Henry David Thoreau Quote:
I wanted to share this Henry David Thoreau quote this week because it really spoke to me and the way I’ve been feeling about life recently. It seems to be an undeniable truth that humans were meant to live wild and free. We try so hard to force norms on to the human race when it’s clear that we are not all uniform and therefore norms can never work positively for everyone.
We see it everywhere, norms being shoved down our throats. Uniformity and compliance constantly rewarded while any digression from norms punished harshly. And yet those that fight to be who they are unapologetically do so. Human resilience is truly something. And it’s the only thing many of us have as a tool to fight against people trying to keep us in this box.
What are your thoughts on this Henry David Thoreau quote? What are you doing to surround yourself with more positive people today? Or even just be a more positive person in general? Are you wild and free right now? Are you trying to be? How was the last week for you? Any plans for this week? Anything you’re excited about this coming week? Let me know in the comments because I would absolutely love to hear from you. Or simply stop by and say hi!
