Blogger Interview With Mark Jabbour

Blogger Interview With Rita

Today, I wanted to share my Blogger Interview with Mark Jabbour. I know him through blogging and we have been visiting one another’s site for quite a while now. He has been very supportive of Lifesfinewhine and my upcoming book, All The Words I Kept Inside, which I really appreciate.

We conducted this interview quite a while back but we decided this may be a good time to share it. We talk about writing, blogging, politics and much more. I hope you enjoy the interview and do feel free to share your thoughts here, on Spotify and on YouTube.

Also, just a little disclaimer. I have had a lot of people asking to be interviewed but unfortunately I am going to be taking July off from interviews and focusing on my health and enjoying the release of my first book. However, starting August, I will be conducting interviews again. I will share a post in August when the interviews start up again and anyone interested in being interviewed is of course welcome to throw their name in the hat. And I don’t mean metaphorically, I plan to wear a giant hat like Pharrell from now on. Lol just kidding, but not really.

  1. wonderful interview Pooja! I hope you have a wonderful July and good luck with your new book!

    1. Thank you so much, have a wonderful July too!

  2. I remember you mentioning this book when i used to be active over here, and finally, it’s happening… congratulations!!!

Seems like I’ve missed a lot!

    1. So nice to see your comment after so long and thank you so much!

  3. It was an interesting interview. I liked the tip on writing to stop while you know what comes next so you can pick up easier when you return to continue where you left off.

    1. Thanks so much and yeah that’s a great tip.

  4. Enjoyed that Pooj. Is Mark related to my great friend Jack Jabbour?

    1. Thank you, lol perhaps so!

    2. Yes, Jack’s my brother.

      1. There is a great family resemblance!! Do you know how Jack is doing??

        1. Hi Opher, Jack passed away 2 months ago, after a 3 yr. battle with Long Covid. I’ve posted about it on my blog: ‘Jack’s Service’ & ‘Jack’s Eulogy’. Don’t feel bad. It’s okay. He was also a blogger here on WordPress and wrote about his life and COVID: ‘LONG HAUL COVID TRAIN’. He also frequently commented on my blog. Check it out if you’ve time. Take care.

  5. I enjoyed the podcast, especially Mark decision-making to pursue writing, selling his properties and starting ground zero!

It’s good to take sometime out when keeping healthy comes into play. Goodluck

    1. Thank you so much. Yeah, that was very inspiring.

  6. I say you should go with the hat! Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. Lol, I will definitely go with the hat in August! Thanks and have a wonderful weekend too. It must be so nice and sunny in Canada right now.

      1. You’re welcome and thank you! Yes it is sunny after a lot of rain the past few months. Everything is so green.

        1. That’s so nice, enjoy it!

          1. Thank you, we are!

  7. Our president is senile. We don’t know who is actually running the government. He’s good at reading a teleprompter sometimes. Our intelligence services staged a coup d’état twice. Once they failed in 2016, but succeeded in 2020. All of our news media except for Fox lie. The Hunter Biden laptop is real. Through 20 shell corporations bribes were taken from China, Russia , Ukraine and more by Hunter who passed it along to his father or paid for his expenses etc. Presently, there is no democracy in the US. The Democrats cheat as much as they can. But I suppose that the dead are entitled to vote. In some districts they hold a séance to determine who the dead person would have wanted to vote for. Everybody must vote democrat the academic elites say. And they truck in blank ballots to polling places for democrat election workers to fill out at 2 a.m. after the poll watchers have been expelled.

    1. And Trump is a rapist, a conman, a serial liar, a convicted felon, tax evader, narcissistic megalomaniac and fascist hypocrite.

      1. That was never even a charge. His employees made an accounting entry marked “legal expenses” for money that was reputed to be for a Porn Star who was extorting money for his silence. At worst, he had consensual sex. Incidentally, these are supposed to be State charges only — a local prosecutor can not charge a Federal crime. The Supreme Court will invalidate this democrat abuse and banana republic tactics.

  8. Wow, your first book? What did I miss? I was absent from WP for six months. LOL.

    1. You were definitely missed but happy to see you back. Yes, I’m releasing my first book and the Paperback is out now but Kindle will be released on July 9th.

      1. Congratulations!!! I am imagining what’s in the book right now…

        1. It’s a poetry book with 100 poems, I hope you enjoy them all.

  9. This is actually my first blogger interview I’ve been able to watch and love it! Great job!

    1. So glad to hear that, thank you!

  10. You are doing a good job ✅🙏😊

    1. Thanks so much 😊💕

    1. It really is!

  13. Great interview Pooja. I want take part in it and thrown my hat in the ring. August, I want to have a professional setup with you the Interviewer🙏✔

    Till then take care

    1. Thank you so much and hope you can apply in August, would love to have you on the podcast 😊

  14. I listened on my walk this morning. Just as it was getting juicy it had to end..I do hope he returns at some point.
I’m glad you’re gonna focus on your health. It’s been my mindset the last few weeks, just trying to find a balance and refocus my energy on my health and wellness.. feels like I’m starting all over again. But baby steps. Thanks for sharing the podcast, PoojaG

    1. I hope he can come back for another interview too. It was quite an interesting one.

Thanks so much, I think sometimes it’s necessary for us to focus on ourselves and our health. Hope you get the book soon, I’m excited to hear your thoughts on it.

      1. Ill sort you out proper… Looking forward to it. 🙏

        1. 😊🙏

  15. Thanks again, Pooja. It was great fun for me – ‘banging on the drum’ 🙂 I’d love to do it again. We were just getting started. Cheers.

    1. Absolutely, I hope we can chat again soon 🙂

    2. Great to read about your interview!

  16. Interesting interview, Pooja and impressive how Mark has written novels and owned a bookstore and started teaching.

I was impressed with how well you navigated this when it took a turn to politics which I know is not your jam to talk about generally. You handled it well!

That part threw me for a loop a little when he shifted stances from Barak to Trump as the character of the two have such a huge discrepancy and most of the time around it’s been the complete opposite where they voted for Trump the first time and bailed ship the last time.

I don’t either but I will just say it was a sad night the other night with the debates. Let’s say on fact check Trump had 30 lies, Biden had 9.

    1. Thanks so much. I very much agree with you, I think Trump has been caught lying on so many occasions it’s difficult to even keep count. All politicians lie from time to time but I think some do it so excessively.

      1. I so agree! It’s a trait I honor the sleaze in a human Beings. that being said, I think it would be very difficult to be 100% and not fabricate some thing even out of your awareness when you’re pressured in the moment and things are going fast. All I know is I will take human decency over ego of self any day of the week. 🩷

  17. Really enjoying this interview series your doing Pooja thanks again! and enjoy your July break!

  19. ♥️💚🧡💛❤️💯

    Blessings 🌈🏵️🇪🇸

    1. Thanks so much 💕

  20. I loved to hear about the writing process and not so much about the politics in the States. Politics is dirty business, people always take sides to piss others off. I remember those elections in Colorado in 2020, a lot of hostility and confrontation. We even took part in a video interview supporting Biden. It was a big thing happening at the time.

    1. Yeah, politics can become exhausting over time because people are so divided.

      1. Unfortunately it’s a never ending song here for the older generation

        1. That’s sad, politics is important but shouldn’t consume your life.

          1. This is what i believe as well

  21. Oh interesting!!!

    Best wishes ❤️

    1. Thank you so much! ☺️

  22. Interesting one !!

    1. Thank you!
