“Black History Month is a reminder
that America with the help of African leaders
chain and forced balcks out of Africa
enslave blacks for approximatedly 400 years
of slavery with Reconstruction, Jim Crow Segregation,
Affirmative Action + attached
depriving blacks of freedom, justice, and equality
*&* haven’t made *Reparations*
Black Histoiry Month
in reality is a farse and mockery in World History!!!”
Thanks for reminding us about the things that matter! When I still had my teaching job I loved the opportunity to talk about it. I loved to start this thought-provoking process among teenagers. I miss being a teacher! I miss kids and their honest feedback about everything. I wish our education was more critical-thinking oriented. Thanks again!
I was happy to reblog them! I didn’t know a lot of these till I got to university which is crazy because I feel like a lot of them should be common knowledge.
Tiani’s post was so informative – I wish we were taught more of these things in schools and that Westerns did a better job accurately showing the black cowboys in the West!!
Thank you for your post. I really didn’t know that about black cowboys and the north pole explorer. How fascinating.
I’m glad you learnt something new. Both of those are not very well known.
Thanks for sharing! These were some facts I definitely did not know!
Glad it was helpful!
