Six Word Story #17

Six Word Story:

He cried, I pretended to cry.

About The Six Word Story:

Welcome back to another six word story post. I have been doing more of these lately and hope that you are enjoying them. To be honest, I have really been enjoying coming up with these. I know that not everyone understands the concept of six word stories. And some may think they are easy to create since they are just six words. But to be honest, they are actually pretty difficult to write. You need to fit so much into just six words and that isn’t easy. In regular short stories you get to elaborate a little more and have fun with the details but that is obviously not the case for six word stories.

Back to this one in particular. A lot of these stories are inspired by things I have read or seen in media. This one isn’t inspired by anything in particular. But by a number of things I have seen and read. It’s about how relationships or rather the end of them are sometimes one sided. One person in the relationship may be ready to move on from it but the other isn’t. And therefore, the person who is ready to move on sometimes acts sadder than they are so as not to hurt the partners feelings. Of course, it can also be interpreted as something even more sinister if you are a fan of horror or psycho thrillers. The interpretation largely depends not the reader when it comes to these stories.
