My Life Is A Book By Christina B.

Amazon Summary

This book is a helpful tool to help you make small changes, take baby steps towards the happiness that you deserve. You are the master of your life, you just have to start believing it. Which means that you have the power to change your life at any given moment and you do not have to let life happen to you, you can happen to life! If you read this book it might be that you needed a reminder that you can follow your dreams and stop the guilt that doesn’t let you be your true self. It all starts with loving yourself, accepting yourself and being your true self. This world that we live in does not stop at the material possessions that we see around us, it goes on and on, and it continues indefinitely. All you have to do is allow yourself to dream, to manifest and to live the best life you could have ever thought possible. Do not allow people around you to dictate what is good or bad for you, you know what you need to be happy and fulfilled. Do not get attached to the material world, because no matter how many material things you have, they will never fill that void inside you. So, start living as well! Allow yourself to dream, to be you, to be loved and accepted. There is a place on this Earth for you and me. We can both exist, and we can both live! We can both accept each other, and we can both just be!

My Thoughts/Review:

Before I dive into the nitty gritty review of more specific parts of the book, I just wanted to share some more general information and thoughts about the books. I think it’s a wonderful book which if you haven’t already guessed by the title is about the life of the author and the experiences she has had that have led her to where she is right now.

This book was written by “Christina B.” who is actually from Romania which I found interesting. I always like reading about the lives of those from other countries just to see what their experiences are like and how they may be similar or how they may differ from that of my own.

The book focuses on Christina B”s life experiences and a number of the chapters are about how she was able to overcome adversities and become the person she is now on her spiritual path. I really enjoyed that about the book because I think it’s important to acknowledge the negative but it’s also important to remember to focus on the positives because that’s the best way to deal with things in a healthy but positive way.

One of the things I really enjoyed about this book, other than the writing, was the illustration between chapters. They were very interesting to see and kept the book which was about heavy topics a little more light. It also gives the reader a little break to read and digest the information.

One chapter I enjoyed was “Your Mental Health Is Not An Option.” As you may know if you have been reading this blog for a while, mental health is something I care about a lot and take very seriously. I think it’s important to take care of your mental health and stay on top of it whenever you can.

I also liked the chapter “Dear Sad People” a lot because I think we all have moments in our life when we are sad and to be honest for a lot of people there are times when you feel like you have hit rock bottom. There are always sad moments in life along with the happy ones and your thoughts and attitude towards the sad moments often have a lot to do with how much these moments impact you.

Overall, I very much enjoyed the book. As I mentioned in my last book review, I have very much been enjoying shorter books these days because now that I’m working full-time I don’t have as much time to read as I wish I had and with shorter books I can read a chapter or two a day and still finish it in a few days. That’s how I read this one and it was nice to read while taking a short break from everything.

I also thought the book was well written and can be enjoyed by most people because it’s not overly complicated or difficult to read/understand. Some heavy topics are discussed in the book so if you are sensitive to that you may want to stir clear.

I want to end by saying that the book is for people who like reading about life and books that tend to be like a stream of consciousness rather than a story. Like On The Road by Jack Kerouac which is one of my favourite books so I definitely love that style of writing which may be why I liked this book a lot. I would definitely recommend giving it a read especially if you are someone who believes in positively changing your life longterm.

For US and Canadian readers, you can find the book here.
