Rosa Parks Quote

Rosa Parks Quote:

Rosa Parks Quote

‘Sup With Me?

I was going to share something with you guys today and I was so excited about it. I remember thinking, I’ll write about that on Monday. And then I totally forgot what it was. Like I have no clue whatsoever. I guess this is a sign that I’m getting older…

So this I do remember, I wanted to share some news with you guys. One of my favourite bloggers, Cindy from Unique Times is publishing a book soon! I am hoping to review it soon but until then I just wanted to say congratulations to her. This is such a well deserved achievement for her and I am so excited! Do check out her cover reveal if you haven’t already and consider buying the book. It’s about life and self-care which I know many of you are interested in. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the book.

Anyway, for those of you that don’t know, I’m a history major. Which means I learnt about activists like Rosa Parks a lot. And she’s definitely one of the more known activists. If you haven’t had the privilege of reading about her and everything she did for the civil rights movement, I would really recommend reading up on her. You can read more about her by clicking here.

What did you think of this weeks quote? What are your plans for the week? How have you been recently? Let me know in the comments below because I would love to hear from you. Or simply stop by and say hi!

  1. Beautiful quote indeed! Fear only lingers as long as we are indecisive. Once we’ve made up our mind, fear vanishes as if were never there. I think this quote resonates with Rosa’s own real life struggle. She conquered her fears and became a prominent human rights champion.

  2. Cindy’s upcoming book Recreate And Celebrate also appears to be interesting from the cover reveal and the brief intro she has given. I hope it will live up to the expectations as she has put in years into writing this book. I will also be waiting for your review of this self help book.
Thanks for sharing the quote and book teaser.

  3. Great Read Can i leave my thoughts ?! –

  4. Oh I love Rosa Parks Pooja! She was quite a remarkable woman.
Thank you so very much for your wishes which mean the world to me. It has been a labor of love and I’m so honored you shared my book with your followers. I’m so grateful to you and I can’t wait to hear your review. 💞💗🙏🏼

      1. 🙌🏽
Yes, it’s my book baby and I’ve put all of my heart into it with the hope that it can help others live their best lives too!
I’m grateful to you truly on so many levels!
        🙏🏼

  5. Hi, Pooja!

My plans for the week are as follows: 1. Work on my new story, which as of this comment is in mid-point, with either half or two-thirds of the sixth chapter written. 2. Maintain my sanity whilst drafting the new story.

    That’s pretty much it!

Hope all’s well in your corner of the world!

              1. 1,667 words are definitely better than 500 or, of course, 0 words. I still have not started “work-reading” – I need my coffee, after all – but I think most of the stuff I wrote yesterday is at least usable.

  6. If it were not for Rosa Parks, I believe that things may never have changed, things would still be the same. What she did was for all of us to be able to sit together regardless of the color of someone’s skin.

    1. True, she was one of the people in the forefront of the civil rights movement. Not only with the bus protest but so much more too.

  7. lovely quote with much truth🤍
mindsets are so important and powerful enough to overcome… if we learn how to use it 😁

    Congratulations to Cindy🎉🎉

    Thanks for sharing, Pooja🤍

  8. Hiii Pooja
The quote is so righttt. When your mind is made up, it is made up!
My week is going to be so tight! I have back to back projects and classes🥲 I’m not looking forward to them but I have no choice😪

    1. Heyy, I so agree! When you’re confident about something your anxiety naturally decreases.

Oh wow, that’s a lot. Good luck with your classes 😫

  9. Excellent quote, Pooja and so true! I am very excited for Cindy and feel her book cover is full of energy just like her.

  10. Hi, I really like the quote. To me it speaks of determination. And by the way, memory doesn’t get any better as we age, either! 😂

  11. I am really happy to read about Rosa Parks. Though I have heard bits about ger resistance and activism but your post finally gave me a way to know more about her. Thank you for this!

Also, the quote is definitely inspirational.

  12. Rosa Park is a wonderful model and I have asked myself many times before if I can do what she did, but my conclusion is that I am such a coward and I can never do what she did. I want to have her strength and her fighting spirit.

    1. I don’t think most of us can do what she did. Not just with the bus but with all her protesting. She was a brave woman.
