A splash of fear
A spoonful of anxiety
A pinch of panic
A dab of regret
A dash of excitement
A burst of surprise
A spot of love
And an entire bowl of happiness
There have been a lot of new beginnings in my life recently and hopefully there will be many more to come. These new beginnings are what inspired this poem that you are reading today. They can be extremely terrifying and anxiety inducing. Especially for someone like me who is almost always anxious anyway. However, a new beginning can also be very tempting. It beckons new adventures and a fresh start. To me, it means a chance at bettering yourself. And a chance at growing and at becoming a better version of who I am. There is so much potential in a new beginning. There are infinite possibilities.
