Seven Doctors And A Cracked Phone Screen

Seven Doctors And A Cracked Phone Screen

September was a particularly difficult and hectic month for me. Somehow, I ended up going to seven doctors and with a cracked phone screen. And yes, it was a tough month but in other ways it’s been a productive month too. The thing with me is, I’m not a fan of doctors. And I think that’s the way it is for most people (sorry DentMistry!). So when something goes wrong with my body I try my best to avoid them. And I’ve been avoiding certain things for like years now. Which is why I decided it was time to get my life together and figure everything out so I can be at my healthiest.

My pelvic scan came back normal by the way. Most things are coming back normal, thankfully. But there’s a couple of things I need to work on that I’ll be doing from now on. Nothing serious though, so no need to worry.

Anyway, as I said. Seven doctors and a cracked phone screen was a lot to deal with but at the end I came out stronger. And even though it was tough being in and out of doctors offices for days it was super productive because now I have a clearer picture of what’s going on with me. Literally, thanks to the ultrasounds lol.

The Good

Now onto the good news, this month I also had the pleasure of helping to edit Jude Itakali’s latest poetry book, Dark Butterflies. It’s ready to be preordered and I would love it if you guys did so and read the book. It’s such a fantastic book that revolves around mental health and the experiences people have with mental health illnesses. I think Jude is a fantastic writer, he truly is very gifted and has a way with words. I’ve read every book he’s written so far and plan to reread this one when the finished version comes out. I’m sure you guys will love it as much as I did. So if you haven’t already, do preorder it.

And just like that, another month ends and a new one begins. What was your September like? What are your plans for October? Let me know in the comments below because I would love to hear from you! Or simply

  1. The title is very exciting! Pooja, but you should take care of yourself too. I know it is very frustrating for you to go to the doctor constantly. But it is also essential for your health. Take care😊🥰💟🙏🧿🧿

    1. Thanks so much, yes it’s annoying but for the best. At least I now know what’s wrong with me and can solve it! 😊

      1. Yes, I hope you get well soon. All negativity goes away from you. God bless you, Pooja! May you achieve everything you want to accomplish in your life.😊🥰💟🧿🧿🧿🧿🙏

        1. Thanks so much, really appreciate that! 😊

          1. Always welcome your warm and sweet words, Pooja!😊🥰

  2. I loved Jude’s new book too. And I agree that he is a fantastic writer.
Take care of yourself my dear friend.

    1. Thanks so much and yes he definitely is.

      1. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

  3. It’s good to know things medically are well, my friend. I want to forget the month, but everything it brought carries on. Please be safe and well.

    1. Thanks so much. I hope things get better on your end as well. Be safe and well too.

  4. That does sound hectic. Going to the doctors can be harsh and busy anyway , but 7 . Glad you’re doing alright

    1. It was so much but I’m just happy to know what’s wrong and have a fix for it.

  5. I’m glad your test results have tended toward being fine. I hope whatever challenges remain will work out well. Happy October! I have a few hours left of September. It went all right for me. Lots of medical consultations, but I’m trying a new medication (new to me, new to everyone) that seems to have some promise. Enjoy the first full month of fall!

    1. Thanks so much. Wow, that’s exciting. I really hope the new medication helps. Happy October!

  6. Doctors aren’t so bad, I promise. Well, err, there are a few bad apples so I understand. Anyway, I’m glad you’re doing fine. Cheers to the last and hopefully best quarter of the year. 🙂 I look forward to Christmas. I’m using the last quarter to complete some home renovations and just relax and enjoy life

    1. Yeah, actually I was pleasantly surprised because most of the doctors I went to were really nice. Christmas is always fun. Have a great last quarter of the year and hope everything goes well with the renovations.

  7. Glad all is well on your end. Besides, Doctors only practice medicine, they haven’t perfected anything yet. JK. Ever think of eating apples? 😉 “An apple a day helps keeps the doctor away”. An old phrase came to mind.

    1. If only I didn’t hate apples and have a best friend who happens to be a doctor 😅

  8. Yes, a lot of don’t like going to the doctor. I think many are trying to catch up on things now post Covid.

    1. Absolutely, doctors are no fun but we have to for our health. True, most of us are just trying to get back to normal and make up for lost time post covid.

      1. It’s still hard to get appointments for tests in NY or specialists.

        1. I’m sorry to hear that. That makes the ordeal even worse. Luckily, it’s quite easy here and for most tests you can just do them from home.

  9. Good thing!!

    Take care

    1. Thanks so much!

  10. Pooja, it sounds like things are turning around for you, and that’s great! Still things to tackle, but lots of progress. And me? Well, my September has been very busy… I guess wringing out the last bits of summer, starting up fall things, busy with family, friends and volunteer gigs, so busy I’ve occasionally neglected my blog and not kept up with my wonderful blogger friends (I’ve spent all evening catching up!). Heading into October (literally in an hour) I’m feeling good and optimistic, feeling like I’ve really made the most of and been present in many good summer time memory-making times, and making a point of enjoying autumn in the same way.

    1. Thanks so much! I’m glad you had a busy and very fun filled September. Hopefully, you’ll have an amazing autumn too and make many more memories.

      1. You’re welcome! Here’s hoping!

  11. Wow, what a long month for you! Going to see 7 doctors is exhausting. So glad that ordeal is over. Onto November and wishing you a healthy, happy, and productive one!

    1. It really was exhausting but quite productive. Have a wonderful October too!

      1. Take care and happy October!

  12. glad your results are clear… and it’s great that you stopped putting it off as we say and do.

a better month your way, Pooja 🤍🤗

    1. Thanks so much and yes I’m happy to finally deal with everything. I’m recovering and it’s nice. Thanks and have a great October too 🤗

  13. Good to know that you’ve come through the stress of doctor visits unscathed. I hope you continue to stay in control of your health goals..the book sound interesting. I’ll take a look see.
October, my plans are more releases for my blog and submissions to publishers. Seriously considering quitting the day job. But we shall see.
    Happy Sunday Pooja G 💙🙏

    1. Thank you so much. Yes, do check out the book when it’s out. It’s really great,
October sounds busy for you and I wish you luck no matter what you decide. Happy Sunday 😊

  14. Seven doctors and a cracked phone
Enough to make a saint weep and moan
I’ve consulted the twisted man and mystic crone
Told me to leave it well alone
An icy wind’ll cut you to the bone
With seven doctors and a cracked phone!

    1. Haha love that!

  15. September sounds like it was a challenging month for you with multiple doctor visits and a cracked phone screen. It can be tough to deal with health issues, but it’s great that most things are coming back normal for you. Taking care of your health is important, and it’s good that you’re working on it.

    1. Yes, definitely challenging but also productive.

  16. The title of this post sounds like one of those Murder Mysteries by Agatha Christie 🙂

    1. Haha thanks, I love Agatha Christie 😀

  18. Glad you’re on the path to wellness! I had a thought for WP. Why is it that I can’t like some posts while I can others?

    1. Thanks so much! That’s so odd, that sounds more like a glitch then theme related though. Have you reached out to them?

  19. You are on the right path to wellness, Pooja, and I am glad most of the results are in your favor. At least now you can have peace of mind and not worry so much about your well being. Our phones are in a case to prevent cracking the screen in case they are dropped. The case has saved us a couple of times since we have our clumsy moments. Take care and stay well.

    1. Thanks so much, yeah at least now I know what the problem is and how to move forward. Have a great October.

      1. You’re most welcome, Pooja!

  20. […] Seven Doctors And A Cracked Phone Screen […]

  21. I also try my best not to go to the doctor because I fear blood and other tests.

    1. Yes, it can be quite stressful to get so many tests done.

  22. Hi Pooja, September is a tough one but hopefully it gets better as we near New Year’s. Looking back I see lots of good days and looking forward I anticipate even more good days, October is full of planned and unplanned fun for us. Getting things done is in my plans, I have a list of projects to accomplish. I am looking forward to hear from you about WP meeting and follow up.

    1. Yes, I hope so. I’m hoping for a fun October and rest of the year. Hope you have a wonderful last quarter and lots of success with your projects. Will definitely share how the meeting goes.

      1. Great, last quarter is very important I feel like. Wrapping up the year best way possible is the plan

        1. Absolutely, I always think the first and last quarter are where I put in the most effort.

  23. relatable, i too would try to take care of a problem, before running to the doctors, but sometimes you gotta do what is necessary. But good news is that your on the path to wellness.

    1. Absolutely. I think many of us try to avoid doctors but sometimes they’re necessary. Thanks so much.

  24. Glad you made it through a tough time, Pooja!

    1. Thanks, I am too!

  25. I’m glad your results are good, Pooja, and Jude’s book sounds great! It’s wonderful that you did the editing. Congrats to Jude, and Happy October! I hope this month is better for you in every way. I love this season, so I’m fine with bidding summer farewell. Take good care! 🧡🧡

    1. Thanks so much. Happy October, have a great one. I love Autumn the most too so I totally understand 🧡

  26. The title is everything… I was so intrigued of wondering what you meant by 7 doctors and a cracked phone screen. I can understand not wanting to go to the doctor’s office, I feel that way to. So if somethings wrong, if I ignore it then maybe it will go away😂 I’m glad you did go and get checked. And CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 on working as an editor for Dark Butterflies. I wish you more wins this October. ✨

    1. Haha thanks so much. Lol, I’m the same I had hoped it would go away but haven’t been so lucky and need to take some meds now 😅
      Thanks and happy October!

  27. I do hate doctors too but when it is mandatory damn I have to face it… Hope that this month will be 100% better than the previous.

    1. Yes, unfortunately sometimes we just have to see them. Thanks so much.

      1. Unfortunately 😕..
        You are welcome 🤗

  28. 7 doctors is a lot but at least you were able to put off procrastinating and see the doctors finally. You were brave and it took courage to do that!! 👏

I’m like you where I avoid the doctors. I’m supposed to go to the eye doctor and see a family doctor for extensive paperwork and I’ve been avoiding both….

    1. Thanks so much. Yeah, it was tough but I’m just glad I finally did what was necessary and found out what the issue was. It’s just human nature to avoid doctors lol.

      1. Btw, did you manage to get your phone screen fixed? What kind of phone do you have?

        1. Yes, thankfully my cousin works with tech and replaced my screen really fast. I have a Samsung A50. It’s kind of an old phone but luckily the screen replacement was available.

  29. Glad your tests are coming back normal, congrats on editing the book.

    1. Thanks so much 😊

  30. Glad things are coming back OK. Congratulations on the edit.

    1. Thanks so much. I’m just happy to have figured out the issue.

  31. I’m so relieved and happy your tests came back Pooja but I know all about not being a fan of docs!!!
Oh, I’m so excited about Jude’s book. Can’t wait to read it.. in my TBR pile… you know… Congrats Jude! Did you list it here? I”m not seeing it.. Thanks ❣️

    1. Thanks so much! The book isn’t out yet so I haven’t listed it yet but I’ve linked the page to preorder it. However, I’ll still make a post when it’s out 😊

      1. Awesome I’ll stay tuned! 💕❤️💕

  32. So glad your rest are coming back good!!! Take care of you!!!!

    1. Thanks so much!

  33. I’m so happy that you have come out stronger after your ordeal this past month. Sometimes life can really through a curve ball at us. Do what you need to to become the person you want to be Pooja. You are a bright and beautiful young woman with a strong drive. I believe that you will conquer anything that comes your way. Also congrats on your friends new book, it sounds like a must read.

    1. Thanks so much. In the end, I’m just happy to be making progress.
It’s absolutely a must read, I hope you read it.

  34. Congrats for getting over your fear and dislike of doctors! So many things can be avoided thanks to early detection so it is a huge step – even though it was maybe not very pleasant! That reminds me I have plenty of appointments to make… Hope October treats you well!

    1. Thanks so much! I agree, it’s so much easier to deal with stuff if you catch it earlier. Hope everything goes well for you and happy October!

  35. My September was marked by both a brief spike in sales of “Reunion: A Story” (No…I’m not at the same level of royalty earnings as Stephen King yet!) and frustration with the novel. One scene in the latest chapter took me longer to write than I foresaw. I did get ONE damn good review of “Reunion” in WordPress, though, so….

    1. Yay for the spike and the good review. Lol you’ll be at Stephen King level in no time.

      1. It’s going to take a good while before I am even one-tenth as successful as Stephen King. Maybe if more readers told their friends what they thought of “Reunion,” I’ll get to that one-tenth place.

In the meantime, here’s that one good review:

        https://thoughtsfromthemountaintop.com/2023/09/08/book-review-reunion-a-story-by-alex-diaz-granados/

        1. Will definitely check out the review.

  36. Enjoyed reading your diary as per usual 😁

    1. Thanks so much 😀
