Insomnia- A Poem

Lying in bed

Exhausted and sleepy

I look out of the window

And daydream

Eyes not staying shut

Breathing uneven

Nerves not calming down

Insomnia has taken over

I hope you enjoyed this poem. As you guys may or may not know depending on how long you have been following this blog, I suffer from mild insomnia. It is not something that effects me daily or even extremely often. But it does effect me occasionally and that can be annoying. Or inconvenient when I have a long day the next day. I think my anxiety and depression are part of what causes it or worsens it. I have noticed that my insomnia strikes or gets worse when I am stressed out about something. Anyway, I was experiencing some insomnia the night before and was inspired to write this poem.

Do you suffer from insomnia? How do you deal with it? Let me know in the comments below or simply stop by and say hi.

    1. Mine often do! I think when we visualise something we’re more likely towards it so I guess day dreaming is an awesome way to achieve your goals!
