I want to thank Marsha Ingrao from Always Write for sharing my short story, The Bookstore, on her blog. She has a segment called Story Chat Digest which she told me about when we first connected. It was right after she had read and shared an amazing review of my book. I was really grateful and excited to share this short story.
As you can tell, the story is about a bookstore and how one bookstore changed the life of someone who visited it when she needed it most. The story was inspired by something I went through as a young adult.
When I was in university, I ended up getting burnt out. Turns out getting a degree is actually really hard lol… but jokes aside, I was too burnt out to do any of the things I used to enjoy and that included reading and writing.
However, as I worked on myself and my mental health, I got back into reading. And that’s what inspired me to write again which has been such a rewarding journey.
Thank you once more to Marsha Ingrao for sharing The Bookstore. The comments on this post are switched off but I’d love for you to join me on her blog by using the link to the post above.
