Peppertree Kenya Review
A few weeks ago, I was able to visit a restaurant in Nairobi called Peppertree. I went with my bestie and we had such a fantastic time I wanted to share that experience with you guys. Here is my Peppertree Kenya review. Hope you enjoy it!
The Ambience
As soon as we walked in the front door, we absolutely loved it. There is this beautiful mural which goes so well with the vibe of the whole place. It was really lovely and the artist did a wonderful job with it.
This was downstairs and opposite their bar. We had to go upstairs to the restaurant for dinner so we kept going and the site that greeted us when we arrived was fabulous. There were so many beautiful plants hanging from the ceiling and it was so well decorated. It really was a lovely place.
The Food And Drinks
We didn’t order much because we weren’t sure whether we would like this food or not since it was our first time there. We started with drinks. I had the Vietnamese coffee and Dentmistry had the lemon and ginger tea. We loved both. She was unfortunately suffering from some allergies but the tea really helped her with it and she even got some more to go.
For dinner, we ordered some chili mushroom skewers (that’s not a typo that’s how it’s spelt in the menu) and some fries because I mean it’s fries. Who doesn’t love potatoes?? They were both amazing and the mushrooms in particular were so simple but flavourful. Plus, they were really filling.
The Afterparty
We enjoyed the food and drinks and talked for a little while. And we felt like we didn’t want to end the night just yet so we decided to drop by Urban Eatery which is right next door. We walked to it and I ended up getting some peppermint tea since I was still a little thirsty. It was yum and we took a few pictures because the ambience here was great too!
Overall
Overall, we had an amazing time. I can safely say that good company, good food and good drinks are all you need to make you truly happy. And on this night I had the pleasure of all three. I would highly recommend checking out Peppertree Kenya if you are ever in Nairobi. Especially if you are vegan because their vegan options are really good. As for Urban Eatery, I’ve tried their food and I can’t recommend it. The ambience is great though so it may be the perfect place for a coffee date instead of a meal.
