Blogger Interview With Utkarsh

Blogger Interview

I want to thank Utkarsh for stopping by lifesfinewhine and please do check out his wonderful blog which will be linked below at the end of the interview.

  1. Thanks so much for being a part of this interview. Tell us a little bit about yourself and what your blog is about.

Hi Pooja Thank you for having me on your 6 word story series, its indeed a privilege for me. I am Utkarsh, from Lucknow(UP) and I work in Bangalore in a corporate bank full-time. Along with this full-time job I sneak out at times to satiate my travel buds and weave a story around it. My blog is kind of a side hustle that I do ,I love travelling especially to the mountains , observing their beauty, lifestyle of people over there and many related things. My blog is an assimilation of my travel experiences, diaries of my journeys and  some resources /inspirations/tips that I like to share.

  1. When did you start your blog and what made you decide to start blogging?

It’s a fairly new blog, I started it in 2020 when the pandemic hit and everyone was forced to stay at home. Some extra time in hand made me pull this through. Having said this my fascination for travel especially mountains date back to my college days. When I used to sneak with my college friends to these beautiful places in Himachal and Uttrakhand    .These huge rocky structures have always been more than vacation points for me. Its a source of inspiration, empowerment & a whole lot of learning for me. And somehow I always had this urge to bring out these feelings of me .Hence I thought blogging could be one such medium and started my Journeys from Heart.

3.What are some of your favourite things about travelling?

Being from the Army background I have been exposed to these mountains from childhood. Life in mountains is tough. As a tourist one might only see the happy side of the picture, but there’s more to it. Most things in cities that we take for granted come with struggle in the mountains. People there face hardships on a daily basis yet they don’t stop and are always so welcoming. This is really inspiring for me. And then there are these mountains which are so powerful and yet they accept us with such humility .This perfect harmony is something that I absolutely love.

4.What are some of your long term blogging goals?

I want to explore towns/villages in the mountains which are a little offbeat, as many as possible. Experience the hidden beauty that these unusual places encapsulate among themselves, interact with the people there, take a slight dip in their culture, food and things that they do. I would like to speak a bit about the people over there ,their lifestyle and try bringing out stories of their sweet struggles and challenges to the readers. I would be happy if it could inspire any of my readers and help them overcome their personal challenges in their own life. Would also like to talk on subjects of  environment friendly and responsible travelling .As I feel it is the need of the hour and there’s a lot of ignorance in this aspect. Personally I make it a point to engage with local communities as much possible and try to keep my environmental impact low as possible.

5.What are your favorite means of travel?

I like to use a lot of local travel modes. I feel it gives you a chance to be in the shoes of people whom you visit, appreciate their culture ,interact with them. It is the same reason I choose Homestays for most of my stays than traditional hotels. You learn so much about their lifestyle ,their houses, things that they eat or grow, seasonal specialties etc.

6.What are your favourite subjects?

I like stories a lot , I believe they are perfect means to convey the message in an engaging way. Hence I used to find subject that had some stories in them, quite interesting be it History, Indian mythology, stories of evolution etc. Even for my writing I always try to portray a story. I believe we as humans are always curious to know about others & what can be a better way than a story to tell this.

7.Thanks again and please feel free to add anything you would like to share with the readers.

It was a stupendous experience going down the memory lane and penning down my thoughts for your interview. Thanks for that Pooja. I believe you have created a wonderful platform where commoners like me can unfold their stories.

Life is like not always that bed of roses that we imagine sometimes, it constantly throws hardships and challenges on your face. It is only plausible to keep yourself motivated and strive regularly to better ourselves.

Pursuing my blog with a full time work certainly becomes challenging at times. To take out time, to switch between two absolutely unrelated worlds. But I believe if you feel for something from within ,you always tend to make space for it. And that’s where I use these inspirations and motivations that I draw from these mountains and my Journeys that I make from my heart.

  1. good interview and introducing new bloggers

  2. “I love travelling especially to the mountains” Wow, I heard that there are people who love mountains versus people who love seaside. It’s like cat people versus dog people. I don’t know if it is true. I love both but I am no traveler. I guess probably people who love mountains are stronger since climbing takes a lot of energy.

  3. Pooja G, it is nice to get to know more about you! 🥰
