Blogger Interview With Ominiran

Blogger Interview
I have been a fan of Ominiran’s blog for a while now and I was super excited when she emailed me because I thought it would be so awesome to interview her and of course it totally was! I really hope you guys take a minute to check out her blog because I’m sure you’ll love it.
1. Thanks so much for being a part of this interview. Tell us a little bit about yourself and what your blog is about.
My name is Ominiran Oluwabukolami. I am a Nigerian. I currently am an apprentice in Fashion designing.  My blog is a lifestyle blog. It’s a blog that doesn’t have a limit to what is being talked about. I take my audiences on a roller coaster of posts that are very informative but fun too.
2. When did you start your blog and what made you decide to start blogging?
I started my blog last year August. I actually started blogging because I wanted a space where I could share my thoughts with people other than the people around me physically. I wanted to share my thoughts and views and also have to hear what other people thought of it.
3. You write about a number of topics on your blog- do you have a favourite topic to write about?
Hmm…. I would love to do a series on the best things in Nigeria. I feel like most people have the wrong perspective on Nigeria as a country. Not their fault though but then I would also love to share the sweet things about being a Nigeria and living in Nigeria.
4. What advice would you give someone who is thinking about becoming a blogger or that just started blogging?
Being a blogger is another life on its own so if you want to be a blogger, you must sure it is a passion. You should have a zeal for it. When I started my blog, I was excited but after a while, I got tired because I wasn’t having so much engagement. The passion I had for it was what helped me later get back to it. It’s not easy especially with all the techy stuffs you have to work with. So you must be ready to research, love what you do and be consistent.
5. What are some of your long term goals for blogging?
One of my long term goals is having 5k followers… Consistent ones. Possibly earning from blogging and making friends from this space.
6. How do you balance blogging and everything else going on in your life?
Just today, I was thinking of the fact that I did not made a post on Thursday which is the set day for new blog post. This happened because I haven’t had the time to sort out the new blog post. Balancing everything else with blogging is not easy. But time management helps a great deal.
7. What is your favourite food?
My favorite food is Garri… It’s like a cereal… it’s made from cassava and in Nigeria, It’s like the food associated with people who have nothing to eat. But I love it so much because it easy to make and it’s cheap. It can also be taken with milk, sugar, groundnut, fish and chilled water. Just the thought of it is making me crave for it. I also love spaghetti and sauce.
8. What is your favourite childhood memory?
I grew up with my Uncle. My cousins, my sister and I had so much fun memories together. Especially during our summer holidays. I remember the times we became really crazy with Korean movies. We bought so many without my Uncle’s knowledge and I remember trekking a long distance just to buy it. I also remember nights that we pretended to be asleep just to have watch the movies in the midnight on the laptop. And yes, we were caught once.
9. If you could have any superpower what would it be?
I would love to be invincible. The thoughts of what I could do with that superpower 😂

  2. I love Korean movies too. LOL. I am terrible at drawing and designing, but I always admire people who can do it. Fashion designing is fascinating.

  3. Another cool lifestyle blog to check out! I can definitely relate that you should have a passion in blogging since it requires commitment.

  4. Thank you for the introduction to a blog that you like. I think choosing interview questions can be difficult. Why don’t you interview yourself for a post? I will now visit your friend’s post at your recommendation. – David
