It's My Blogiversary

It’s my blogiversary you guys! I’m so excited to have been on this blogging journey for six whole years (technically five if you count it as 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2019-2020 but I’ve been counting it as 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020). And I can not thank everyone enough for showing me so much support over the years. You guys have always been so supportive, encouraging and kind to me and I am so grateful to be part of this amazing community and platform. I will always be thankful that I joined WordPress and I look forward to having so many more years of blogging.

As a celebration game I wanted to get to know you guys better on my Blogiversary! I thought this would be a fun way for us to interact so here are some questions I have for you guys! No pressure to answer all of them or even any of them. But I would really love to learn more about you guys so if you want leave the answers in the comments below!

    Congratulations on your blog anniversary! Here’s to more years of blogging.
    1) What’s your favourite colour? ~ Blue and White
    2) Why did you start blogging? ~ A friend who had her own blog inspired me to start my own 🙂
    3) What is your most cherished memory? ~ Hmmm. I felt like a child during my first international trip (South Korea 2017)
    4) If you could have one superpower what would it be? ~ It would be the power to help alleviate poverty and cure sickness.
    5) If you could make your blog famous over night would you or would you prefer to remain as you are right now? ~ I believe in pouring hard work to everything you do so I’ll go for the latter.
    6) What would be your dream vacation? ~ For now, it would be immersing in a new culture.

    I love the color blue and black. And I started blogging just so I could come in terms with my writing skills. 🤔
    The most cherished memory I have was my trip to Chiangmai, Thailand. It is such a wonderful place, you should visit it someday.
    Oh I would love to hold the power of pausing time.
    I will prefer to be this way, since I haven’t committed to blogging completely yet.
    My dream vacation has always been to spend my time on a boathouse in a serene lake.
    Wow, thank you for asking these qns haha, took me back to good times I had. It would be lovely if you answer these as well, girl! 💙 💙

    Whoa! 6 years?!? I thought your blog was only a couple years old at most! Talk about dedication 🙂 I will answer your questions below:
    1. Favourite colour: pastel purple, blue, and pink (purple being my first choice)
    2. I started blogging because I wanted a safe place to voice how I truly felt, and I felt too restricted on social media platforms like FB, Twitter, and IG. I also wanted to run my own site without having admins and other people working with me. Basically, I wanted to be my own boss. My site, my rules lol
    3. My most cherished memory… hmm, I rather not relive my childhood. It was boring. One memory that stuck with me Is the time my dad bought me a limited edition Winnie the Pooh watch on an airplane. He definitely splurged on that watch and in retrospect, he didn’t care about the cost. I realize money does not matter when you have a child.
    4. Superpower: I wish I was a bird. Birds have the amazing ability to fly. I’m afraid if heights but birds don’t seem to have that fear… it would be nice not to be afraid of heights (and falling).
    5. Sure, I’m open to the idea of going viral but I wouldn’t change my personality or style of my blog for fame. I want to stay authentic. Then again, if I were to get sponsors perhaps I would sell out if the profit margin was good. Idk. Lol
    6. I’be always wanted to go to the cherry blossom in Japan or go to a tropical resort.

        The only way to get over a fear is to experience it. Planes do not bother me though, as I fly on planes quite often. Not during the pandemic though… taking extra precautions. The benefit of being able to fly is that flying is environmentally friendly from a bird’s eye view (pun intended). Imagine how much time you would save too! It’s much faster than walking.

    A friend told me to do so since she loved my poems. And I think blogging makes me feel better and helps me connect with people without having the urge to own a social media account.
    What is your most cherished memory?
    My hattrick wins of Athletics individual championship trophy!
    If you could have one superpower what would it be?
    Eat how much ever i want and never gain weight!
    If you could make your blog famous over night would you or would you prefer to remain as you are right now?
    I think I’d prefer to remain as I’m right now. Because if I become famous over night, I won’t be pushing myself and won’t have the determination to keep going as I’d think my job’s already done.
    What would be your dream vacation?
    I’ve never travelled abroad😕. But I really wish to travel to Europe , Australia and Singapore !
    Oh wait, I actually want to go around the world !
    How about around the world in 80 days !

    2. I started blogging for my love of theatre and to promote my urban fantasy romance mermaid books.
    3. My most cherished memories are always in the water either pool or ocean.
    4. My superpower would be to have a mermaid tail so I can swim under-the-sea and understand what all the mammals and fish are saying.
    5. That would be fintastic to have a famous blog.

    Why did you start blogging?
    – I started blogging because I wanted a way to improve my writing skills and explore my passions.
    What is your most cherished memory?
    – I would say one of my most cherished memories is first meeting my best friend as a kid, and am thankful that I’ve always had someone who’ll be there for me.
    If you could have one superpower what would it be?
    -Probably the ability to stop time, but am still able to move around and do things while time is stopped around me (IMAGINE all the things you could get done).
    If you could make your blog famous over night would you or would you prefer to remain as you are right now?
    -Being famous overnight would be amazing, but I would still want to be able to enjoy writing on my blog without feeling overly-stressed or pressured into writing.
    What would be your dream vacation?
    -To go on a hike through Middle Earth, of course.

    Why did you start blogging? I started blogging because I wanted to write my thoughts about the world.
    What is your most cherished memory? HMM, I have lots! Most of them with my friends.
    If you could have one superpower what would it be? I think it's controlling things with my mind. Haha!
    If you could make your blog famous overnight would you or would you prefer to remain as you are right now? I definitely hope for the best so MAYBE I want to make it famous overnight BUT I think it wouldn't feel the same as having my blog grow at its own pace. 🙂
    What would be your dream vacation? At the beach, chillin' with some green and hanging out with close friends!! 😀

    1. My fave color, ooh I can’t decide. I love both lilac and yellow!
    2. Initially I started blogging because I needed an outlet but now, I continue to blog because I get to meet fun and kind people!
    3. I’m not sure, maybe when I passed my license exam. It has a special place in my heart because I failed the first time I took it!
    4. One superpower, I guess I want to learn how to meditate so deeply that I can detach myself from what’s happening around me!
    5. Oh, no I think I might go insane if my blog becomes famous overnight! I want to but I won’t be able to handle it. I have yet to grow as a blogger!
    6. Ah, dream vacation, wrapped in thick fur coat dancing with the locals on the street, eating local food, celebrating the Midnight Sun Festival, maybe in Norway. That would be awesome!

    My favorite color kind of depends what mood I am in but is usually blue.
    I started blogging to share with people who had been in a Sunday morning bible study but moved back to their countries. It has changed over the years.
    my most cherished memory? Oh my I am old and so many to choose from lol
    If I could have a superpower it would be to heal people whether physically or mentally
    Overnight would be A LOT to handle lol
    My dream vacation would be to spend some weeks in Brazil visiting friends and then to fly to Canada and drive across Canada.

    1. Uhm, my favorite color is changing. Right now, pastel colors: blue and pink, and army green!
    2. I started blogging because I’ve been wanting to share my experiences, thoughts, and the things I learned.
    3. There’s a lot. But most of them are memories of family bondings.
    4. One superpower? It would be the ability to teleport anywhere I want. If that’s the case, I can visit my family in my hometown often and take weekends vacation anywhere in the world without having a problem with the expensive plane tickets and short stays.
    5. That would be awesome, but I will get scared of all the attention and, you know, the pressure. Haha So maybe I prefer growing my blog slowly while working hard for it.
    6. My dream vacation would be chilling with my family and friends on the beach, on top of the mountain, or anywhere where we will be surrounded by nature.

    Congratulations, Pooja! You are such an inspiration to me. I started blogging in order to share my experiences in library school and to show people a side of librarians that they might not normally see. Blogging has become an act of self discovery for me and a way to connect with people I might have never met offline. Increasing my readership is a goal of mine, but I also appreciate having a group of followers that may not number in the thousands but that is really dedicated and interested in what I have to say.

    My year abroad in Italy

    To never lose my patience :))

    Hmm.. I would like it to be famous to reach a greater community and bring reading and literature to all. It would also give me a platform to bring up educational topics and maybe change something. But I would like to be able to refuse collaborations and sponsorships.

    1. My favourite colour is that of fire, but if I had to choose it would be a reddish orange.
    2. I started blogging as a way to document my struggles with depression while representing New Zealand at the World Ultimate Championships.
    3. Watching New Zealand qualify for the football world cup with my family. 🙂
    4. The ability to harness the power of hard work for myself and others even when we don’t have the energy to.
    5. I would wish my blog to remain as it is, otherwise I might miss out on the opportunity of getting to know the awesome people who I would be growing alongside.
    6. Somewhere in the snow in a lodge in the mountains. Lots of tea, pens and paper, and my computer to write, and keep in touch with people.

    What’s your favourite colour? – Black, blue and yellow sometimes.
    Why did you start blogging? – To challenge myself mostly and to express myself and talk about things I love and meet like-minded people.
    What is your most cherished memory? – Uh, I don’t really know😅. But my favorite memories are mostly from my childhood when I had little to no real life problems😌.
    If you could have one superpower what would it be? – Invisibility.
    If you could make your blog famous over night would you or would you prefer to remain as you are right now? -I think I actually enjoy being lowkey at the moment. I’d be overwhelmed by the attention and probably disappear so I’d go with the latter.
    What would be your dream vacation? I’ve always wanted to visit Paris since the day I watched Madeline, I’m hoping Paris would be the first country I travel to of I ever get to travel outside the country.

    1) Blue ( blue is England and India cricket colours and they are both my favourite teams)
    2) I struggled with anxiety at university and wanted to raise awareness of mental health issues at university to help others
    5) I actually wouldn’t want to make it famous overnight, I would like to work my way into having more views and followers as that would be more satisfying!

    Congratulations – I just celebrated 6 years as well, but I haven’t put enough work into my blog – I’m blaming my daughter and her superbusy schedule (Momguilt. It’s not just for holidays any more).
    1. My favorite color is Blue. No yel– Auuuuuuuugh! (yes I am a Monty Python fan, why do you ask?). But really, it’s blue.
    2. Why did you start blogging? So many reasons. As an accidental mother and anti-suburbanite living in suburbia, it took me years to find my un-Stepford clique. I wanted to let other square pegs know that we’re out there, sitting in the back of the classroom sipping “coffee” from our travel mugs.
    3. It’s a tie between becoming an accidental mother (car towed away with meds in the trunk) and watching my mother light up when my super shy husband told her “I love you” without her saying it first.
    4. Time travel. It’s About Time is one of my favorite movies – I would love nothing more than to be able to spend more time with my mother and grandparents.
    5. Hmmmm – I would love to have a more successful blog/more followers, but not overnight – too sudden of a change
    6. My dream vacation? 6 months to travel through Europe, staying at small B&Bs and boutique hotels and hitting the “off the beaten path” spots.
