Rosa Parks Quote:
‘Sup With Me?
I was going to share something with you guys today and I was so excited about it. I remember thinking, I’ll write about that on Monday. And then I totally forgot what it was. Like I have no clue whatsoever. I guess this is a sign that I’m getting older…
So this I do remember, I wanted to share some news with you guys. One of my favourite bloggers, Cindy from Unique Times is publishing a book soon! I am hoping to review it soon but until then I just wanted to say congratulations to her. This is such a well deserved achievement for her and I am so excited! Do check out her cover reveal if you haven’t already and consider buying the book. It’s about life and self-care which I know many of you are interested in. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the book.
Anyway, for those of you that don’t know, I’m a history major. Which means I learnt about activists like Rosa Parks a lot. And she’s definitely one of the more known activists. If you haven’t had the privilege of reading about her and everything she did for the civil rights movement, I would really recommend reading up on her. You can read more about her by clicking here.
What did you think of this weeks quote? What are your plans for the week? How have you been recently? Let me know in the comments below because I would love to hear from you. Or simply stop by and say hi!

Fear thrives on indecision and ignorance. Rosa Parks was correct..
Yes, she was absolutely right.
Beautiful quote indeed! Fear only lingers as long as we are indecisive. Once we’ve made up our mind, fear vanishes as if were never there. I think this quote resonates with Rosa’s own real life struggle. She conquered her fears and became a prominent human rights champion.
Absolutely.
Thanks so much. I think so too, I’m sure she had to conquer a lot of her fears to become the activist she was.
*as if it were never there…
Cindy’s upcoming book Recreate And Celebrate also appears to be interesting from the cover reveal and the brief intro she has given. I hope it will live up to the expectations as she has put in years into writing this book. I will also be waiting for your review of this self help book.
Thanks for sharing the quote and book teaser.
I’ve read it and it definitely lived up to my expectations. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Your recommendation carries a lot of weight. I will read it.
Thanks for sharing this quote 🙏
My pleasure.

Hi, Pooja!
My plans for the week are as follows: 1. Work on my new story, which as of this comment is in mid-point, with either half or two-thirds of the sixth chapter written. 2. Maintain my sanity whilst drafting the new story.
That’s pretty much it!
Hope all’s well in your corner of the world!
Good luck with your writing, stay sane lol!
Yes, all good here.
717 words (out of a target of 1,000) done so far.
My sanity is still intact – for now, anyway.
Woohoo!
1,667 words at the end of my workday. Not all of them might be good when I re-read my work tomorrow, but…I ended a sixth chapter…and on a cliffhanger.
It’s better than nothing and you can probably still use some of that.
1,667 words are definitely better than 500 or, of course, 0 words. I still have not started “work-reading” – I need my coffee, after all – but I think most of the stuff I wrote yesterday is at least usable.
This is spot on. Fear and anxiety comes from indecision.
I absolutely agree, indecision is the root of many anxieties.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
If it were not for Rosa Parks, I believe that things may never have changed, things would still be the same. What she did was for all of us to be able to sit together regardless of the color of someone’s skin.
True, she was one of the people in the forefront of the civil rights movement. Not only with the bus protest but so much more too.
Yes, she was. I wish I could have met her.
Great quote!
Indecision leads to anxiety.
Thank you so much and I very much agree!
I love this, I’ve never seen this quote before and I needed it! Thank you!
Thanks and so glad you enjoyed the quote!
Good morning quote! Thanks for that inspiration 💖
Thank you so much!

Best wishes
Thank you so much! 😊

mindsets are so important and powerful enough to overcome… if we learn how to use it 😁
Congratulations to Cindy🎉🎉
Thanks for sharing, Pooja🤍
Agreed!!! and thanks D! ❣️
always a pleasure, dear Cindy🤍
💗🙏🏼
I so agree, mindset makes a huge difference. Thank you!
… and you are most welcome, Pooja 🤍
reading your blogs are always a delight 🤗
Aw that’s so sweet of you to say 🤗
yes because the moment you have the fire it distinguishes anything on its part including fear
Absolutely, completely agree.
Hiii Pooja
The quote is so righttt. When your mind is made up, it is made up!
My week is going to be so tight! I have back to back projects and classes🥲 I’m not looking forward to them but I have no choice😪
Heyy, I so agree! When you’re confident about something your anxiety naturally decreases.
Oh wow, that’s a lot. Good luck with your classes 😫
Thanks!
You’re so welcome!
Excellent quote, Pooja and so true! I am very excited for Cindy and feel her book cover is full of energy just like her.
I agree.. GREAT quote Eugi!
Aww thanks so much❣️
Most welcome, Cindy!
💗💞
Thanks and I so agree!
Most welcome.
Hi, I really like the quote. To me it speaks of determination. And by the way, memory doesn’t get any better as we age, either! 😂
Glad you enjoyed the quote. Lol, I know I am not looking forward to forgetting everything in a few decades 😅
Don’t worry, your phone will remind you! 😅
😅
I am really happy to read about Rosa Parks. Though I have heard bits about ger resistance and activism but your post finally gave me a way to know more about her. Thank you for this!
Also, the quote is definitely inspirational.
Thanks so much and so glad this post helped you learn more about Rosa Parks.
Rosa Park is a wonderful model and I have asked myself many times before if I can do what she did, but my conclusion is that I am such a coward and I can never do what she did. I want to have her strength and her fighting spirit.
I don’t think most of us can do what she did. Not just with the bus but with all her protesting. She was a brave woman.
Mindset isn’t everything but it’s really close. Great quote.
Congrats to Cindy, too! Her blog / writing is awesome.
I couldn’t agree more. Thanks.
Lovely cover. Did you remember what you wanted to write about after you posted? 🙂
Thanks and no unfortunately I never did remember.
I heard once that indecision is worse than a wrong decision, so nailed it!
That’s absolutely true. I think so many bad decisions stem from indecision.
