Quote Of The Day

Alan Watts Quote:

Alan Watts Quote

My thoughts on the Alan Watts quote:

Today, I wanted to share this Alan Watts quote with you guys because change is something I struggle with a lot. As someone with an anxiety disorder, change can be really difficult for me and it does take me a while to adjust or to create a new routine or habit. I think that’s human nature too, we’re creatures of habit and most of us don’t enjoy too much of a change to our usual routine.

However, as I grow up and also continue to grow as a human being I can’t help but notice the importance of change. Yes, change is scary and opens us up to something negative potentially happening due to the change. But change is also a good thing. It’s a constant in life because it’s necessary. It’s necessary for our survival as humans but also as individuals. Life would be incredibly boring and mundane if things didn’t change at all.

What are your thoughts on this Alan Watts quote? What are you listening to this week? How was the last week for you? Any plans for this week? What positive thought did you start your day out with today? Do you believe you are someone that has broken away from the norms and is unapologetically yourself? Let me know in the comments section located below because I would absolutely love to hear from you. Or simply stop by and say hi!

  1. I love this! Great quote and so true.

    1. Thanks so much!

  2. Change is pretty much the only thing that remains constant in life. Anyone who wants things to stay the way they are is going to setting themselves up for disappointment.

    1. Yup that’s exactly right.

  3. I’ll plunge into it, but I’m not going to dance with it 🙂

    1. You must- what’s the point of it all if you don’t dance with it??😂

      1. if people saw me dancing, it would ruin their day… 🙂

        1. Same here I couldn’t dance to save my life 😂😂

  4. Also to make ‘sense to change’. A powerful statement, might lead to a dance finally!! and then again it might be time to change..

  5. I’m one of those people with an almost superhuman resistance to change. That’s not to say that I don’t adapt eventually but.. it’s a struggle uphill-both ways.
    I’m working on it.
Anyway, fun topic, Pooja! Thank you for always keeping things interesting!

    1. I’m that way too but I’m trying really hard to change that as well and be better with change. I’ve been changing small things every day as practice and have been so incredibly uncomfortable for the last few days lol. Thank you so much!

      1. Best of luck! It’s a difficult habit to break.. but one that is best broken. I hope it becomes less uncomfortable for you soon, you’ve got this, just hand in there and you’ll be sure to surpass whatever goal you set for yourself. 💗

        1. I’m already getting better at it- I actually volunteered to change something lol! Thanks and best of luck to you too. Hopefully we can change our ways 😂

          1. The first step is always the hardest so, bravo, we’re at least heading in the right direction!
We can do it, after all, “Sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” 🤭

        1. Best of luck!🌹

  7. Ne’er a truer word! I always tell people – you have the choice of two C’s when it comes to change; complain about it, or get curious about it. It’s fine to have five minutes, but complaining doesn’t solve anything and doesn’t make people want to help you. It’s when you get curious that you find your answers 😉

    1. Yup so true- I like complain a lot but eventually a little while later I get over it and move on with my life lol!

      1. Haha! Usually I swear like a trooper and then I’m like “aight, well I’m not letting them hold me down” lol.

  9. “The best thing one can do when it is raining, is to let it rain”~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow-

    1. Yup absolutely agree with that quote!

  10. The power of healing is adapting to changes.♥️♥️♥️

    1. Yes absolutely!!

  11. dancing with you.. I agree with this .. two step or jazz?

    1. Always Jazz!

      1. Love jazz❣️❣️

    1. I’ll check it out!

  12. Love the quote! It’s a great way to handle change which is inevitable 🙂👍

    1. Thanks- so glad you enjoyed it!

  13. The problem with me is that I always want to think and reason before adapting. It makes the adapting process painfully slow. Sometimes one has to have faith and leap with eyes closed. Those who adapt quickly are usually this kind of people. Sadly I am not. For example, I know social media for a long time and one of my friends have been an ardent social media addict for years, but I only laugh at her until early last year when I started to jump in. LOL. So I am a slow adapter.

    1. Lol I’m the same way. I tend to overthink everything and by the time I finally decide to do something the hype has died down. I’m trying to think less these days though lol.

  14. Change is going to happen. You may as well enjoy it.. reat quote
