Blogger Interview With Dana

Blogger Interview

I want to thank Dana for being a part of this interview and she has a really great blog so please do take a minute to check it out- the link is below.]

1. Thanks so much for being a part of this interview. Please tell us a little about yourself and what your blog is about.

My name is Dana Kearney. I am from Oakland, CA.  I love to write poetry, novels, children’s books, astrology, and pretty much anything new I learn. My blog started off as a book review blog and I still write book reviews, but I love to write about poetry, health, astrology, and things to keep people informed.

2. When and why did you start blogging?

I started my blog in 2016 just to have fun. I  started writing book reviews and sometimes I still do, but now I write poetry, astrology, health, and women’s articles.

3. How has blogging improved your life?

Blogging gives me an opportunity to express my opinion and spread knowledge about different topics. I feel accomplished knowing that I can write something at least once a week.

4. What is your favourite and least favorite thing about blogging?

I love that I get to write about things that I love and people enjoy what I write.

My least favorite thing is that I feel like I need to continue writing when I may not have the most polished material.

5. When did you know you wanted to be a writer?

I’ve always been a writer. I wrote poetry as a child. I loved creative writing because essays and articles were difficult for me. After college my writing improved dramatically , and I feel more confident to write anything, so I wrote a novel and children’s books.

6. What tips would you give to someone who wants to be a writer or blogger?

You have to start at some point. Plan a year of what you might write and get started. It is difficult and you may have a lot to learn along the way. Don’t give up, because if you really want to it will work out for you.

7. What has been your favourite post to write so far and why?

My series on the secret women’s club is my favorite because I got to research and learn so much. Women don’t talk about their issues very often so I feel like it can help others understand things better.

8. What are some of your future goals for your blog?

I just want to get 1000 subscribers and continue producing content that people enjoy.

9. What is one place you really want to visit?

I would love to go to Hawaii. I have never been and it looks beautiful.
