Six Word Story #58

Six Word Story:

“I will take care of it.”

About The Six Word Story:

As you guys know, I love writing these six word stories for you. And from the feedback and responses that I have received on them, I am happy to say that it seems you like reading these little stories too. I am really thankful for that since it is always a win when both you and your audience enjoy the same thing. It gives me a reason to continue writing these, knowing you enjoy them so much.

So this is a special six word story because it was created by my dad! He pictures it as kind of a mafia movie line but my mum thinks it’s more of a sweet promise than a threat. Which do you guys think it sounds more like?

Have you ever been afraid and constantly looked over your shoulder? If so, how did you deal with it? What lessons did you learn from that experience? If you want to, of course. Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below because I would love to hear them. Or simply just stop by and say hi! And don’t forget to leave your own six word story in the comments because I always enjoy reading them!

  1. 😂😂Depends on the intonation

    1. Yeah that’s true!

  2. My life motto. Love it

    1. Thank you!!

  3. That’s the thing about dads! Hey Pooja, my latest six word story prompt. Do give it a try. ♥️

    1. Thanks I’ll check it out!!

      1. Yay! Looking forward to it. 🙂

  4. I love that, so me it’s sounds like a comforting reassurance.

    1. Aww that’s so nice!

  5. Michael Corleone says exactly these words to Don Vito Corleone in The Godfather. Gotta go with your Dad.

    1. Ok so that’s definitely a point for my dad!

  6. …you don’t have to worry now.

    1. Yes love that addition!

        1. You’re welcome!

  7. I saw it as some comforting assurance. Interesting how gender plays on each differing perspective.

    1. Yeah that is interesting I hadn’t even thought about that!

  8. I think it’s sweet! It shows kind of protective 🥰

    1. Aww that’s nice!

  9. It’s so funny. Before I even read what you said about your parents, I had the same train of thought. I read it in a sweet voice then my subconscious read it in a thug voice hehe.

    1. I did the same- and I’m sure the the second voice was Liam Neeson. 😂

    2. Haha lol I guess most people can see it in both forms!

  10. I can picture the scene…you’ve got a puncture on your bike…and ask your father to address the issue….these 6 words would work perfectly.

    1. Haha! Yes fits well.

    2. Ooh yes I can definitely see that!

  11. I must watch too many movies because I thought of Mafia too, as soon as I read it and saw the back of his head haha.

    1. I actually am leaning towards mafia too!

  12. Very sinister!!

    1. Agreed!

  13. Most times, even if we know we’re capable of doing something, just hearing this makes all the difference.

    1. That’s very true!

  14. I saw it as both simultaneously 😆. I still couldn’t tell you which is stronger. Perhaps I’m a born diplomat 😄.

    1. I definitely have a habit of holding multiple perspectives simultaneously, though. Like enumerating all of the possibilities for existence.

      1. That’s actually a good way to look at things. I can be the opposite way and I’m trying to look at things more your way.

    2. Yes you would be perfect for that job! You can be Switzerland!

  15. your daddy perspective its some kind of melancholic also

    1. Yeah I thought so too!

  16. I really like your Six word stories. They’re powerful.

    1. Glad you enjoy them!!

  17. The image makes me feel more what your dad is saying – like an empty promise. However, without the moody photo I could definitely be an optimist about it and see the reassurance.

    1. Yeah I think the image I used was a little bias lol!

  18. I agree with your mom.

    1. Ok awesome!

  19. Thanks for your post 👍

    1. Thanks!

  20. I’m with your dad; the six word-story, combined with the photo, reminds me of the mob…

    1. Yeah I thought so too!

  21. Mafia for sure.

    1. I think so too!

  22. Again I’m intrigued by your six word story. Actually when I read it at first I leaned towards your dad’s side of interpreting the story, thus before I even read furthur down to see both him and your mom had contrasting ideas. But it also reminds me of my mom. Most times when I speak to her on phone very worried about certain things all she says is “I will take care of it”😂❤

    1. Haha yes that’s what mothers are like for sure!

  23. The pic had me thinking of a mob movie.

    1. Yeah I think the picture gives it more of a mob vibe.

  24. Omg I love that your parents are involved! In my opinion it can go either way. At first I interpreted it as someone who’s taking care of it because the other person wouldn’t and they are fed up!

    1. Yup my parents are always super involved which is nice! I didn’t even think of it as someone who’s fed up that’s a whole new way of looking at it!

      1. I love how many perspectives there can be!

  25. The eery background makes it seem more mafia like. But I understand how it could be taken as a sweet promise. Thats so fun to include you parents!

    1. Yeah they had fun reading the responses too! I can see both too but I lean towards mafia.

  26. It’s a sweet threat and I hope not to be on the receiving end.

    1. Yup I don’t think anyone would want to be on the receiving end of that!

  27. The calming effect this statement has is unmatched

    1. Thank you!

  28. Don’t we always

  29. Seems like it should be a comforting phrase, but combined with the picture it just comes off as ominous! I love it!

    1. Haha thank you!
