My entire life, I’ve always been sort of ordinary. Not plain, just not exceptional. And I mean that in the nicest way. I love myself, exactly as I am. But I also see myself as I am without needing to inflate. I’m a pretty average person and for the longest time I was sort of numb. Like I was just existing. But at the same time I felt like I was chasing something. Something that would make me feel extraordinary. And now, I understand that writing makes me feel extraordinary.
When I sit down to write, I feel something. I feel like my purpose in life has finally been shown to me. And it’s a really cool feeling.
And to tie all this in with the novel I have coming out on the 5th. One of the main things for me when writing this novel is that I was writing it for me. I shared the story I had in my head that I had been trying to get written down for so many years now. And that in itself was a huge achievement for me.
Even though I went through some of the toughest times in my life in the last two years, writing kept me sane. Finishing this book and getting it published gave me a goal that kept me going even when I wanted to give up.
And I don’t really know what the point of this post is, maybe it doesn’t have one. But all I want to say is keep doing what you love. Writing makes me feel extraordinary, what makes you feel that way?
Also, my first novel, Perfect is now available for preorder on Amazon. I would be really grateful if you checked it out by clicking here.
