New Years Resolutions?

So I usually don’t like to make New Years resolutions because if I want to change something about my life I think I should do it whenever not at a specific time but I understand how a new year can serve as motivation for change for a lot of people and thought I would try it out myself!

I decided to make some goals for the coming year and share them with you guys so we can take the journey together and see if I can stick to them or lose interest in a few weeks…

And before I share my list I want to wish everyone else who has a resolution this year good luck!

Here are my New Years resolutions:

  1. Make more time for blogging
  2. Eat healthier
  3. Write at least one page a day
  4. Include new topics on the blog like recipes
  5. Study in advance and don’t leave assignments for last minute
  6. Explore more
  7. Read more
  8. Build a snowman (that one’s just for fun!)
  9. Don’t give up on German!
  10. Learn something new everyday
  11. Start a YouTube Channel over summer
  12. Support more blogs
  13. Get a job
  14. Be more communicative with my feelings instead of repressing everything

That’s it for now! Let’s see if I get through all of them… or any of them!

  6. I don’t really have any New Year’s resolutions necessarily, but I do however have some goals that I think could be accomplished this year if I work towards them and make them a priority.
    1) being able to eat and go to a movie alone
    2) travelling to new places within Ohio on my own
    3) competing in a powerlifting meet for the first time
    4) getting my certification in personal training
    5) making my own personal training business after getting certified
    6) creating my own shirts/apparel
    7) eating a more sustainable diet
8)getting a full time job so I don’t have to work two jobs 🙂
    9) Move to a bigger city
    10) looking into quitting fast food (except for sit down restaurants) this will take some time and discipline but I do want to do it.

I have some other minor things I want done and I hope to create my list soon here so I check things of off as I do it!
I think you have a fairly lengthy list yourself but they are all very possible to accomplish.

    1. Thanks for sharing those! They sound amazing and I really hope you can accomplish them by the end of the year!
I like you can never eat alone or go to a movie alone so I might have to steal that goal!
What cities are you thinking of moving to? Is it going to be in Ohio or a different state/country?

      1. I am thinking about staying in Ohio but possibly moving to Columbus 🙂 I have never lived in a bigger city, and want the feel and the experience and job opportunities and different people 🙂 I want a new atmosphere than what I am used to, even if it is on the outskirts of the city, just a new place. ya know.
Also, yes, we both should do my goal of eating and movie theater alone, I think it is a good one to be honest, especially if I do move someplace new.

        1. Yeah I can totally understand you wanting to have a different environment and atmosphere. Sometimes it really feels amazing.
Yeah I think it would be a really great goal to add to my list!

  7. Really great goals- love that you put build a snowman on there too 🙂

    1. Hahaha thanks!!

  8. Good luck with your resolutions, Pooja.

    1. Thank you!!

  9. Well, I guess I am a little late for new year resolutions (I mean given the fact that it is almost mid-2018) but who cares I am gonna enroll myself for French classes anyway….hopefully by the end of this month 🙂 Well I’hv been postponing it for the past 3 years…..Procrastinating is my second name :)…Anyway happy to follow you Pooja…this is Piyali from India

    1. Hahaha it’s never too late to learn something new! It took me like 4 years to finally get to learning German (and I’m still not done!). Thanks for sharing your resolution and best of luck with it!
Nice to meet you and I really liked your blog too!

  10. […] So before this year started I posted a bunch of resolutions that I wanted to achieve this year which is not something I usually do because I’m not a big fan of the whole making resolutions thing but a bunch of other bloggers were doing it and it seemed fun so I thought I would give it a try. So I thought since the year is almost over which resolutions I kept and which ones didn’t work out as planned! To check out the resolutions post click here.  […]
