Forever And Always

Hold My Hand: The TALK TO ME Trailer Is Here And Scary As Hell | Forever And Always
Source: https://www.fangoria.com/original/hold-my-hand-the-talk-to-me-trailer-is-here-and-scary-as-hell/

He was all I ever wanted. I remember daydreaming about him in high school. Writing his last name with my name and thinking it just looked perfect together. I wanted him more than anything in the world. Those dreamy hazel eyes, that perfect jawline. He was like a Greek God in the flash. But to be fair, I think all the girls felt that way about him.

Well, it’s easy to laugh now that so much time has past since the incident. You see, every morning we walked in hoping to see him there. Making jokes and effortlessly charming those around him. And then one morning he wasn’t there. And soon the police were searching for him. Until they eventually gave up. Now he remains just another unsolved mystery.

My best friend and I still talk about him ten years later, wondering what happened to him and if he was still alive. If only she knew the truth. He had been drunk after a party the night before he “disappeared” and was wondering the streets when I found him. He could have died or worse. Lots of weirdos out there, you know. I helped him get into my car and started driving as he quickly blacked out in the backseat. Seeing him in that vulnerable state, I knew I had to protect him. Not just right now but forever.

I brought him back to my basement and of course at first he was terrified. Begged me to let him go. Yelled till he was hoarse. Thankfully, my mum was never really home. And when she was, she was exhausted and asleep. But eventually he learnt that I loved him and only wanted what was best for him. That him and I were meant to be together. Forever and always.

About “Forever And Always”:

Since it’s Halloween season I thought I would write something horror themed. Not too much, just a simple scary story. Let me know what you think of it in the comments below. Or simply stop by and say hi!

  4. The story drew me in. What happened to him? How did your mother not hear or see him and where was your sister? Is this why you are not dating? So many unanswered questions, lol.

    1. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Lol, I guess we’ll never know.

  5. Creepy story, as it’s supposed to be (uh, right?). This is such a good season for fun fear. Well done!

    1. Haha thanks! 🔪

  8. You had me! Thought it was a real event until the end!

    1. Haha thank you!

  9. When I read the story I played in my head Black, black heart by David Usher. Loved it, still want to know more details…

    1. Thanks so much. Unfortunately you’re going to have to fill in the details with your imagination lol. I’m not good with longer stories and details.

      1. Okay, it works. The song definitely helps

  10. Did you lock him in or just chain him to the wall. 🙂

    1. Well, chained at first but he learnt quite fast… Haha just kidding.

  11. Excellent.. 🙂

    1. Thank you 🙂

  12. Hi Pooja! 🥰 Lol oh my, it started out kinda sweet at first, you got me there- very fitting for this spooky creepy season. I wonder if he would ever break free.. or somehow be discovered & rescued. Your stories are so good and always leave me with wanting to know more 👀♡

    1. Hey! Lol, thank you so much 😊 In my head he breaks free eventually and she’s caught but I left it up to your imagination since each person would prefer a different ending 😌

  13. I love the treatment. Creative storyline

    1. Thank you so much.

  15. 😂 poor guy.

    1. Lol, yup he has some pretty bad luck 😅

  16. I really enjoyed your story , especially liked the twist at the end. It was unexpected .

    1. Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it.

  17. “Lots of weirdos out there, you know” the irony!

    1. Lol, I’m glad you got that. I tried to put a bit of humour in to lightened the story.

  18. Great story! Gave me a visual. What happens next? Is she going to keep him there? Does the mom ever find out? Will the police ever find him? Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.

    1. Thanks so much! I like to leave the ending open so everyone can interpret it their own way. Have a great week too.

  19. 😜😜 loved it. Reminds me of Misery…
There is something to be said for the female psycho. If you want it, you gotta go get it yourself 💪💪
    Wonderful storytelling PoojaG.

    1. I was inspired by Misery. One of my favourites.
Haha true. I actually really enjoy female antagonists. They’re so fun to write/read. Thanks so much 😊

      1. Lol.. it was a good piece of flash fiction Pooja. 💙👏👏

  20. Time you let him out Pooj!!

    1. Lol, maybe next Halloween!

  21. That was a well kept secret…

    1. Yes, some secrets can never come out.

      1. It’s usually better that they don’t, Pooja…

  22. What you did with him? Ate him?

This was a great story, I thought you were narrating an old story of yours, until the last 2 paragraphs!!

    Amazing.

I guess I can expect this theme from you until Halloween 🙂

    1. Lol nope, just kept him there… forever… 😅

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I like to add the twist at the end 😅 Yup, much more of this theme all month 🤭

      1. I enjoyed it!!

        It was really amazing 😍

        Do you celebrate Halloween??

        1. Thanks! I kind of celebrate but not much. We don’t really have a proper Halloween in Kenya. What about you?

          1. No!
Halloween is not a thing in India

Yes there are decoration in shops to sell stuff

There is decoration in food corner to attract customers, but that’s it. They will not actually waste a pumpkin for decoration 😛

            1. Lol, same in Kenya 🎃

  23. I’m sure plenty of boys would pay good money to be trapped in your basement. 😅

    1. Lol I wish, I can always get them in the basement but keeping them there is another thing 😅

    2. Pooja with the creepy vibes.

  24. Awesome story!!

    1. Thank you!

  25. Loved it! ❤️
Spooktober is the official season for dark stories.

    1. Thank you! Yup, it’s that time of the year again 👻🎃

  26. You keep your friends in the basement too!!! How Cool!!! 🤣😎🙃

    1. We have so much in common! 😅🤭

  27. Pooja, this is a stunning piece! You had my attention from beginning to the end. Beautifullly done. Brava!

    1. Thanks so much, so happy to hear that!

      1. You’re most welcome, Pooja.

  28. ❤️❤️ Just Loved it !!!

    1. Thank you so much! 😊

  29. Oh no, what horror: trope reversal.

    1. It’s worse than the kidnapping.

  30. definitely a fitting story for the horror theme, reminds of movie characters who were obsessed and also kept secrets in their own basements

    1. Thanks so much. Like Misery, that movie has a similar plot.

  31. My word, Pooja… I seriously thought you were relating a true event here.. until….the twist came 🤣
    brilliant… twisted but brilliantly so🤣👌

    1. Haha thank you, I was hoping for just that reaction 😅

      1. twisted 😋🤣
great one…. and you welcome. 🤍

  32. Is he still chained up in your basement 🤣? Maybe it’s time to let the poor guy go…forever is a long time 🤣🤣.

    1. Don’t worry, he’s fine 😅😅

  33. Great story! Definitely drew me in.

    1. Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it!

  34. It’s interesting that love can make one hide the the person they love in the basement.😅

    1. Lol, very interesting indeed 😅

  35. Looks like a part 2 conjng soon! 😆

    1. Lol maybe so 😜

  36. I like your short story. It really brings forward the fear that can happen with a disappearance of someone. Whether it is someone you know or it happening to you, so to speak. That’s why we always need to be aware of our surroundings out in public. Because like you said, their are a lot of wierdo’s out there.

    1. Thank you so much. I absolutely agree, there are bad people out there and we need to be really careful.

  37. You’ve got a romantic’s heart. Lol. Great story!

    1. Lol, yes that’s the theme-romance haha.

      1. It’s like the first half of a fairy tale.

        1. And the last half of a horror movie lol 😅

  38. Great story! At first I thought it was a sweet love story…you got me! Lol

    1. Lol, thanks. I love those twists!
