Quote Of The Day

Viola Davis Quote:

Viola Davis Quote

What’s Up With Me?

So much to say this week. Well, first of all our fellow blogger Alex Diaz-Granados published Reunion: Coda which is the second book of the Reunion Duology. I reviewed the first one some time ago and very much enjoyed it. You can read the full review here. And now I’m excited to read this one. For anyone interested in checking out the book or books, you can do so here.

In other news, someone tried to steal my content again. This happens to me every once in a while and every single time it’s freaking annoying. First of all, what makes you think you can just copy and paste someone else’s post word for word. And second of all, don’t follow my blog if you’re going to steal my content. That’s so weird to do because obviously I’m going to know if you steal my content and then start following me. And lastly, why even create a blog if you’re going to steal content? What is the point of that? Anyway, thankfully the post seems to have been taken down after I contacted them privately and asked them to do so.

  1. It’s a lovely quote. And very much appreciated today.

I’m not listening to anything at all. I feel a migraine coming on and that’s the first sign. Noise of any kind sets my nerves on fire. Usually if I can isolate a bit, I can ward it off. 🤞🏼

    1. Glad you enjoyed the quote. Oh no, sorry to hear about that. Have you tried icing your face with a face-roller or an ice cube? I used to get migraines a lot but after I started doing that they went away almost completely.

      1. I will give that a try. Thanks for the tip.

        1. You’re very welcome, hope it helps.

  2. Good luck with the post, dear.

    1. Thank you so much, my friend.

Super annoying! I don’t understand it either, but I’m glad they took it down quickly and you’re taking it in stride. 🙂

    1. It’s so odd to me, blogging isn’t blogging if you’re not creating content. Yeah, I’m glad it was taken down and I didn’t have to deal with it any further. 🙂

  4. Never stop chasing your dream as it can often come near to you. Well said

    1. Yes, very true.

  5. Our content is exposed to the world, literally. I don’t know how we can protect it. love to you, Pooja.

    1. Yes, unfortunately that is the problem with sharing our content. These things happen once in a while. Thankfully, this was taken down. Love to you as well, hope you’re doing well.

  6. First, thank you, Pooj, for mentioning my book. I’m quite excited about releasing it into the “wild,” as it were (even though publishing the print edition has been….difficult). I hope you will like it even more than “Reunion: A Story,” and I can’t wait to see your thoughts about it.

Second, the quote is so fitting for folks with dreams!

    1. Happy to do so. I started reading the book Sunday and have read a couple chapter and loving it so far.

      Glad you enjoyed the quote!

      1. I’m happy that you love the novel! (It’s my first!)

  7. Great quote

    1. Thanks so much.

  8. Sorry to hear that is so weird, funny they followed you… you were probably interested in checking out their blog then saw your content 🙂 omg….. I like the quote, thanks for that.

    1. Haha yeah, it was so funny reading their post and being like wait that’s my post. Glad you enjoyed the quote.

      1. lol 🙂 it’s not funny, sorry I got a chuckle though.

        1. I chuckled too, what a dumb thing to do to follow the person that you’re stealing content from.

  9. 🙏🌹👍

    1. We all should try to follow our own path and our own dreams. When we start trying to steal that of others we’re lead astray and away from our own destiny.

  11. If you have dreams that clash with the dictates of a totalitarian regime then unfortunately no amount of work is going to achieve those goals.

    1. Unfortunately, that is the reality these days but I hope things eventually get better.

  12. I needed this quote this week, thanks for sharing. It is warming up here finally and the snow is almost gone, so looking forward to the better weather.

    1. Glad you enjoyed the quote. Oh good, so glad spring is finally springing.

  13. Love this quote and I’ve never heard/seen it before. It’s better to work towards your dreams than not, I say!
this week I’ve been throwing it back old school, listening to Tom Petty

    1. Glad you enjoyed the quote. That’s such a funny coincidence I woke up and the first song I listened to today was Free Fallin’!

  14. Wow, someone stealing content. You have my sympathies that it happened in the first place. Hope you are ok with the after-effects.

We had snow yesterday. In April. It wasn’t heavy enough to stick to the ground, but it was mentally discouraging. I want spring time, right now 😀

    1. Yeah, it sucked but I’m thankful I was able to talk to them and get it taken down.

Sorry to hear that, I know most people are very ready for warmer weather now. Hopefully, the snow will stop completely soon 😄

  15. I thought the quote was really cool… and I’m really sorry someone stole your content. It’s awful

    1. Glad you enjoyed the quote. Yeah, it’s awful to have content stolen because we work so hard on it. But I’m just glad they responded and took it down.

      1. I confess that it happened to me too, I found some of my poems being passed off by others as their own.😒

        1. Sorry to hear you went through that too. I don’t understand why someone would steal content. If you have nothing to share don’t start a blog. 😞

          1. I couldn’t agree more🙏

  16. an inspiring quote, Pooja … timely it seems for many🤍

thankfully you came across it and it was removed… 🤍

    1. Glad you enjoyed the quote and yes I was thankful that it was taken down promptly 💗

  17. How frustrating that someone keeps stealing your words! I’m glad you got this one taken down.

    1. It was definitely irritating but I’m so glad this one was quickly taken down. Sometimes it takes longer when I have to go through the process with WP.

  18. I enjoyed the quote, Pooja. How annoying that someone is stealing your content, and I am glad they quickly took it down. Why bother blogging if you have to copy another’s work?

    1. So glad you enjoyed the quote. Yes, definitely very annoying and it seems they published it once again so now I’ve had to go through the WP process which is time consuming. Honestly, I don’t get it. Don’t start a blog if you have no original content to share.

      1. How frustrating, Pooja. I don’t get it, and I hope you are successful in getting a resolution.

        1. Thank you, I hope so too.

          1. Most welcome.

  19. All dreams are within reach if you dream right.
All stars shine bright in the dark of the night.
    People come and people go,
    People smile and people woe,
Things are never black and white
    Even when they seem alright
    Sometimes early, sometimes late
    We are learning our fate
It is here, it is now time to manage it somehow
Time to trust and do your best,
    Persevere, stand the test.
    Feelings come and feelings go,
    Sometimes high and sometimes low…

    1. Loved this and so true, ups and downs are natural. All we can do is our best.

  20. A very inspiring quote Pooja. I’m sorry that someone tried to steal your content. Better inform the WP about it too so it doesn’t happens again

    1. Thanks so much. Yes, I’ve informed WP since they actually tried to steal it again. So frustrating.

      1. That blog should be banned

        1. I agree, at the very least they should take down the stolen content quickly.

          1. Very true. I think there is an option on the reader where you can block a blog and also report them.

            1. Yes, I hope to block them as soon as I can confirm the post was taken down.

              1. I hope that happens soon.

  21. A good, motivating quote.

I cannot figure out why people start blogs and then feature only stolen – or at least uncredited – works of others. Like, posting song lyrics without crediting the songwriter, presenting them as if they’re the blogger’s own poetry. What is the point?!

    1. Glad you enjoyed the quote.

Honestly, it feels so odd that people steal content. It’s like you have the choice to just not blog, no one is forcing you.

      1. Exactly! I guess they want notoriety.

  22. You taking care of business there I see! 😎 And that quote is really beautiful! 🌹

    1. Haha yessss, always 👌🏽 Glad you enjoyed the quote 😊

  23. I’m sorry for the try at theft. I appreciate it only being a try, but still it must be nerve-wracking. I agree, why make something public like a blog if you intend to steal someone’s else work? I like the connection made by Viola Davis (quoted) between dreams and movement. There are rest and contemplation–and there is action!

    1. Thanks, unfortunately they took it down for a day and posted it again (probably hoping I wouldn’t notice) so I have had to report them to WP. Yes, it’s just so odd to create a blog just to steal other people’s content.
      Glad you enjoyed the quote!

      1. Such a strange sort of crime. Not victimless. I hope the blog is rectified, as in made right. (Just read a review at Jonathan Moya’s blog about a move at Amazon with Viola Davis as the President of the USA. No doubt I’d vote for her.)

        1. Unfortunately, the post is still up but fingers crossed WP takes it down soon. Oh that’s really cool, absolutely Viola Davis is amazing.

  24. […] other news, I talked a little on my last post about the person that tried to steal my content but took it down when I contacted them. Well, they […]

  25. Glad to read you found resolution with your content and sorry it happened. I love the quote for its truthful simplicity and because Viola was my grandmother’s name. 🩷 Thanks, PJ and a lovely week to you!

    1. Unfortunately, the content was published again by them (probably hoping I wouldn’t notice this time) so I’ve had to report the post. Hopefully, it’ll get taken down soon. Oh wow, Voila is such a beautiful name 💗 Thanks and have a lovely week too!

      1. The nerve of some people! Best wishes with a final resolution. Thank you, she was a lovely woman, and she made the best apple pie! 💗 🙏🏻

        1. Thank you and she really does sound wonderful, yum! 💗

  26. Great quote! I agree!

    1. Glad you enjoyed the quote!

  27. Congrats to Alex!
As for the stealer of your content…. They messed with the wrong girl! Now don’t let us down. 😭😆😎💕🙏

    1. Haha yesss, I ended up reporting the post because they published it again. I gave them the chance to do the right thing now it’s one them 🤷🏻‍♀️

      1. That’s right… stand your ground! 🙌🏽

  28. If we have a dream we have life. It provides us with purpose and a goal – so important. Doing what you really want to do is worthy. Dream Pooj!

  29. I’m so sorry that happened to you Pooja. I hope the issue gets resolved soon.
I can never understand people who steal content. Like why try to be a content creator when you’re not going to even try to create.

    1. Thanks so much. Unfortunately, they published the post again so I have had to report it. I just hope WP takes it down quickly. Exactly, it’s so odd to create a blog just to steal other peoples content.

      1. Hopefully WP does it’s job and takes it down quickly.
        All the best.

        1. Hopefully 🤞🏽

    A lovely quote.

    1. Thanks so much.

  31. You’re right. The odds of getting what you want are always higher if you don’t quit. someone stealing your content? That’s weird. Some people want shortcuts in life. Better steal like an artist without copying other people’s work.

    1. Absolutely, consistency is the key to success in many cases. In the world we live in, especially more recently, people have become impatient and prefer instant gratification. But realistically, a lot of goals take much longer to achieve.
Yes, people don’t want to work hard and create their own content so they steal other people’s. It’s very disappointing.

      1. It’s just like in IG or Facebook. There are so many fake accounts, but they usually don’t last. You can’t steal art, Pooja. You can copy a piece of it, but its essence resides on the artist him/herself.
