Maya Angelou Quote #2

Quote Of The Day

Maya Angelou Quote:

Maya Angelou Quote

About This Maya Angelou Quote:

As you may know if you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, I am a really big fan of Maya Angelou. I read her book, I Know Why The Caged Birds Sing, in high school and it really left a mark. She is so brilliant and even after everything she went through she has remained strong.

I wanted to share this quote as a reminder to us all about the importance of using our creativity. It’s something we have to practice on a daily basis, like a knife you have to keep sharpening it. And don’t be afraid to run out, there’s no such thing as too much creativity. So remember to be creative this week and make the most of it. Creativity isn’t given enough credit, it can honestly change your life.

What are your thoughts on this Maya Angelou quote? What are you listening to this week? How was the last week for you? Any plans for this week? In what ways are you moving towards finding peace both internally and in your life as a whole this week? How do you deal with things when they seem to go wrong? How are you tapping into your creativity and creative side recently? What are your favourite ways to be creative? Let me know in the comments section located below because I would absolutely love to hear from you. Or simply stop by and say hi!

  1. Creativity is a bottomless pool. Drink!

      1. Hope things are going ok. I see you aren’t doing blog stuff right now.

        1. Everything is fine- thanks for checking up on me! I am just a bit busy so I took some time off blogging and social media but hope to be back to blogging tomorrow and back to social media next week.

  2. Keep those creative juices flowing!

  3. No one ever told me grief felt like fear. – C.S.Lewis

    1. Oh wow that’s a really good one- thanks for sharing it.

  4. Beautiful 💞

  5. Ain’t that the truth!

    1. I definitely think so!

  6. Love this quote! ✨💛

  7. Wonderful quote!

    1. Thanks so much!

  8. I have found your quote to be true. When I’m “in the groove,” with writing or music, it feels like an endless stream. The problem becomes turning it off when it’s time to eat, sleep, or simply spend time with loved ones.

    1. Hey- look who didn’t get stuck in my spam!

I definitely feel like I can’t turn it off sometimes and I know my family gets irritated occasionally because they want to do something but I’m in the middle of writing. It’s hard to have that perfect balance sometimes.

  9. I’m creative while I’m sleeping.🥺❤️

    1. I can’t sleep because I’m creative 🥺

      1. Lol I can sleep all day and wake up creative in the night❤️

        1. Haha same!

          1. Like minds like choices😌

  10. I couldn’t agree more… it’s just sitting there waiting for us to use it…

    1. Yes absolutely!!

  11. It is said there used to be a poet who’s very creative when he’s sleeping. Is it Freud who said that the dream set us free from the usual restrictions we experience during the daytime? OK, now in order to be more creative, I will go to bed.

    1. Lol I am definitely quite creative in my dreams. I believe it is either Freud or Jung that said that but not too sure.

  12. I am way to precious with my creativity, as if each brush stroke needs it’s own gift wrapping to keep it safe.

    1. I understand that feeling- I get like that sometimes too.

  13. I was unable to leave a comment on your most recent post and I am guessing you disabled comments so that you can stay focussed on the task at hand. Correct me if I’m wrong…

I wanted to share a thought with you regarding your “posting streak” (sept 30 blog post). Do realize that the need to maintain this “posting streak” is in your head. When we place worth on these things, we think that they are important. But honestly, it doesn’t matter if you don’t post for a few days. We will still be here when you get back.

That is all. Take care! ☕️💕

    1. Yup my comments were shut for a bit.

Thanks! I totally get that streaks aren’t real but I want that little WP notification that says 365 days at the end of the year lol. And blogging keeps me sane 😂

      1. Does it really? That’s cool. I didn’t know that WP kept track of streaks. Same, I visit WP daily despite not uploading very often 😅

        1. Yeah it has like a little streak notification thing. WP keeps us going lol!

  14. Maya Angelo is one of my favorite authors. This is an excellent quote. Thanks for sharing.

    1. She’s one of my favourites too.
