I’m Just A Busy Bee

photo of woman writing on tablet computer while using laptop | I'm Just A Busy Bee

Well, what can I say. I’ve been a busy bee these days. Between spending much more time with my sister and cousins, much more time writing, and working more, I don’t have as much time left for blogging as I want to have. So, I’ve decided to quit blogging for now… Just kidding. That’s not going to happen. You guys are stuck with me whether you like it or not.

However, I wanted to make this post since I wanted to give everyone a heads-up. I may not be as active on WordPress as I generally am. So, you may not get as many posts a week from me for the next week or two. It’s just that this is my first book and I want to make sure I give it my all. I appreciate your patience till my posting schedule is back to normal.

Oh, and have you guys noticed the changes on WordPress? They’re so annoying. I don’t understand why we can’t see the exact number of followers on the blog on the Reader. And the fact that live chat isn’t there right now. Urgh, I love this platform but it annoys me so much sometimes. I don’t understand why they keep trying to fix things that are not broken but go out of their way to ignore our complaints when there are actual issues that need to be fixed.

Anyway, that’s it from me- the busy bee. How is the start of the new year going for you? Let me know in the comments section located below or simply stop by and say hi!

  1. released right on schedule… 8.01 🙂

    1. Hehe yes, always 🙂

  2. While I am 100% sure you’ll be missed until you can get back on a “normal” schedule, I’m sure everyone is beyond stoked that you are so close on your book. Great job! And a sincere thank you from me for all your support and kind comments!
I haven’t been on WP for long, so I don’t know all the bugs, but I do know the like buttons kinda piss me off sometimes lol

    1. Thanks so much, it feels amazing to make it this far! Thanks so much and hopefully I can continue supporting your blog and those I enjoy even when I take time off. It’s always just nice to read other peoples posts.
Oh yeah, I’ve been kicked off WP before because of arguing about the like button lol.

      1. I don’t know if I’ll die on the like button hill, but it is certainly annoying at times! lol
The time off is well-deserved. We’ll be here when you have time. Or at least I plan to be!

        1. Yeah, not the hill you wanna die on lol. For me, it was a bunch of stuff and this was the last straw.

          Thanks so much!

  3. Congratulations on your book.

    1. Thanks so much.

        1. Thanks so much!!

  4. Yea, omg the WordPress system be kicking my butt too. You were unto something when I went to Business Plan, and my whole life changed. Premium was just fine. The business Plan takes away a great deal, puts in you more of a manual mode than automatic. It’s rough. The Business Plan a great add, but some of the transparency is gone.

    1. It’s literally just getting worse every few months. WP is so not user friendly anymore. Yeah, it’s the best plan in my opinion but that’s definitely one of the issues.

  5. I sometimes feel like I’m riding a dead horse blogging in general and WordPress especially..but like you…I think I will be here until I kick off for parts unknown:) Congrats on your upcoming book !

    1. I know what you mean, I’m here till it’s no longer fun for me. Thanks so much 🙂

  6. Best wishes for your book, Pooja! I’ll be here when you get back. I like being stuck with you. 👍🏻

    1. Thank you so much, aw that’s sweet of you to say!

      1. ❤️☺️

  7. Completely understandable! I’m excited to see your first book completed … Hope you can find time to absorb these amazing accomplishments! Congratulations! <3

    1. Thank you so much, I’m trying to do just that!

  8. I totally get where you are coming from… life just seems like the pace never lets up. I guess it won’t. I feel like I may need to take a little blogging break soon, just to catch up as it feels like blogging plus keeping up with all the blogs I follow, takes up a lot of time. I enjoy it, though there are aother thigs to do too… as you know too well.

    1. Yup, life always gets so busy. It’s always busy no matter how much we try to relax sometimes. True, blogging is more time consuming than people realise.

      1. True dat!

  9. Good on you Pooja for focusing on the things that are most important to you. Good luck with the book. 💕📚

    1. Thank you so much, appreciate your wishes 💕

  10. Have a cold right now. It’s not horrible, as I have my Ningxia and my oils and supplements. It’s more annoying that anything. Also the fact that I could pass for a bass with my singing voice! Argh!

    1. Oh no, feel better soon and hope your voice gets back to normal quickly!

        1. You’re very welcome.

  11. Best wishes dear

    1. Thanks so much.

  12. You’re stuck with us being your readers too, muahah. 😌❤️ That’s understandable, publishing a book is hard work and I’ve heard there’s so many things to do! But yaaay, I’m wishing you the best in all of the processes you still have to complete for your first book. That is incredible and exciting! ✨

    1. Aww, haha thank you ❤️ Absolutely, I feel like the editing etc is harder than actually writing the book. Definitely exciting, thank you 💕

  13. Make sure you make some Pooja time too.

I guess you never heard the programmer’s creed: If it ain’t broke, update it until it breaks then blame the customer for not providing feedback on what they wanted.

A related creed is for IT: If it ain’t broke update it until it breaks then roll back once.

Maybe they are updating their skills so they can work for the major software companies. 😀

Good luck with the work on your book.

    1. Thank you. I’m actually taking the day off tomorrow to just relax and not think about the book for a day.

      Lol, that’s definitely WP’s motto.

  14. Keep producing that honey busy bee 🙂

    1. Thanks so much 🙂

  15. WordPress is incredibly annoying!! Change for changes sake.
I’ve just started writing my Beatles book – I’ve got a contract to write a book on the Beatle White album. That should keep me busy!

    1. It is, why make these unneeded changes!

      Wow, that’s amazing. Congratulations!

  16. Happy writing, and good luck as you enter the final stages of your project. 👏👏👏

    1. Thanks so much, I need all the luck I can get 🥰

  17. I stumbled upon your engaging post on the WordPress feed and couldn’t resist sending a quick greeting your way!

Your writing has piqued my interest, and I’m eager to explore your future posts!

Despite my search for the follow button proving fruitless, I’ve taken the initiative to bookmark your blog for future enjoyment!

Consider me a dedicated reader, eagerly awaiting your next compelling piece of content!

      Thanks so much 🤗

  19. We will be looking forward to reading your posts when ever you write

    1. Thank you so much, I’ll still be posting but just less often 😊

      1. 👍🏼🩷🙏🏼

  20. we are grateful for anything that leaves your pen, Pooja… good luck with the book!

    1. Thanks so much, that’s so kind of you to say!

  21. Good luck with the book Pooja. See you on WP when you’re back 😊

    1. Thanks so much, I’ll still be posting but just less often 😊

  22. Thanks for the heads up. Appreciate that.
I know my “email a happiness engineer” option wasn’t available to me for almost a week last week, but that has come back. Hopefully the live chat option will return to you as well.

But yeah, they keep breaking things and it’s not good.

    1. Yeah, it’s annoying when they shut off the options right after rolling out a new update that causes multiple glitches.

      1. Ahhh, is THAT why they shut it off for a while? Thanks. I thought things were just broken again. But that makes more sense. Wouldn’t want to hear all the complaints from the plebes after all…

        1. Yeah, I’ve noticed that they conveniently shut off the live chat option whenever there’s a glitch after an update. I think they’re usually working on it in private and don’t want to deal with us lol.

  23. they took the follower number away months ago
it is still free so see to be
buch ok but hey what now?
    lmao~

    1. Lol, we just have to live with the updates as we have no say in the matter.

      1. shattered cos we liked the old way more better. fo sho.

        1. Yup, it was much better.

  24. Hmm, I’ve noticed some WordPress things, too, though the issues I see now are not as important as the ones you see. Actually, I didn’t know there was a “live chat” feature. I’ve been trying to use the “Verse” format for, well, verse; and along with the many subtleties I have to control as options, I’ve found that hyperlinks won’t load as links. At least not when downloading and proofreading from my end. It’s a small thing. It adds up with other small things. Making books takes time. I’m glad you’re going to take the time it takes.

    1. Yeah, it’s annoying because like you said those small things add up. One or two glitches you can live with but when it’s constant it’s so frustrating. Thankfully, the live chat option is back now. Yeah, the verse issue is annoying and the Reader often distorts the format of poems.

Thanks so much, it’s something I wanted to really concentrate on as it’s my first book.

Hope you have a productive time while away. Best wishes!

    1. Thank you so much!

  26. Best wishes on your new book, Pooja. WordPress has been most frustrating recently. I chatted with the HEs the other day and they were able to help clear up some issues but not all. Keep us in the loop, my friend. 💖

    1. Thanks so much. True, so many glitches recently but I’m glad the HE’s were able to clear up at least some of yours. Some are quite helpful these days 💕

      1. You’re welcome, Pooja! 💖

  27. Ngl… you had me in the first half.

All the best with your book. I look forward to reading it.

    1. Haha, thanks so much 😊

  28. All the best with book… 🥳🥳🥳
Oh my word, WordPress can be super annoying with its sneaky changes.
anyhoo compliments of the new year
    ~B

    1. Thanks so much 😊

Yeah, I hate that WP never gives us a heads-up with the changes or at least tests them first so they don’t cause so many glitches.

      Have a great 2024 🥳

  29. Kudos on dedicating time to your first book; that’s a huge milestone.

    1. Thanks so much, yes it’s so big for me to finally have a book ready so I really want to give it my all.

      1. All the best

        1. Thank you.

  30. That’s so exciting that you are writing a book!

    1. Yeah, I’m so excited about it!

  31. Well done for your commitment to your first book. May the lord grant you the wisdom to succeed in your endeavour!

    1. Thank you so much!

      1. You’re welcome

  32. Take the time you need Pooja. Writing and editing does take a lot of time along with the rest of life. So looking forward to getting your book.

    1. Thanks so much. Yes, it’s so much work.

  33. I agree too many changes. Let it be. 🙂

    1. Absolutely, if it’s not broken stop trying to fix it.

  34. All the best with your buzzing and good luck on the book🤣.

    1. Haha, thanks so much 😝

  35. Good luck with your first book!! It’s great that you are jumping into the new year and giving it your all. You go, girl!!

    1. Thank you so much!

  36. We’ll never be able to quit even if we only post once a month, haha. I follow some people who post twice a year. Then I forget who they are and have to read their past posts to remind myself, so they get some more views out of me. 😅
The things keeping you busy all sound like great things! It’s great you have family you are close with; I kind of wish I was closer with my siblings and cousins, but several of them are kinda bad people now so maybe not lol.

    1. Lol yeah, we’re stuck here for good 😅

Thanks so much! I’m only close to my sister and two cousins because the rest of them aren’t the best but I’m grateful I at least have three family members I’m close to.

  37. I want to say that you are a wonderful writer. Good job girl 👏👏👏👏💯💯💯🧿🥰🤗

    1. Thanks so much! 😊

      1. 😊🙏🙏🙏🥰🤗🤗

  38. Writing a book is quite the journey
