Technical Difficulties

So as you guys know I recently updated my site to the Premium Plan and I liked it so much I decided to upgrade further to the Business Plan and this is the point where everything went to hell.

I hated the Business Plan and it clearly did not work well for me in any way whatsoever and I was so uncomfortable using it so I decided to change back to Premium. I talked to someone from support and they assured me that I wouldn’t loose my posts and it wouldn’t mess with the posts I had published during the time I was on the Business Plan.

As you can guess that did not go as planned in any way whatsoever. I don’t know if maybe they didn’t back it up properly or that I just have horrible luck but all my posts that were published got duplicated and one post has all the likes and the other has all the comments.

Not only does this make it look like my site has no activity to anyone viewing recent posts it also meant something much worse.

I lost some of my likes and comments. I don’t care that much about the likes but I truly cherish your comments and I recently hit 11k and you guys had left the nicest comments on that post some of which disappeared. I seriously felt so horrible about this that I was in tears and the worst part is that the support team is taking forever to fix it. It’s been almost three days and nothing has changed and recently they told me it’s “going to take a while”. Like I get that it’s a complicated issue but it’s just stressing me out and giving me anxiety I wish they could deal with it faster.

Anyway thanks for your likes and comments and if you’re wondering what the hell is going on with my site and why the recent posts seem weird and appear twice this is why.

Also if I haven’t replied to your comment sorry but I can’t see some of the comments so please recomment/relike if possible.

I really hope they fix this soon but doesn’t seem like they will.

UPDATE: They said they can’t fix the issue so yeah my blog is just going to have duplicate posts I guess because I don’t want to get rid of the comments or the likes.

    1. Well it didn’t work for me personally. The problems I had with it was that it kind of slowed down my blog, the plugins weren’t worth it for me and the main thing was that it removed the follow button usually at the right hand corner of the page which I think is very important to increase followers. It just did not work for me.

Well I like the Premium Plan a lot but I found that for the Business Plan it’s just not worth the price because it was giving me functions I didn’t need plus it removed the follow button from the bottom right of the blog which for me is an important button to increase followers especially email followers.

  1. I wrote my posts on Word or Pages before publishing them which is good backup. WordPress has been a bit glitchy for me lately and maybe it will sort itself out. I’m so sorry, but your readers are still here 🙃

    1. Thanks but they said they couldn’t fix it but oh well like you said I still have my readers! I use word too because I don’t trust WordPress!

  2. I was looking at your page last night and noticed 1 article was there twice. I wondered what happened. Thank you for posting this, it is certainly a warning to myself and others about what can happen. I have the premium plan, but I was wondering about the business plan- I guess I have my answer for now. Best wishes 🙂

    1. Thanks but unfortunately they said they can’t fix it. I would recommend the Premium Plan if you want to upgrade I love that one but I hated the Business one.

  3. Have you used the stand-alone wordpress software before? I have it on a domain I run which I haven’t done much with but you might like that instead of using the premium or business plans.

  4. I know it seems like it’s all going wrong, things will go right eventually. I too have when someone tells you it will take a little while and you want actual time frame. Not some ambiguous time.Good luck going a little crazy or getting anxious doesn’t help but it is understandable. Also what are you change to business?

    1. Thanks you. They said they couldn’t fix it but I;m more calm about it now and I’m just going to let it go. I changed to Business a few days back but hated it so I changed back to Premium which is more affordable and offers most of the same stuff.

    I am curious though, what you didn’t like about the Business Plan? I was considering upgrading to it in a few months so I could set up e-commerce, but after reading this post I’m definitely having second thoughts!

  6. This is why I am worried about upgrading. I don’t want to lose anything I have already worked hard on. There is so many things about WordPress I don’t understand because I use the app and not the website anymore. If I ever check my website, I don’t like it but I don’t know how to fix it at the same time

    1. Yeah it’s hard to understand if you’re not great with technology plus it has so many bugs and problems. I’ve really enjoyed the Premium Plan though so if you ever do decide to upgrade I would recommend that one.

  8. that sounds terrible, I’m sorry that happened. I have the business plan, but it has some quirks that I do not like. I may need to look into the Premium plan as well. And congrats once again on the 11,000 followers!

    1. Thank you so much and yes those quirks really annoyed me especially how the follow button disappears. I think the Premium Plan is definitely worth looking into!

      1. I lost my follow button, but the WordPress support team created a custom one for me that seems to work ok. I will check out the Premium Plan – thanks for the advice!
