Six Word Story #16

Six Word Story

Six Word Story:

She ran but he caught up.

Six Word Story:

Todays six word story is one that really depends on the reader because it can be interpreted as romantic but also as horror. Depending on how one thinks of it, of course. If you are a bit of a romantic, you may read it and think how romantic. She tried to leave but he caught up with her and saved their relationship. Personally, I’m not a romantic and didn’t think of it like that. In fact, I didn’t even consider that meaning till later on.

When I initially wrote this little six word story, the intention was to write a horror story. That is the theme I had in mind when writing this one. It is supposed to be about someone trying to run away but her captor catching up to her and not being able to escape him. I watch a lot of horror movies and that is what inspired this six word story.

What did you think of it? Which interpretation did you have when you first read it? Did you think it was a romantic story or a horror one? Let me know in the comments below because I would love to hear your thoughts about it. Especially your interpretation because I feel like every reader has their own interpretation and as a writer I’m curious about what different interpretations everyone had about it. Or if you don’t want to answer the questions you can simply stop by and say hi in the comments section!
