Last Night- A Poem

Last night

I dreamt that you were here

And nothing would ever change

That we were reunited

And this time it would last forever

But then I awoke from my heaven

To find an empty bed

With no one lying next to me

“Last Night” is a poem I recently wrote that first appeared on Lifesfinewhine. I don’t know exactly how I can describe this poem. Or what I can say about the poem. As you know, I absolutely love reading, it’s one of my favourite hobbies. Although I would strongly say I am not a fan of romance novels I have been reading some occasionally. I think they are much lighter than what I normally read. And they may have put me in a bit of a cheesy mood which led to this poem.

Do you enjoy romantic poem? Are you a fan of romance novels? Let me know in the comments below because I would love to hear from you.

  1. Yeah, I like the poem. I keep doing it(waking up to an empty space after every other dream!) every now and then!

  2. I love the way you use the multi-verse like links to other poetry within the poem. One day, I will have to try that. It connects all those things caught in the silk with an interesting vibration.
