It’s Officially Summer!

This summer is very special for me because my friends have been gone to universities in different countries for almost an year and now they’re finally back for a few weeks/months and we can hang out all the time!!

Yesterday I met with one of my friends who just came down from Canada since she also has summer off and we had an amazing time having lunch and chatting! We actually spent like 3 hours in the restaurant which is insane because I hardly ever talk to people that much! We talked about a lot of things (including her insanely adorable dog!) and I found out that Canadians are incredibly punctual which is terrifying for me because I’m one of those people who are always late for everything so I am definitely going to have to work on that!

Anyway we had a great time and I really enjoyed talking to someone who is so thoughtful and deep. I think those are the best conversations to have!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post I know I haven’t been writing a lot about what’s going on with me lately! Also sorry for the Awards overload but I want to finish doing all of them at once!

  1. Take your time. I think it’s amazing that you don’t procrastinate doing the award posts. I’ve been doing that for a long time and I don’t know when I’ll get all of it done!

    1. Yes and I am so looking forward to it! Weirdly enough Canada used to be my last choice and for a while I was thinking of going to Europe but most places there don’t teach in English so I decided on Canada! 😁

    1. Thanks I hope so too! I will try to see it if possible they sound amazing! Do you live in Detroit by any chance because it’s very close to where I’m going and another blogger was telling me it’s at the border too!

        1. Ooh ok so you’re not that close to St. Catherines but you’re right next to where my friend who I met up with lives!!

            1. Omg I am so sorry about your loss! I can’t even imagine what you must be feeling! What happened to her? Was she sick?

              1. She was fine until yesterday she just started being really limp and non responsive. We tried but she died anyway. I’m super devastated bc my other rabbit also died. I think it was because I got her from a place where they didn’t really keep them in nice environment and maybe she got sick there? 🙁

    1. Haha well that definitely makes me feel a little better! But I still want to be on time and try to turn over a new leaf! Yeah I found out so much about Canada from her and we also had a lot of fun!

  2. Do you ever go on summer road trips? Maybe visit Ethiopia, drive up the countryside?

I may not be Canadian but I am thoughtful and deep…I think.

    1. I’ve been to Uganda because I have relative there and that was super fun and we are planning to go to Tanzania some time this year because my friend went there and she loved it! We usually go to places in Kenya when we go on road trips though!

Hahaha yeah I think a lot of non-Canadians are thoughtful and deep too! 😜
