What’s Up With Me?

My mum was watching shorts of YouTube and saw mine pop up organically and told me really excitedly. It was so sweet. She looked so happy, lol.

Not much has been happening with me except my foot randomly started hurting. It’s weird but I’m not really surprised because I’ve been having random aches and pains since I turned twenty-five. But alas, life goes on.

I am currently reading multiple books at once which is kind of fun because they’re both really different. But very good in their own way.

Can you tell I don’t have much to say by the short paragraphs?

Oh, I’ve been utterly obsessed with The Last Of Us. It’s such a fantastic show and the actors are so perfect for their roles. I absolutely adore Pedro Pascal. And I love him on The Mandalorian too. The first episode of the new season came out and I really liked it. Especially the part where Grogu was using the force to spin himself on the chair lol.

Not much else has happened this week. Last week? Whatever week we’re on. I’ve been working, eating, napping. The usual. I’m hoping to go out and have a little more fun one of the days next week. Maybe go for lunch or coffee or something.

How was your week last week? Any plans for this week? Let me know in the comments below or simply stop by and say hi!

  1. I haven’t seen The Last of Us but I wanted to watch it. There was a scene that was filmed in Alberta! My husband happened to be in the area and saw the set where they were filming it.

          1. I have neither of these streaming services lol If anything I’ll find a way to download it. I know someone who can download it for me if it comes down to that. 🤫

  2. Hi Pooja,
That’s so cool to read how your mum encountered your short on YouTube. As a parent, I can totally relate to the pride one feels when seeing something their child has created.
I hope your mysterious foot pain resolves soon!

  3. I’m 62 and have three herniated lower-lumbar that have been inflicting pain in my hip joint and right foot for over a week now. These aches come and go because of the sciatica. Consider yourself lucky, Pooja! ❤️

  4. My monday has been…cranky. I watched the Mandalorian this weekend. I love Pedro Pascal. He was on SNL 2 or 3 weeks ago and it was the funniest episode in a long time. Tomorrow I will get caught up with the Last of Us. I’ve really enjoyed the show so far.

    1. Yes, Pedro Pascal is so effortlessly funny and witty. I’ll have to watch that SNL episode. I’ve seen a bit on TikTok but not everything.

  5. That quote is so true!

You had me laughing at pain at 25. Wait until you get to 50, it’s all downhill from there 🤣🤣.

Yes!! The Last of Us is such an exciting show. Hope they don’t drag it out though like they did “The Walking Dead”.

    1. Yes, I absolutely agree. It’s also just more realistic to aim for doing your best instead of aiming for perfection. Thanks so much.

  6. one of the most realatable quotes for the day especially when everyone expects you to be excellent in everything ignoring that you are already trying your very best.

  7. Doing your best… For sure.
    Lovely quote, Pooja.
I must commend your ability to be reading multiple books 😋👌 lol, I wish I could do that 😁
Great how you making your mum proud. So sweet 🤍

  8. When I ran my school that was the basis of what we did. Everybody in the school was equally important, we just had different roles to perform. All the prizes were based on effort. Effort was what was judged not outcome. It was a happy, high-achieving school.

    1. That’s so great and how I think schools should be run in general. Not stressing the students works so much better and actually helps them learn.

  9. Good quote. It is true that even though many of us wouldn’t mind being the best in something, doing our best is how we can possibly get there.

  10. Doing your best is always a test,
Feeling so tired, feeling so stressed
    Someone is lively, someone depressed
Doing your best, having no rest…

  11. Yes, I’ve been trying to be excellent, but only succeeding in dissatisfaction and imperfection. LOL. I guess that’s life. Anyway, life is an endless repeating and same old same old.

  12. On turning 25.
I didn’t know our bodies go through numerous changes when we reach that age.
I remember being on a 2hr+ phone call with a friend because the body changes I was experiencing, were beyond what I could handle.
I was later on told that 25 is like the second year/phase of puberty.
So our bodies start experiencing all sorts of changes when we are in that age.

Hope you get through all this Pooja.

    1. Wow, I had no idea you go through a “second puberty” at 25 but I have definitely been experiences a lot of changes.
      Thanks so much.

  13. love the quote Pooja and so true!
How cool your mom saw your piece..
your foot? Ok see you said you were getting old and now you joined the crowd. Feel better soon! ❣️

  14. Quote counter-point: “If you ain’t first, you’re last.” – Reese Bobby

I love Pedro Pascal. I’m really happy that things have gone so well for him since the abrupt end to his run on Game of Thrones.

    1. Yes, I love Pedro’s acting. He’s doing a great job on everything he’s on. Really enjoyed that quote too although I don’t know if I agree lol.

  15. I have seen previews of that show, but I haven’t had a chance to watch it because I work so much. Today, I am going to relax, chill, and clear my head. I may write a little later, but for now I am going to chill. Have a great weekend.
