Our heads hung low. Guilt was etched on our faces. We’d been caught red-handed! We watched helplessly as our loot was confiscated.
Afterwards, grandpa and I exchanged smirks. Mom didn’t know about our secret stash of chocolates. It was safe and remained unconfiscated!
