Stephen Hawking – probably the greatest mind of the last fifty years – right up there with Einstein and Newton – has just fallen into his own black hole. The Hawking radiation of his life will continue to radiate from that black hole for centuries to come.
Here’s a few quotes that I can relate to.
Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.
The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.
I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined, and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road.

Thanks for the reblog Pooj. Stephen had some great sayings. I think this one is my favourite: “We are just an advanced breed of monkeys on a minor planet of a very average star. But we can understand the Universe. That makes us something very special,”

This is probably a sad statement, but I didn’t even know who he was or his importance in our history, so I had to do some research. I don’t remember having many discussions at school or with peers about him but from what I have learned, he was very intelligent and had a great personality when you got to know him 😀 he was quite comical I guess.

Yeah I can understand how people who aren’t really into science aren’t familiar with him. For me personally, I was absolutely obsessed with his work when I was in high school and he has always been a idol to me. I remember reading all his books and just being so fascinated. He definitely had such an amazing personality too! Quite comical indeed!
