10 Of My Favourite Feelings Tag

10 Of My Favourite Feelings Tag

I want to thank Xandria for coming up with this awesome idea for a tag and for nominating me for the 10 Of My Favourite Feelings Tag. I think this is such a fun idea because let’s be honest- we could all use more positive things right now. This is a great way to be thankful for all the good things in your life and to remind yourself that there’s a lot of good out there.

The Rules For The 10 Of My Favourite Feelings Tag

List out 10 of your favourite feelings! It’s honestly just that simple!

My Feelings

Falling asleep while it rains outside

There’s something about the rain that makes me feel really calm and at peace. I always end up having the best nights sleep when it’s raining out and I absolutely love that feeling. I also love the way it smells after it rains- it’s so nature-y (clearly that’s not a great way to describe it but it will do for now…) and I love that.

Laughing with friends

This is something I really miss during quarantine. I’m an introvert and not great at socialising with people I don’t know but I love that hanging out with people I know and am comfortable around. I really miss laughing with my friends and just hanging out with them in general which is why this feeling is on my list.

Playing cards with my family

When I went home last summer we spent almost every evening playing cards and it was so much fun. Nothing compares to the feeling of laughing and having a good time with your family.

Binge watching a really good show

I am a total binge watcher. I hate watching one episode at a time and finding a good, long show to binge watch is such a great feeling. Especially right now- I don’t have much to do except binge watch stuff.

Socialising with other bloggers

Talking to you guys in the comments section/on social media/via email is one of my favourite feelings because it is just so much fun for me. I think the socialising with everyone is my favourite part of blogging for me and the feeling is just amazing.

Reading

Curling up with a good book is such a calming feeling. Reading is one of the best escapes. And since I can’t really go out and explore in real life at least I can do it through books!

Imagining going back in time

Okay, this is a weird one but you have to remember I’m a history major… and also a quite weird person… I like to imagine what it would be like to go back in time and just watch all the stuff I learn about (from afar of course because being a POC back in the day would be pretty awful). It’s just exciting for me I guess and also helps me remember the stuff I’m learning better.

Sharing a meal with people you love

As you guys know I’m a foodie and what makes the food better is sharing it with people you love. The feeling of eating a meal together with family/friends is honestly so much fun. Definitely one of my favourite feelings.

When you’re travelling and finally reach your destination

I know people usually say it’s about the journey but when it comes to actual travel I get super sick of sitting in the plane and for me it’s about the destination lol. Although, I like the journey when I’m road tripping though. I love the feeling of finally reaching your destination after a long journey. It’s so exciting!

Having a good cry

This is another kind of weird one but I actually really enjoy the feeling you get after you have a good cry. You feel kind of relieved and refreshed. I think the reason I enjoy this feeling is because I spent a long time thinking crying is bad or showing emotion is bad and holding everything in because I could not express myself. Now if I feel like crying I just go for it and honestly it makes me feel way better to just let everything out.

  1. All your points are absolutely true and I agree more with the rain and books

    1. Thank you so much!

  2. Amazing !!!! Im so glad you did this tag. & couldn’t agree more regarding having a good ol cry! 🤍🤍

    1. Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the post and thanks again for nominating me! A good cry can really be extremely helpful for sure.

  3. There’s actually a professor of (not at one time) biological anthropology, cultural anthropology, archaeology, economic anthropology and globalization, sociology, and cultural diversity at Ohio state university who wrote a book on UFO’s that says it’s very likely us time traveling because life on other planets is unlikely anywhere (especially humanoid). Just as a theory so people give up on the alien thing.
    Maybe you’ll get your wish?

    1. Hmm that’s very interesting and I think it would be amazing if I could time travel at some point!!

      1. He’s interesting, I’m not sure he’d float your boat because of the UFO subject… but I listened to interviews and he goes over what the biology of reported aliens would be a result of through evolution. Like, the large eyes are possible but they’d be nearsighted to the point of almost blind and the “black eyes” are possibly contact lenses that both help them see and protect them from severe damage being large..
His view is that, if we could time travel, it’d be exactly the same as reports.
Maybe we’ll develop time travel. 🤷‍♂️
        😂

        1. Hmm that’s interesting I’ve actually never thought of evolution and time travel like that. I haven’t thought of UFO’s/aliens like that either.

          1. Yeah. It’s weird and interesting. If parts of the brain evolve like they have the eyes will get bigger because the sockets will get more shallow, hence the nearsighted eyesight. The black contacts would be that the eyes would get damaged from the sun easily so they’d be like sunglasses/goggles/contacts: not black eyes. I forget why he said they were grey. At least some of them.. some are tall and look more human…

            1. It’s definitely an interesting way to think about it and to think about evolution in general. Now I’m kind of picturing what humans will look like in the future and it’s kind of weird but in a good way.

              1. Is the UFO subject interesting to you? I can search a link for an interview with the guy.

                1. Yes that would be awesome thank you!

                  1. I know I’ve listened to this one and he goes over the eyes thing in it..

                    1. Awesome thanks I’ll check it out!

  4. Your answers are amazing! I will surely make a blog about this, I’m excited.

    1. Yay I’m excited to read what your 10 feelings are!

  5. Thank you for nominating me, Pooja! ♥️ That is so sweet of you to include me in your list of nominees. I’m going to complete this tag but I’m not entirely sure when it will happen. You know me too well! 🤗Btw, your list gives me good vibes too. 🌺

    1. Thank you! Feel free to do the post whenever you can there’s absolutely no pressure!

      1. I really want to do this tag. It looks like fun! 🌻🌻

        1. It’s super fun and you totally should!

          1. I am swamped with projects right now but when I get a chance to compete it I will. Plus I need a blog post for June so this is probably gonna be the one 😀

            1. I understand- it gets super stressful when you’re at university/studying. I look forward to reading the post whenever it goes up!

              1. I have a 12 page group paper (which nobody else has looked at except me; I hate group projects) due next week, another scholarly paper based on a movie we had to watch due Monday, anecdotal note due Friday, clinical group project we just got which is due Tuesday, group charter agreement thing due next week, and a midterm evaluation (another writing thing) due next week.

                1. Oh man group papers are the absolute worst. I always end up doing all the work or at least most of it. Good luck with all that!

                  1. Yeah… it’s like lazy people can sniff the hard workers from a mile away. They love to take advantage of us knowing that we can’t afford to submit incomplete work. I’m very concerned about these projects. They might be able to afford a F but failing is not an option for me. 😐

                    1. I know and they are so ungrateful about it too. I snapped at some random guy last semester. He was the worst.
I really hope you don’t fail. I think if they really don’t put any effort you should talk to your professor. They’re quite understanding about these kind of situations.

                    2. OMG if I was working with that guy, I would have cried. I cannot afford to fail… my whole future depends on passing this course. So even if it means that I pull a couple all nighters to finish this project on time, it’s a price I’m gonna have to pay. That being said, I will be going to the prof if this thing doesn’t get done on time. So much is riding on my future right now. I do my best to stay positive but group projects really wear me down.😓

                    3. I did cry but after that I got super pissed lol. I understand how you feel and I guess they seem to know that you need to pass so they’re not bothering since they know you’ll do all the work. I think even if the project is done on time you should inform your teacher that you did it on your own because it’s unfair that these people piggyback off your hard work. Group projects definitely are a downer when you’re stuck with people who don’t care. Just try your best.

                    4. The group charter thing we have to do as a group is a big joke considering that they aren’t doing anything. Yeah. I might tell the prof after I hand this project in, just in case the group decides to pull their weight at the last minute or something. I’m going to make it very clear to them that these documents (2) need to be handed in BEFORE the deadline on Friday. And I don’t mean 1 minute before the deadline. I’m responsible for handing on the assignments and and they know I’m not a last minute worker. I made that VERY clear from the beginning.
Yup. Group work SUCKS. I already swore a few times this week due to frustration. I would have preferred to write an exam vs. whatever this is. 😠

                    5. Yeah good you should be very upfront about that and make sure they know that they need to do their half of the work on time.
I prefer research papers or exams compared to group work. I don’t even understand why universities still have group work. It never ends well.

                    6. Same! I would take an exam, midterm or scholarly reflection over this 💩 any day. I ended up venting to the prof today because I was so upset. My group is ignoring the group chat!!! So annoying. The prof defended them but at least she’s aware of the situation. 🤷‍♀️

                    7. I’m glad you spoke to her in advance so at least she knows what’s going on. One of my professors told me to always speak to the professor in advance if you feel like your partner/group is useless/not doing any work.

                    8. It’s better that the prof knows, so she can’t tell me that I should have said something in case this project ends up being a dumpster fire! I am doing what I can on this project but as of right now, I have decided not to upload my portion to the online document. My plan is to make it look like I’m not working on it because I am sick of hounding them… it might scare them into doing something… or not. 🤦‍♀️
I asked them to meet tomorrow but at this point, I have heard nothing from either of them. I am beyond annoyed. So now I will withhold my information until they post something. It’s their turn to make a move – I can’t play the game if the other players aren’t in this game too! ♟

                    9. Yeah you shouldn’t post either. People like that don’t work hard or at all because they know that you’re a hard worker. However, they probably also want to pass the class so eventually if they realise that you’re not going to do all the work for them they will hopefully start doing their parts.

  6. I love sleeping when it is raining. 🙂
I feel like many of my likes are similar to yours but I will do this tag 🙂
