One Sentence Story #7

One Sentence Story

One Sentence Story:

Equally terrified of both the known and the unknown.

It is sad that so many humans let fear hold them back. Fear of the known. Fear of the unknown. And most often, fear of what they don’t understand or what we don’t personally experience. It seems so many don’t care until it affects them personally. I am saddened to see how incredibly selfish humanity is. That was what inspired this one sentence story. Not saying there aren’t good people out there. It just sometimes seems as though the bad are far more than the good. Sorry for the depressing take on life but after years of studying history I have become a bit of a pessimist when it comes to humanity.

I want to thank everyone who left a question for me on my last post. It’s so appreciated and I will try my best to answer everyones questions. Thanks again!

I had a fun time with my cousins and sister today and am going out again tomorrow. Between balancing work and life I may not have as much time for the blog. So don’t take it personally if I’m a little MIA for the next few days. I’m sure you guys understand that real life and work comes first at the moment. And I have a lot of clients at the moment and I never want the quality of my work for them to suffer. So sometimes I have to take a step back from this blog. But of course, my Lifesfinewhiners are still my everything so I’ll be back to normal soon!

    1. Yeah I think most of us do that.

  3. Yes, feeling being left out of something has been the driving force behind a lot of unnecessary actions…I don’t know. I am often fearful that my decisions are not good, or not good enough.

    1. I’m that way too. Sometimes I overthink my decisions so much.

    2. I feel you. I have to think about my actions for a while and try to calm down to think but I’m not perfect.😩

  4. I am so glad I gave up on FOMO. I can only do so much and I don’t care to do half of what I do already.

  7. Unfortunately, we can’t rid ourselves of this fear. Blessed are those few who are free from unknown fears. Anyway this is what life is all about.

    1. Yes, very true. Most people have some fears or the other.
Work and family time is definitely hard to balance. I think it’s easier for me as a freelancer but when you have a boss etc it gets more complicated.

  8. Fear is a good thing when it’s not taken out of proportion. It keeps us safe for the most part. You don’t have to be a history buff to know that if the war started mobilization will follow. So it’s time to flee, fear facilitates self-preservation. Humanity… I don’t have much to say here, but I will hope for the better.

    1. Yes, that’s true. Fear is a needed feeling but it can get out of hand very easily so it’s something we have to keep in check.

        1. That’s the sad part. People often don’t realise they’re being manipulated into being outraged.

  9. Fear of the unknown is something I think we all may think about sometimes. Fear is all around us due to what’s going on in the world. We are going to have to think positive.
