I’m kind, ambitious and empathetic.
3. The best decisions you made in your life?
Creating this blog.
4. What was your ambition when you were a kid?
To become a vet- and as you guys know… I’m a history major now so that didn’t work out lol!
5. What is education for you?
I don’t usually have very long answers but this is something I am very opinionated about so here it goes. I feel that education is absolutely vital and necessary but the problem I have is that the education we are getting may not always be the education that we need. I think education is wonderful but I think there is so much that needs to be improved about it. As I mentioned earlier I’m a history major and as a history major I get to learn a lot of stuff in detail and that kind of made me realise how horrible history is in high school. We are so often taught a very fabricated version of the truth- not just with history but with everything. If you truly want to educate yourself I would recommend that you learn the stuff taught in school but also learn to question it and do your own research. Also pick up on life skills on your own because a lot of things you need to know as an adult will not be taught to you in school.

I think it is wonderful that you are a history major. I agreed with your comment about history – research and know the truth. The commonly accepted reasons for events doesn’t always agree with the facts. I certainly found that myself when I did some history research. What boggles my mind is when I explain this to someone and give them the truth based on facts, they really don’t care. Frustrating not the history event, but the lack of interest. – I am more of a Bugs Bunny and Marvin the Martian fan. LOL

Yeah the lack of interest really gets to me and I can understand the frustration. It’s sad that people choose to remain ignorant about history even though learning history properly could literally change so many things. I love Bugs Bunny too but Tom and Jerry is hands down my favourite lol!

Congratulations, I loved reading your answers! Yes I think that education is something vital, I honestly don’t see how some people can hate school because it’s so necessary; but each to their own!

Thank you so much! I think people hate school because of the way they are taught things now because they are being taught things. I agree though school is so vital.

I totally agree with your opinions on education. I think we’ve meshed ‘schooling’ and ‘education’ in the world we live in today. While most people think that going to school means your educated, it is, however false because there are those that have gone to school yet can’t face real life situations head on probably because they were thought fictitious truths. Just my opinion. 😊

You are so right! There is so much more to being educated than just finishing school. You could have amazing grades but still not know how to do everyday things.

Congratulations on your award! I have to say I really agree with you that whilst education is wonderful, we don’t always get taught what we need to be taught and that is a shame, I had times in school where I felt I was just being taught to pass an exam rather than to learn something meaningful and worthwhile.

Thank you so much!! I feel the same way about school- I feel like it’s more about memorising things and grades rather than actually learning things that will help us in the future which is kind of problematic.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes a lot is absolutely just memorising, I think that’s why I have forgotten so much from school. My grades were good but I probably wouldn’t pass most of the exams now.

Oh yeah, history is definitely complicated. I love learning it but sometimes I have to research from a few different sources before finding the story closest to the truth. 🙂
LikeLiked by 2 people
Yeah you definitely need multiple sources to get an accurate idea of what happened and it’s better to get primary sources because I’ve noticed that most secondary sources have an agenda/bias.
LikeLiked by 1 person
So true! Primary sources are the best. Thankfully my history courses use a lot of those!

Congratulations. In my opinion, education must improve a person and make him a responsible citizen of a country rather than making him a crammer and a robot. I completely agree with you that education needs reform.
