How To Write The Perfect About Me Page

For a sample of an About Me page check out mine by clicking here.

Here are some tips on how to write an about me page:

Introduce yourself

Be sure to introduce who you are and why you began the blog. You can tell the reader a little bit more about yourself and your life as well. If you want the blog to be anonymous you can share why you would like to keep it anonymous as well as what motivated you to start the blog.

Tell the reader what to expect from your blog

The reader probably at this point wants to know more about your blog and what they will expect to read/see on it so be sure to let them know what topics you plan to write about. If you aren’t sure exactly what topics you will write on give them an idea of what to expect but be sure to explain that you’ll write about other things as well. Don’t worry too much about being accurate about this because you can always come back and edit this page once you are more sure about what you’ll be writing about.

Tell the reader more about your hobbies and interests

The reason someone clicked on your About Me page is because they want to know more about you so be sure to share your interests and things you like (or don’t like!). If your blog is anonymous maybe you can share a few things you don’t mind sharing or skip this part altogether.

Be precise

It’s easy to ramble on when you’re making this kind of a page (I had to do multiple edits on mine!) so try to edit out the unnecessary stuff and stick to introducing yourself, talking about your interests and what to expect from the blog.

Share your social media pages or email address

It’s always a good idea to leave ways to contact you at the end of the page such as links to your social media or your email address. This will help drive traffic to your social media pages as well as help your readers contact you more easily.
