Six Word Story:

Anthropomorphic aliens perhaps walking amongst us.

This word isn’t new to me but it’s a word I really like but don’t get to use often. So I thought I would share it today with this six word story. Do you believe in aliens? Is this word new to you or is it a word you are already familiar with? Let me know in the comments below!

Also, I was watching Scary Movie 3 yesterday which I think inspired this six word story. I don’t know if you guys have seen those movies but they are so funny. I had never seen them before but I started watching them recently and I’m done with the third one so far. Hoping to watch the next one soon. Anyway, there is a part about aliens which is so funny. Here’s a short YouTube clip of it:

Warning: Contains explicit and/or suggestive langage so if you find that sort of thing offensive don’t watch it. Also, don’t watch it if you want to avoid spoilers.

Today’s Word:

Anthropomorphic

1: Anthropomorphic means “described or thought of as being like human beings in appearance, behavior, etc.”

Don’t forget to leave your six word story reply in the comments because I always love reading them or simply stop by and say hi!

  1. Dear Pooja,

Hello! Thank you for your Six Word Story #186.

Was it you who were wearing that alien mask?

By the way, please note that the video cannot be played. It has the message:

    Video unavailable
    This video is not available

There is a word related to “Anthropomorphic”, which you have introduced and explained here nicely. That word is “Anthropocentric”, which is used six times in my post entitled “Do Animals Create Art and Music? 🎵🐕🎶🐒🎹🐘🖼🐬🎨“, available at

    Happy October to you soon!

    Yours sincerely,
    SoundEagle

    1. Thanks so much. No that’s not me in the mask, just an image I got online. I’ll recheck the video and see what the issue is. Thanks for letting me know.
I will most definitely check out your post as well. Thanks for sharing it and Happy October to you too!

lol! I have seen all of those movies, so funny! And I 100% believe in aliens. 👽👽👽👽

    1. They’re hilarious and I definitely believe in aliens too!

  3. My son introduced me to X Files and I’m currently watching it. So, I’m enthralled with aliens now.

    1. I love the X Files, so interesting.

  4. I believe in it all. If we’re here, something’s out there. 🤪

    1. Same here 😜

  5. Anthropomorphic? Maybe not plausible, but if we don’t use humanistic elements, then likely. It seems like us humans tend to judge things from our own perspective and our own consciousness that even if something is “out there,” it’d only be good as a slave/domestic, something they can reproduce with, or something between that. Most of us humans cannot deal with other unlike people who are the same but different, how will we deal with aliens?

I like to believe that we were a contamination that happened and soon we will accidentally contaminate somewhere else. But in all seriousness, yes, and I fear for their safety and ours.😂

    1. Haha I always think aliens know we exist they just don’t like us so they don’t interact with us or ever visit Earth 😂

      1. 😂😂 I agree with that too.

  6. Haha this is fun!
Yes, I do believe in aliens.
It’s not necessary that they are on mars. But there are probably endless solar system and there’s possibilities that there are planets similar to us. Now, it’s not necessary that aliens look like this 👽. But, I’m certain that there are countless such planets. There could be multiple earths with wild beasts ruling it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    1. Thanks and I think so too! I don’t think aliens look like what we think they look like. They’re probably completely different than anything we can imagine or fathom.

  7. Yes. Aliens may or may not be real. But I’ve never seen one like how movies and others described it. But I like to think that it’s a metaphorical way of calling someone an outcast. It’s a way of dehumanizing someone and a guiltless way to 👉😣🔫. You remove the irrelevant content before it becomes the cancer or virus.

    1. Hmm that’s a very interesting way to look at it. Sometimes it can be a metaphor for someone different or outside the norm.

  8. Sure will see the movie soon as suggested by u!

    1. Hope you enjoy it!

  9. We don’t appreciate the pejorative, Andromorphic! 😉

    1. Haha that’s fair 😜

  10. The clip was hilarious 😂

And I’m not even sure if I believe in aliens or not, but it’s less stressful to worry about them, existing or not

    1. Right? The movie is so funny 😂

I don’t think it matter that much if they exist or not but I would like to think that they do 😂

  11. The universe is so big. There might be aliens out there. Watching us right now.

    1. Exactly, it’s hard to believe we’re the only ones out there in this infinitely large universe.

  12. We are the gods that the ancients gossiped about with grand exaggeration for their own purposes to dominate their own people. Don’t blame us for that. It’s an odd tendency to want to make everything seem like your own kind and to analogize from there. You anthropomorphize everything — even to say that “the river was kind” (kindness a human trait). It is perhaps a universal tendency. You anthropomorphize and some of our comastrikoí (compatriots) astrikoítheosify which is to make everything like us. You anthropomorphize your pet dogs by talking to them and expecting that they understand, our comastrikoí astrikoítheosify humans, expecting that they understand astrophysics. But neither dogs nor humans understand astrophysics, and humans don’t make good pets — not compliant.

  13. Drank anthropomorphic Siren* vodka on rocks.

    * Greek and Roman Mythology: A Siren is minor goddess who lures sailors to their deaths on rocky coasts with her song.

    1. Oh wow, so interesting. Love that SWS.

  14. That’s an interesting word!
Watch Men In Black. This movie too is based on this concept.

    1. I love Men in Black!

  15. my cats think they are Anthropomorphic 🥹

    1. Haha all cats think that 😂

  16. Those scary movies are fun to watch. I haven’t seen them in a long time. I’m sure there’s aliens out there, just haven’t met them yet.

    1. This is my first time watching them and yeah they’re very funny. I think so too, aliens are definitely out there.

  17. Think I’ll just leave “anthropomorphic” alone 🤣.

    1. Haha that works too 😂

  18. LOL Anything that has Leslie Nielsen in it is gonna be funny! I love him!

    1. He’s hilarious!

  19. That motive clip cracks me up.

“An anthropomorphic tree haunts the forest.”

    1. Haha yeah that movie is hilarious.

Love that SWS. I think there are many stories with tress like that.

      1. I was going for “movie clip” with that last comment and I didn’t notice how it was corrected by my phone.

Yeah… I enjoy the whole “haunted forest” idea because there’s so much human history with it, but I love “anthropomorphic aliens” even more. One of my favorite movies is “They Live.” Great SWS!

        1. Haha that’s okay I assumed that’s what you meant. Typos effect the best of us.

I love They Live. It’s a really great movie.

  20. I am going to have to look up this word for more understanding.

    1. Sure, no problem.

  21. Truly, they walk among us, hidden!

    1. Absolutely, they definitely do!

  22. Wonderful Post
    Thanks

    1. Thank you.
