1. Thanks so much for being a part of this interview. Tell us a little bit about yourself and what your blog is about.
Hii! Thanks for having me! My name is Poorwa. I’m a 15 years old girl, studying in my final year of school, from India. I’m a huge music lover and I listen to music and also sing along all the time. Other than music, I love to draw, play video games, and many more things. I always love to learn new things. Poorwa’s blog is mainly a lifestyle blog. I write about my daily life, things I like and dislike, also on the topics I find relative and attract me. I love to write about music the most, I do song reviews on my blog and I like that very much, my favorite genres are K-pop and Pop. I also love Photography, so I sometimes share glances of my garden in my posts. My blog is open for collaborations, guest posts, and interviews too, so these days I’m working on some fun projects with my blogging friends.
2. When did you start your blog and what made you decide to start blogging?
I had blogging as a chapter in school, and it was interesting. I made my blog on my birthday in December 2019 but I didn’t post anything because my board exams of 10th grade were close. Then suddenly in March 2020, the pandemic and lockdown all came in between, I decided to give it a try. I even gave up posting a few times but I’m glad that I tried again and now I don’t have any plans to stop blogging any sooner, I’m in love with it. 3. You write about a number of topics on your blog- do you have a favorite topic to write about?
As I said- I love writing about music the most! I believe that music has no language barrier and I never hesitate to listen to new artists. I mostly listen to K-pop and Western Pop, and also the songs in Hindi, Spanish, Japanese, and whatever I like. I do album reviews, EP reviews, and song reviews on my blog and also give song recommendations to my readers. The reason why I like writing about music the most because my readers support me a lot. They are also big music lovers like me so it doesn’t take too much time for me to write a long post talking about my music taste and about my favorite artists. 4. What inspires you to continue blogging?
My readers and the feedback I get! I had never tried writing before I started blogging, but after I find it interesting and started to blog continuously, I realized it is something I needed for a long time. Our daily lives are just too tiring and the blogosphere is like a place that saves me from my real life in a good way. I have made so many friends here and it really feels like they are my real-life friends, there are some things that I hesitate to share with my family or friends but I feel comfortable with the people here. This feeling is all that inspires me to continue blogging.
5. What are some of your long term goals for blogging?
I recently surpassed 500 WP followers on my blog, so my next goal is to reach the milestone of 1000+ followers. I know it won’t be too easy but I believe that I can do it!
6. Is there something about blogging that you dislike or don’t particularly enjoy?
I don’t like promoting my posts on social media, especially on Instagram. Promoting my blog on social media is much harder for me than writing and publishing a post and I really don’t enjoy it. Other than that, I hate plagiarism. I have even experienced it once when someone copied my whole post from word to word and it was so damn frustrating and annoying. Thankfully, I made him delete the post he copied but I really hate it when someone copies other’s hard work.
7. What is your favorite food?
I love food but I don’t like to eat. I’m very choosy when it comes to food. But maybe my favorite is Indian food. You know the combination of rice, dal, vegetables and all, I love it the most. Then I love spicy food like chicken and also sweets and deserts a lot!
8. What was your favorite cartoon as a child?
My favorite was Ben 10. It’s not that I don’t like it now but I love Pokemon, and other Disney shows more.
9. If you could have any superpower what would it be?
To control the time! Time is something really important in every case and I really wish that I could control it.
