Random Weird Things About Me That May Make You Unsubscribe

Random Weird Things About Me That May Make You Unsubscribe

I was going to share a different post today but I was going through my drafts and found this post and thought why not share it. So, without further ado here are some random weird things about me (please don’t unsubscribe!).

Random Weird Things About Me

  1. I don’t know why I do this but as far back as I can remember, I can only eat things in two’s. So if I’m eating like grapes or peanuts or cashews or something I can only eat them two at a time and one has to be on each side of my mouth. I don’t know why so don’t ask lol!
  2. I like spoilers. Most people hate spoilers for movies or TV shows or books but I’m fine with them. In fact, for me it’s comforting to know how things end because then I’ll know for sure whether I want to watch/read it or not.
  3. I can twist my feet/legs all the way around like in horror movies. Same with my fingers and most of my body. It’s not like a specifically weird thing, I’m just super bendy because I’m double jointed but it can be weird for people around me to see me bending my feet/legs the wrong way around lol.
  4. I have a really bad and a really good memory. When I am interested in something, I’ll remember it forever. Like the stuff I learnt in history, I still remember it all including the dates. However, I will discard anything my mind thinks is unimportant. What did I have for dinner today? No clue.

Share the weirdest things about yourself in the comments below because I would love to read them! And I’m definitely not asking because I’m stealing information about you and will eventually steal your identity 😃

I recently published my first book, if you would like to read it, please click here.

  1. My thumb was cut off by a sword

    1. I’m going to need a lot more details about this one.

  2. Wait, I like spoilers in some cases, too! I get so invested in a character’s experience. Sometimes it’s genuinely easier to enjoy the intricacies of a show or movie if I know in advance where it’s headed. That said, I HATE a spoiler with a book! That’s when I want to exist as the character and feel everything, where TV, I would like to focus more on the filmography and other decisions the writers made—if that makes any sense!

    1. Ooh interesting, that makes a lot of sense. I don’t mind spoilers for books but specifically hate spoilers for thrillers. Other than that I don’t mind any spoilers!

  3. We all have our quirks and that makes us unique so I think we will all stick around and enjoy your posts. 🙂

    1. Yes, so true. 🙂

  4. Hey, Pooj…

    “The butler did it.”

    🙂

    1. I had a feeling 😅

  5. Your quirks are fine, Pooja, I want to see you bend your bod! The two peanuts, one on each side is what I see as an Obsessive Compulsive disorder, I have my own too. No judgment, again. Spoilers? I don’t want to know how a movie or episode ends. A fun post, Pooj!!

    1. I need to share add a yoga video to my next day in my life video because the only good thing about being double jointed it I’m really good at yoga lol 😂 For sure we all have our little quirks and that’s okay. Thank you! ☺️

      1. You’re welcome, Pooj! Happy weekend. 🤙🏻❤️

        1. You as well! ❤️😊

  6. Nothing even close to making me unsubscribe 🤣🤣

    1. Lol glad to hear that 😅

  7. I’m staying subscribed

    1. Glad to hear that.

  8. Similar to how I will obsessively start to try to eat or twirl my mustache if it gets too long, I’ve always had this weird thing where I like to softly message my ear lobes whenever they get really cold. I just think it feels super good on my fingers when my ear lobes get really cold like that. Yeah I know, that’s SUPER weird! LOL! 😂

    1. Lol that’s interesting, I have heard of the ear lobe thing before but never the moustache thing! Always fun to learn other people’s quirks 😅

  9. I have a blond patch of hair in the back of my head. It’s turning a rust color as it grays.

I eat ice like it’s popcorn.

I don’t like different foods to touch on my plate.

I have trouble sleeping when a person is in bed with me. Pretty sure marriage or a long-term live-in relationship are out of the question..

    1. That’s so odd, I’ve never heard of different coloured patches of hair before. The food touching is so relatable, I used to have a major issue with that when I was younger but somehow stopped caring. I have a specific order in which I like to eat my food though (from least favourite to most favourite). Oh same, I hate sleeping in the same bed as someone else. I literally will be awake all night.

      1. I know why my “weird” things are weird to others, though. Autism Spectrum Disorder, specifically high functioning autism.

        We are who we are.

        1. Absolutely, we’re all different and that’s fine. That makes sense, I think people on the autism spectrum tend to have sensory issues which would explain some of those.

          1. Yes, that’s precisely it; the sensory issues.

  10. Was looking for some actors for a horror movie.

You seem a right choice. 😜

The last point is relatable. I remember many things which I shouldn’t but sometimes forget easy basic things.

Why one should should unsubscribe by reading all this?
I actually enjoyed reading this post.

You are a genuine person. And you look good when you smile.
    Stay happy, my friend!☺️

    1. Lol I’m the right person for the next exorcist movie 😅

Thank you and you too! 😊

  11. Hey Pooj, here is a spoiler for you, watch this movie with Pedro Pascal, Materialists, loved the movie, it made me laugh a lot, but at the end I felt bad for Pedro. Other than that excellent film for those who have a morbid sense of humor

    1. Ooh I keep hearing about it and I will definitely watch it. I’ll honestly watch anything with Pedro Pascal lol.

  12. Every thing in 4, one side one, then two on other side and back to one of first side. Kind of closure 🙂

    1. Interesting, a very similar quirk. 🙂

  13. I am the total opposite…..I can not stand spoilers 🤪. One of my grandkids tends to tell me what’s going to happen next when I watch a movie with them. So now I try picking a movie that they haven’t seen yet. 😁

    1. Lol that’s fair, I think most people hate spoilers and I’m somehow the opposite 😅 Haha yes, avoid watching things they’ve already seen 😄

  14. 🙏🙌🏻😊🙌🏻

    Aum Shanti

  15. I once had amnesia after a ski accident. When I was a teenager I was plagued by sleep paralysis. One time the Beagle Boys from Duck Tales came through the walls into my bedroom, kidnapped me, and tortured me. I woke up in pain. I knew the whole time that it could my be real, but that’s what sleep paralysis can do.

    1. I remember reading about the amnesia on one of your posts and both the amnesia and sleep paralysis sound terrifying. Thankfully, I’ve only experience sleep paralysis once in my life and even that was enough. Did it go away on its own as you got older?

    1. Being weird is great haha. Honestly, we’re all weird in our own way and have our own quirks. That’s what makes us human. Those that say they don’t have any quirks just haven’t allowed themselves to be their authentic self. Aw thank you so much! 😊

  17. I like spoilers on TV and in films BUT HATE them when it comes to books.

    1. Interesting. I don’t mind spoilers for books but never for books that are thrillers. With those ones I want to be surprised.

  18. Oh great post! I feel I know you better – I have too many weird quirks to mention, so I won’t. But I’ll enjoy your comments section for sure 😊

    1. Thank you! Lol that’s fair, these are just the tip of the iceberg for me. Yesss, everyone has left fascinating comments 😊

  19. I like scouring for spoilers too 😆

    1. Lol glad I’m not the only one 😅

  20. I’m not unsubscribing! These quirky facts about you are fun. I can relate to the one about spoilers. I don’t mind them at all.

    1. Thank you and glad you found them fun- I do too haha. Yeah, spoilers don’t change my experience with things and I guess some of us are fine with them!

  21. I’m still staying subscribed. And… Number 4 is true for me too!

    1. Thanks and glad you can relate too!

  22. Your memory is normal in my opinion, lol. Maybe you were chipmunk in a past life so that is why you eat in things in pairs, but it does not seem that strange to me. I like to read the last few pages of a book before starting it, so I am not sure if that is the same as a spoiler. The only weird thing I can think of that I do at the moment is collect tins that things come in such as chocolate turtles, Pirouline wafers, toffee and that sort of thing. Thanks for sharing your weirdness and have a wonderful week.

    1. Lol I so have other chipmunk like traits now that I think of it… Ooh yes, I do that too and read the last few pages first. Hmm that’s interesting, you must have so many empty tins. Thank you and you too 🙂

      1. I only collect tins that are different or odd in some way from ones I already have. I think I have about 20 so far.

        1. Ooh I see, that’s cool.

  23. I don’t know if this counts as weird but I love wearing colourful socks. I call them my happy socks because whatever I’m feeling, I can look down and smile and the ridiculousness of the socks

    1. That’s actually such a fun quirk and I can see how it would brighten your day.

  24. I like spoilers too, but not when someone just spoils something for me. I prefer to read recaps of movies/TV shows b/c like you said, I want to know if I’m going to enjoy it. And also a terrible ending will ruin the whole show or movie for me. But do not ever spoil books for me lol

    1. Same here, I like to always read the ending so I know if I’ll like it or not. With books, I don’t generally mind spoilers for books but never for thrillers lol.

  25. I remember you talking before how you were double jointed. Are there any negative side effects to it?

    1. Yup, lots unfortunately. It means my bones break more easily and I’m more likely to get stuff like arthritis and other joint issues. Among other health stuff. But at least I’m really good at yoga 😄

      1. arthritis, ouch! I hope that’s many years away for you! 🙂

        1. Let’s hope so!

  26. I refuse to eat popcorn at the movies until the first line of dialogue is spoken 😂

    1. Lol I don’t know why but that actually makes so much sense to me 😅

  27. We all have our quirkiness, Pooja; that’s what makes us unique. I like spoilers, and I’ll read endings before beginnings to see if I want to continue. I’m still staying subscribed.

    1. So true, we all have our own little quirks. I’m the same way, I want to know if the book/movie/show is worth watching all the way through. Thanks so much.

      1. Most welcome, Pooja.

  28. LOL that’s not so weird!!

    1. Oh good lol!

  29. A & J PEI Treasures/E Jean Simpson, BEd, BA, MA Avatar
A & J PEI Treasures/E Jean Simpson, BEd, BA, MA

Interesting … but not sure about weird.

    1. I’ve had a few people tell me these things are weird which is where this post stemmed from.

  30. I always use popcorn setting on the microwave no matter what I am cooking in it because it is easier

    1. That actually sounds quite convenient.

  31. Haha, I love your honesty here, not everyone will do that, you know. I have to sleep with no light in the room; no exceptions! 😊

    1. Thank you so much! Ooh interesting- I’m that way these days but when I was younger I couldn’t sleep without the lights on. I needed at least a nightlight.

      1. I think I was that way too, Pooja. The older I got the more serious I felt about getting enough sleep, like the light might wake me up, haha. 😊

  32. Haha nice title , of course I had to check it out . Weirdest thing about me , I love honey on my chicken nuggets and strips ! Also I did get attacked by a tiger once as a kid . It was scary but at least the tiger was a juvenile . Still have a few scars though

    1. Thank you! Ooh honey actually sounds good- I love the mix of sweet and savoury. By a tiger?? I’m going to need more details for that one…

      1. Yup a Truckstop in Lousiana had a loose tiger. It was younger , not full grown and running around the restraunt . It grabbed my arm and my back , but my mom tried to help . I was 6 at the time , the cook from the restraunt eventually came out and hit the tiger with a towel , and was able to seperate us . I remember going to the doctor and er and had to take antibiotics . Lousiana and many states in the US have very lax laws with keeping animals like tigers . I believe the Tiger Truckstop still has a tiger to this day .

        1. Wow, omg that sounds so scary glad you’re okay and it wasn’t worse.

          1. Yea I was super lucky . I did research the other day . I guess the Truck Stop got sold to new owners and doesn’t have any more tigers thank goodness . They were being kept in pretty poor conditions honestly .

            1. I’m glad they don’t have tiger anymore- so dangerous and most likely not a great way for a tiger to live.

              1. Yeah it was a horrible life for a tiger , living in a cage near diesal trucks 24/7 . I guess they had 13 tigers but most had passed away . Poor things . Even after being attacked and remembering , I still actuall really love tigers and big cats .

                1. That’s such a sad life for them, I’m glad they don’t keep them there anymore. Of course, it’s just instinct for them to behave that way. I love cats too and animals in general. They are very loving if treated well.

  33. I don’t start snacking until a tv show/movie starts. I also have a terrible and great memory at once. I can remember what happened 10 years ago, but I can’t remember what I did last week.

    1. That honestly makes sense I feel like snacks taste better when the show/movie is ongoing lol. Same memory here haha.

  34. I would never unsubscribe. I enjoy your posts way too much. And I seriously don’t consider you “weird”.

    1. Aw thanks so much, I appreciate you saying that.

  35. Ha! Not that weird, and I didn’t unsubscribe! 😉
Me? same as when I was a kid, I still like to keep my foods separated on my plate… which is ridiculous as it all ends up mixed together in the stomach!

    1. Lol glad to hear that! Hmm that’s really interesting. Do you have one of those plates with separate sections or are you okay with using a regular plate but just don’t like the food touching one another?

      1. Haha, I’m not quite obsessive enough to need one of those plates. And, come to mention it, sometimes when it’s a big family meal with lots of different dishes, it’s pretty impossible to keep it all apart and I surrender to it… and nothing bad happens! 😂

        1. Haha yeah, it feels weird till we do it and the world keeps spinning 😅

  36. Nothing you said made me run the other way! LOL. Weird facts about me:
I absolutely love daytime thunderstorms / tornado warnings but hate the nighttime ones because you can’t see much other than when the sky lights up.
I have a weird obsession with the Amish and love learning about their ways of life, and I plan to buy a horse one day – black and white – and name him COW! 😁

    1. Lol glad to hear it! Ooh I do too, honestly thunderstorms are so fascinating to watch. To be fair, the Amish are incredibly fascinating. And Cow would be a hilarious name, I love it!

  37. Totally aligned with your #4. I play the game that my brain only has so much Random Access Memory (RAM) and that anything new that comes in needs to push something out into long-term Archive storage, or just delete it completely. I seem to be pretty selective on what get stored for quick access like Names. You can tell me your name 1, 2, or 3 times, but I can’t commit it to short-term memory unless I use it more. LOL. Conversely, if it is something I am very interested in, it is stored with no question and I will remember it without question. I guess I have just become very selective with what I prioritize as important to my needs.

    1. Lol yes, exactly you have to get rid of or move some stuff to make room for more. I think many of us get selective with the information we store or discard.

  38. You picked some really fun things about yourself! Was nice learning more about you ✨️. Its interesting how you like spoilers! Something I dont know if is weird or not about me is that I sleep with crystals underneath my pillow and I charge them in the sun on a windowsill throughout the day! 💫

    1. Thank you! Ooh that’s so cool, I find crystals so fascinating 😄

  39. Fascinating insights, Pooja! 💞💞💞
I wish I could pick and choose what my brain holds. There are times I feel like it goes on a random dumping spree, dancing through the stacks of files willy-nilly, picking them at random and deleting them. Name of a random stranger I talked to decades ago….permanent storage. Name of my child…..gone like the wind. LOL

    1. Thank you! Lol that’s me with names too, I’m so bad with them but then there are random names I just know and will always remember 😅💕

  40. If the weird things make you, you, they are definitely not so weird to me 😁😂💘

    1. Haha thank you ☺️

      1. You are very welcome🙌😆; have a great day Pooja🙏😇💙

        1. Have a great day too 😊💕

          1. My pleasure and thanks alot — keep being yourself sweetie 😆🫡

            1. You as well! 😅😊

              1. Haha thanks I will 🙏😹🥰

  41. LOLOL … You kill me in the best ways, Pooja <3 and I agree about spoilers (haha), plus I will read the last page to ensure it's up to my expectations! Certain noises will drive me insane and it's a short drive! I like weird idiosyncrasies makes things not boring! Also, a slow picky eater here that doesn't have time for meals … I like to converse or read whilst chewing, multitasking! Your posts are always entertaining, and your personality outstanding! 😉

    1. Hehe glad you enjoyed it and agree with the spoilers weirdness. Same, I love reading the last couple of pages first so I know whether I’ll like it or not. I’m always a fan of idiosyncrasies too, definitely keeps things interesting! I’m a slow eater but not very picky. Loved learning more about your weirdness, it’s what makes us who we are! 😊

  42. I love spoilers! I think that is interesting about you eating things in two’s. X

    1. That’s cool, I guess quite a few of us actually like spoilers!

  43. I relate strongly to your comments around memory! I don’t really mind spoilers either, in most cases

However, your bendiness and penchant for balancing food, is so cute an peculiar! 😀

    1. Haha thank you! Yeah, I feel like many of us have selective memories 😅

  44. I can’t eat just one peanut either. If I eat one, I cannot stop eating them without an intervention!

    1. Lol my dad says he has the same problem!

  45. When I wash my locs…. it rains.

    ~B

    1. That is a weird coincidence, does it happen every single time?

      1. about 9/10 times
        ~B

        1. That’s still a lot. Interesting. I’ll think of you whenever it rains now, lol.

          1. My mum sometimes calls to ask me not to wash my hair when she has weekend plans😂😂😂
            ~B

  46. Wow these are really weird 😂😂. But don’t worry Pooja, think of them as special 😊.

    1. Lol yes that’s how I think of it- I’m just very unique 😅

  47. subscribed only👍👍👍

    1. Thank you 😊

  48. Would have been nice to have some bendy horror-like feety photos 😊

    1. Haha maybe next time 😊

  49. You’ll never make us unsubscribe!!! We adore you

    1. Aw thank you!
