Peppertree Kenya Review And Experience

Peppertree Kenya Review

A few weeks ago, I was able to visit a restaurant in Nairobi called Peppertree. I went with my bestie and we had such a fantastic time I wanted to share that experience with you guys. Here is my Peppertree Kenya review. Hope you enjoy it!

The Ambience

As soon as we walked in the front door, we absolutely loved it. There is this beautiful mural which goes so well with the vibe of the whole place. It was really lovely and the artist did a wonderful job with it.

This was downstairs and opposite their bar. We had to go upstairs to the restaurant for dinner so we kept going and the site that greeted us when we arrived was fabulous. There were so many beautiful plants hanging from the ceiling and it was so well decorated. It really was a lovely place.

The Food And Drinks

We didn’t order much because we weren’t sure whether we would like this food or not since it was our first time there. We started with drinks. I had the Vietnamese coffee and Dentmistry had the lemon and ginger tea. We loved both. She was unfortunately suffering from some allergies but the tea really helped her with it and she even got some more to go.

For dinner, we ordered some chili mushroom skewers (that’s not a typo that’s how it’s spelt in the menu) and some fries because I mean it’s fries. Who doesn’t love potatoes?? They were both amazing and the mushrooms in particular were so simple but flavourful. Plus, they were really filling.

The Afterparty

We enjoyed the food and drinks and talked for a little while. And we felt like we didn’t want to end the night just yet so we decided to drop by Urban Eatery which is right next door. We walked to it and I ended up getting some peppermint tea since I was still a little thirsty. It was yum and we took a few pictures because the ambience here was great too!

Overall

Overall, we had an amazing time. I can safely say that good company, good food and good drinks are all you need to make you truly happy. And on this night I had the pleasure of all three. I would highly recommend checking out Peppertree Kenya if you are ever in Nairobi. Especially if you are vegan because their vegan options are really good. As for Urban Eatery, I’ve tried their food and I can’t recommend it. The ambience is great though so it may be the perfect place for a coffee date instead of a meal.

  23. Nairobi looks nice from the posts I’ve seen. I don’t know anything about it other than it being a city in Kenya 😄. It’s been a while since I’ve gone out and had *good* food, I’ve fallen into a bad habit of ordering delivery a lot and the choices by me are pretty underwhelming. You’re making me went to get back out there though!

    1. Lol, now you know slightly more about. It has great food options too 😅
I don’t like ordering in because I feel like food tastes better when it’s just made and like you said the choices can be underwhelming. And I get sick of ordering the same stuff. Go out and get some yummy food!

  24. Hey Pooja! Long time no type. Ahh, I’m so glad to return to reading your blogs! How are you doing? Since I last dropped by on Lifesfinewhine I went to see beautiful Kenya for myself. I spent two weeks in Mombasa. I’m glad you had a lovely time with your friend. If I could go to Kenya again, I’d stop in Nairobi and love to pay a visit here!

    1. Hey, so happy to see your comment! I’ve been good and hope you have too. Mombasa is lovely but I have to admit I very much prefer Nairobi. I think you’ll love it here if you decide to visit, there are so many fun places to try. And this definitely should be one of them!

      1. Aww I’d love nothing more!

  25. This is a nice article review and recommendation. I’ll soon visit and check it out myself too. Thanks for the enlightenment.

    1. Thanks and let me know if you have a good time there too.

      1. I sure will.

  26. Great review. The place does look fabulous and the food sounds delicious. Yes, who can say no to fries?!

  30. Peppertree looks like a cool place to hang out. That coffee looks delicious too.

    1. It was really great, we had a wonderful time.

  31. Thanks for liking my post, Pooja! I spent a year in Nairobi, probably before you were born! I love Africa. Thanks for taking me back there.

    1. Wow, that’s great. Nairobi has changed a lot and it’s even better now!

  32. This sure sounds like a lovely place with delicious food! Thanks for sharing!

    1. Thank you, it was absolutely amazing!

  33. Place looked nice but those portions! Man, I would be hungry after 🤣.

    1. Lol! We both usually have very light dinners so we were okay 😅

  34. That mural was beautiful. Great pics of you both too.

    1. Thank you so much, yes it was lovely.

  35. You look soooooo cute. Love your pictures. Is she your best friend who went to medical school? Love those old friends with whom we grew up together. I know I was not a good friend since I was so sulky, but if I have another chance to be with my old friends again, I would confess of my being a narcissistic victim and apologize for my sulkiness, which was really not my fault. And please cherish this fantastic time you have…

    1. Thank you so much. Yes, she is my bestie who’s a doctor now. I don’t think I was always a good friend but I tried hard to be. And I understand why you were like that with your childhood friends, victims of narcissists find it difficult to socialise with normal people and don’t have certain communication skills.
