“How To Be You” is a poem that first appeared on Lifesfinewhine. The older I get, the more I crave wanting to be my authentic self. As a teenager I think we are all pressured to be a certain way. Anything out of the norm is ridiculed. However, the older I get the more I realise that my real self is what makes me happy. I like how I am and who I am. “How To Be You” is inspired by this growing urge within me to unapologetically be myself. You’ve managed to learn this lesson at a much younger age than I did and you will be a lot more happier the I have been until I learned that lesson.

Whole industries exist to tell people what to think. Advertising, what to buy, PR what to think and believe; too many of us have our minds taken over by these.
That is so true. There’s a large part of the media telling us what to look like and act like and unfortunately too many people fall for it but it’s important to know yourself and what’s truly right and wrong.
