What I Eat In A Day (Healthy Edition)

I’m back with another “What I Eat In A Day” post. I want to start making these like once a week because I’m having so much fun with making the videos and posts.

I’ve also shared a video version of this post on my YouTube. I would love it if you took a minute to check it out there and interact with the video. I’m trying to grow my YouTube channel at the moment and that would really help.

Breakfast

I forgot to film and take pictures because I’m so not used to having breakfast yet but yes I actually have been having breakfast for the last few days! I had some tea and biscuits which is my absolute favourite combo.

Lunch

What I Eat In A Day

For lunch I had rice and daal and so many veggies. I had some stir fried radish (the little pink ones), cauliflower and peas curry, cabbage curry and some cut up raw veggies. There are days when I just want tons of veggies and they make for such a light but satisfying meal.

Dinner

What I Eat In A Day

For dinner, I tried to (unsuccessfully) make orange tofu. It turned out very nice but didn’t taste like the orange tofu you get at Chinese restaurants. I’ll have to try another recipe next time. On the side, I had the saddest avocado in the world lol. I had this avocado in my fridge that was about to go bad. I tried to salvage it and that was pretty much the only parts that looked edible. #noregrets

Final Thoughts

That’s what I eat in a day, I hope you enjoyed reading/watching it. I was honestly just craving veggies which is why lunch was so packed with veggies. They’re honestly my favourite, I could cut out protein and carbs if I had to but I can’t live without veggies and (specific) fruits lol.

  5. Nice post! I love rice with veggies, always a good combo. I have been making breakfast for my sister while visiting, now I’m a certified french cook lol
    We had pasta for lunch and pizza for dinner, carbs are my favorite no questions asked. But sometimes I have to have salad because it’s essential. And yes, we did have dessert late at night, good day of eating and tea drinking with fam.

    1. Thank you! I think I could live without all other carbs but would miss rice a lot lol. Ooh that sounds so yum, I had pizza for dinner today too. And dessert is a must especially when you eat with family. Hope your sister and the baby are doing well.

    1. Yes, always thankful for good food! Lol steamed squash doesn’t sound bad at all though- I’ve gotten very into squash based dishes for some reason too so I guess I would side with your wife 😛

  12. Mrs B is an avocado fiend and so I’ve learned, by association, more than I ever wanted to about it. So I had to laugh at the poor little bits of salvaged avocado, because that is exactly what she’d do, get what she could out of it 😀

    How intensive was the orange tofu recipe? Not that I’m going to make it, especially if it doesn’t taste like the stuff from a restaurant, but just wondering if it is worth the time overall.

    1. Yup, you gotta save those little salvageable pieces lol. 😂 The orange tofu recipe was super easy to make, in general it seems like an easy dish, the only issue was that it was lacking in flavour.

        1. Exactly, the flavour is the best part. I think the recipe missed some ingredients to be honest.

    1. Haha yeah, it’s hard to change our diets when we’re used to what we like. For me, decreasing chips to once a week was the hardest part.

    1. Thank you so much. Haha some days are much less healthy and inclusive of junk food. The weather is definitely cooling down, thankfully. Hope you’re enjoying the start of spring and doing better now!

      1. I’m happy to hear your weather continues comfortably. It’s cool here just now, which for me is just right. I wish I could say I’m better, but I continue to be sick from my living space, and now I have two cardiac procedures scheduled over the next few weeks. I guess I’ll say more about this in my blog. Sigh.

    I definitely need to start incorporating more veggies into my meals. But these days, I really enjoy having watermelon with almost every meal.

  24. Ah… veggies in abundance. I have days like that as well. Especially if I dont have time to make my green smoothies before work. I get tons of veggies for lunch.

    1. Yeah, I feel like fruits and veggies are so necessary and make for the perfect light meal.

      1. Nutrient density is so important if im training. But a good veggie bowl is such a good gap filler lol.

  27. Hi Pooja, I like tofu because it becomes anything we want. Please tell me what daal is and how it tastes.

    1. Yeah, tofu is very versatile and a great source of plant protein. Daal is made of red lentils and has some spices in it. It’s quite nice and very comforting to have.

  28. Ooh the orange tofu looks very nice, ive never had that at chinese b4. Did you have to coat the tofu or just cook it as is? Id be worried it would fall apart! 🤣

    1. Yes, I coated it in cornstarch and cooked it separately first! It would have crumbled at the edges otherwise 😂

  29. You have such a healthy diet. I eat good some of the time, bad a tiny bit of the time, and somewhere in between for the rest. You left me wanting for some roasted veggies. Hugs, C

    1. I’m the same way, I try to eat healthy but will occasionally have something not so healthy. It keeps me happy lol. Roasted veggies are so good, especially with a nice dip like hummus!
