I’m Not Over You

I tried my best

I did everything I could

To distract myself

I stopped thinking about you

And I stopped dreaming about us

I even threw away

Everything that reminded me of you

But I can’t help it

You’re still in my head

It’s like you’re a part of me now

Even though I was never a part of you

I know it’s sad but

I’m not over you

“I’m Not Over You” is a poem that first appeared on Lifesfinewhine. This poem describes what it is like to attempt to get over someone and move on but not being able to do so. Moving is for the best sometimes but it is easier said than done. Love is a complicated thing and it is something that stays with us. It is hard to let go of people when you have loved them for so long. They become a part of who you are. It’s very hard to let go at that point.

    1. The process is never easy but we all need to remember that eventually we need to move on because we can’t continue to live in the past. It’s very difficult but I’m sure some day you will be free of the past
