I recently started using Instagram and picked up on some ways on how to get more followers and I thought I would share it with you guys!
Be Active- try to make sure you like, follow and repost others posts as well as leave positive comments. This will help people notice your page and more people are likely to follow it.
Post Regularly- If you’ve been on Instagram for a while you know that even if you don’t post for a day you’ll start losing followers so try to post as regularly as possible to avoid losing followers and gaining more on a regular basis.
Don’t follow to unfollow- Seriously everyone hates those people that follow and and unfollow people on Instagram. Most people have apps to get rid of unfollowers anyway so it’s really not going to help you plus it’s just a crappy thing to do and people will not only unfollow you back but probably end up blocking you.
Tags- Make sure to use a good amount of both popular and less popular tags to attract more people to your page. You can find the tags on Google but make sure you use tags that are relevant to your post and not just random.
Be Genuine- Post about things you genuinely like and want to post about instead of posting about something everyone else is posting about. Sometimes it’s really helpful to be unique and different and it will actually attract more people to your page. Plus, people can tell when you’re passionate about something and it will make them appreciate your posts more.

Very nice. As a self empowerment coach, I agree with your points. However, the amount of followers and likes does not define us.
We must evaluate why we even need followers, etc. If it’s to sell products and/or be an influencer of some sort to get sponsors; then it will require a pretty good following to get brands reaching out to you.
Nevertheless, being our authentic highest self is going to create the following that you want and vice versa.
I firmly believe that we have to evaluate whys we are fixed on followers and then be able to look in the mirror and be happy with whom we are.
We need to remember not to leave our day job for false expectations that some social media marketers are trying to sell. It makes money for them but it may leave you with a disappointing reality.
Be You always, Emma😁

Yes absolutely the amount of likes or followers we have shouldn’t define us and many of the people promising you’ll make enough money to leave your day jobs are usually scammers or part of a pyramid scheme.

Ha! Just followed you. Instagram is a bit too instant for me, but I like it thus far. But, I definitely have to do things at my own pace like I do others. This is good advice. Peace.

Instagram’s a joke these days. I left it a year ago. People are obsessed with that thing. It didn’t appeal to me.

I actually started Instagram before this blog. And Ive learned that it is great for pics but not really for speaking your mind. Sometimes I feel people don’t really read what is posted. I do still love posting my book pictures though because they are pretty. But I don’t stress the followers to much. 😉

Yeah I agree Instagram is more for people just looking at pictures because most people rarely read the captions but WordPress is great for expressing yourself!
