I’m not doing great guys… these last two weeks have been tough. First I got a skin thing, then my toes randomly started hurting (yes you read that right) and for the last two days I’ve had the worst acid reflux I’ve ever had in my life. But you know what the weird thing is? I’m handling it weirdly well. Like I’m not feeling depressed at all which is a HUGE milestone for me. I don’t remember if I have told you guys this before but whenever I get physically sick it really effects my mental health. I always have a depressive episode because of it but I’m fine this time even though this is the sickest I’ve been in ages. Just wanted to share that with you guys because I always like sharing little updates on what’s going on with me. Also for SEO reasons because short posts are not SEO friendly.  So I’m just going to try and share something with my quotes posts that some of you guys may be interested in. And before anyone asks I haven’t had anything spicy or sour/tangy in ages so no idea what’s causing the acid reflux. My guess is that it’s because I’m developing an allergy to cabbage. More on that later (maybe).

Sorry for any typos I’m writing this on my phone in the middle of the night and my autocorrect goes crazy sometimes.

  1. Wow Pooja, I hope that you feel much better very soon. There must be something bothering your tummy, hopefully not food that was too old and had bacteria on it. Is your spine out of alignment a bit, perhaps that is why your toes hurt, just a guess. Get well!

    1. Thanks, I’m getting better slowly! Yeah that might have been the issue with the food. I think the toe problem was because of the shoes I had worn.

  13. I am hoping you will be better soon and discover what is causing your symptoms. I too have been having pain that seems to be moving around my body. It hasn’t shown up in my toes yet but it is a mystery.

  18. Take care of yourself. I hope you feel better soon. My daughter who is your age starting developing all sorts of food allergies in college. Apples, carrots, stone fruit. Things she used to love.

    1. Thank you so much. Wow, that is really sad but I guess a lot of people get allergies later in life. It’s tough to cut out foods you enjoy.

  22. It’s impossible to not allow the physical stuff to effect the mental stuff in one way or another. I have several health issues and that’s just life unfortunately. I think the fact that you’re rising above this time says a lot about your strength and resilience but if things take a turn… don’t beat yourself up for it. I hope you feel better really soon!!

  24. Pooja, I hope you feel better soon. I’ve been having severe digestive issues these past few months, and I find that digestive enzymes help with each meal so I’m not in pain. My body usually throws depression into the mix when I get run-down or sick, so that’s a signal to me to take good care of myself! Wishing you all the best!

        1. Yeah absolutely! We can bet on those feelings coming back but we can be prepared and equipped to deal with them. That’s really what makes all the difference.

          1. Yes ma’am! Preparing ourselves instead of running away or hoping it won’t happen again! Facing the reality is very empowering!

            1. I couldn’t agree more. We can keep running but the bad stuff will always catch up with us. It’s always better to learn how to handle them instead!

  29. Sorry you feel sick! But I totally understand the feeling of physical health affecting your mental heal. That’s awesome that its not affecting you this time though! Hope you feel better, also do you have a post on your acid reflux? I think I may have it but I want to know more personal opinions on living with it.

      No, unfortunately. I don’t have any more posts on acid reflux because I very rarely experience it. I hope you’re able to find some informative posts on it though.

  31. I hope you feel better soon. Be pumped of escaping a depressive. Last year I was 100% overwhelmed with my kids schedule. Shit is about to hit the fan scheduling wise, and it’s fine. It will be okay. I hope you feel better soon.

  33. Sorry to hear of your struggles, Pooja! May I ask if you ever suffered with a case of Covid? Another friend of mine mentioned having issues with her toes afterward.

    1. No, thankfully I’ve avoided Covid so far so I don’t think that was the reason. I feel like it may have been caused by the shoes I was wearing.
