My Canadian Experience

A lot has changed in the past few days. I’m in a foreign country where I know absolutely no one, have no idea where anything is located and I haven’t found an apartment to stay in yet however I have no anxiety at all what so ever. Since I have landed in Canada my anxiety and insomnia have seemed to completely disappear. I don’t know why or how but for some reason Canada has a way of making people feel as if they’re finally home. Like you’ve finally reached the destination you’ve been looking for your entire life. No I haven’t had only good experiences but I haven’t had any horrible experiences either. Seeing new places, trying new things, just being somewhere else is exhilarating. I love travelling and new experiences and this has been the best one yet.

I unfortunately couldn’t get pictures of my entire Canadian experience because I’m lazy but I did get pictures of the food (duh!). As you may or may not know I’m trying to go vegan so I decided to try out a vegan place in St. Catharines called Rise Above. I think it’s the only place in St. Catharines that is completely vegan (it also has gluten free options) and no they are not sponsoring me to write all this 😂

So I have orientation tomorrow which I’m really looking forward to! Tell you more about my “Canadian Experience” when I get some time!

  22. Welcome to Canada!

Have you visited a Tim Horton’s yet? It is part of the Canadian experience though if you’re going to be going to school here for the next four years, take your time! Studies do come first.

    1. Thank you!! Yeah I did go to a Tim Horton because our university gave us a card for a free cookie! Also there are like 4 Tim Horton in my university so it would be almost impossible not to go there! 😜
