I just want to give a shoutout to Confabler who has an amazing blog, thank you so much for nominating me for the Blogger Recognition Award. Everyone reading this should really go check out her blog immediately and I am sure they will love it as much as I do!
How my blog started:
Well I was super obsessed with psychology and writing (I still am) and so one of my friends suggested I start a blog and post things about psychology so I did. What really pushed me to start blogging was also the fact that some day I want to write full time as a career and I felt like I was doing nothing to make that happen and I thought starting a blog would be a good step in the right direction for me.
My advice to new bloggers:
Don’t be afraid. Don’t be afraid to write about exactly what you want to even if it doesn’t get a bunch of likes, even if your opinion isn’t the most popular one, even if you get hate comments, even if you think people will judge you for it, even if it’s a controversial topic. Just go for what you want and don’t let anyone stop you. And don’t get discouraged if you don’t get a lot of likes and followers because once you find your style and get comfortable with what you’re writing you’ll definitely start getting more traffic and even if you don’t you should write for you not for approval.
Just don’t give up on blogging!! Oh and while you’re working on your own blog don’t forget to check out other peoples blogs too. Blogging is a two way street and you’ll enjoy the whole experience more if you make friends with other bloggers and get to know their content!
