Tangie shares her pains, struggles and blessings to encourage women through her blog http://www.tangietwoods.blog. Some of her endeavors are initiating Women’s Monthly Bible Studies and Fellowship Dinners. Both held in various cities. Real Talk events featuring younger sisters as speakers, and as teachers in breakout sessions. She formed the Sisters Evangelizing Team (tSET) to focus on sisters getting outside church buildings and evangelizing in the communities, and she initiated a support network group for wives of elders, deacons and ministers.

Tangie has been blessed to speak at ladies’ day programs at Legrand Church of Christ in Montgomery, Alabama, at Central Church of Christ in Chiefland, Florida; and twice at Woodland Place Church of Church in Ocala, Florida.

Her first 2020 speaking engagement, Lord willing, is scheduled on March 7, 2020, at Hickory College Church of Christ in Summer Shade, Kentucky.

Tangie was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, and was baptized into Christ at Holt Street Church of Christ. She graduated from Trenholm State Technical College with two associate degrees, and later graduated from Troy University Montgomery with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.

She has been employed with the United States Federal Government since 1987; and served in numerous positions with the Department of the Air Force and with Veterans Health Administration. Lord willing, she plans to retire in 2023.

Tangie is blessed to be married to Felton D. Woods, Minister of Gainesville Church of Christ, in Gainesville, Florida. They have three adult children (Ashley, Audriana and William); and a beautiful granddaughter, Charlayne.

Her favorite scripture is “…Do it all for the glory of God.” ~ I Corinthians 10:31.

  8. Thank you PoojaG for sharing Tangie’s story, I was inspired. And thank you for encouraging me by reading my posts. We will never know how much impact our lives have for the kingdom of God until we stand before Him to give an account. My life’s mission verse is 2 Corinthians 5:10 (ESV) “For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” Your post about Tangie reminded me that all I do must bring God glory and must have eternal value.
    God Bless you richly. Joyce
