A while back, my sister, cousins and I decided to visit Sarabi Rooftop which is located at Sankara Hotel, Nairobi. We had been meaning to go there for a while because we were looking at pictures of it and it looked so beautiful. I have been to Sankara before but not Sarabi so we were excited about that. Sarabi is named after their chef and is well known for its ambience. Since it’s just a lovely place, I decided to share the experience with you guys. I hope you enjoy my Sarabi Rooftop review and experience.
Sarabi Rooftop Review
The first thing we did was go through the menu and decide on some food and drinks. We decided we would explore and take pictures later because we were all a little hungry. I think we definitely made the right choice because the food actually took quite a while to come. Just a heads up that if you go during a time that they are busy you will have to wait a while for your food. So be prepared for that and go accordingly. We didn’t mind though because we were enjoying the live music and the beautiful view.
My sister and I ended up taking pictures in the bathroom for a while since we were waiting anyway:
My cousin got this cool looking mocktail:
We all ordered one thing to eat. I got the vegan bao buns and they got the garlic bread, the parmesan truffle fries and nachos. Everything was incredibly delicious and I would so recommend coming here at least once.
We listened to the live music while enjoying the food and eventually decided to get some dessert once we were done. We had these amazing raspberry cakes which we shared:
Exploring
Once we were done with the food and drinks, we thought we would take some pictures since Sankara has so much beautiful art.
My outfit for the night was inspired by Phoebe from Friends:
We decided to take a few more pictures outside before leaving:
Overall
We had such a fun time at Sarabi Rooftop. Their staff was excellent, the vibe was great and the food and drinks were so delicious. Although it is on the more pricey side, I think it’s really worth it. I would really recommend going to Sarabi Rooftop if it’s in your budget.
