Artcaffe Experience

A lot of you guys have been asking me to talk about my time in Kenya so far and what I’ve been up to so I decided to write a post about a fun time I had with one of my friends a few weeks ago. For those of you who are Kenyan or have been to Nairobi you probably know the Artcaffe at The Oval. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, it’s a fun little cafe where you can go to hang out and have some drinks or enjoy a meal.

My friend Mistryland and I went there like quite a while back and it was an amazing experience. One, it was the first time we got to hang out in like two years (thanks a lot pandemic and med school) and secondly the day was just so beautiful. It was sunny and warm and everything was so beautiful. We obviously decided to sit outside because we wanted to get some sun since neither of us had been in the sun for very long in ages.

We decided to get some iced tea which turned out to be huge so we contemplated just drinking the syrup that came with it on its own and ditching the tea… jk of course! Although we did try to drink the syrup like water at one point if I’m being honest 😂

We pretty much just sat there literally talking for hours and the only sucki-sh part was when we had to leave because we still had so much talking left to do! Luckily we hung out at Zen Garden a while later so it was okay. The tea was amazing, we later got some fries which were also amazing and the best part was just her company if I’m being honest.

It was honestly the perfect day with the perfect person!

I was initially not going to post this pic because I feel like I look a little goofy in it but Mistry was like it’s my favourite pic of you because you look so happy so obviously now I love it and had to post it.

I also wanted to post a pic of her smiling because she has the best smile!

Is smiling my thing now? How concerning. She really is a bad influence on me 😜
