Slowly But Surely Recovering
I wanted to start this post by saying thank you for all the wonderful get well soon wishes on my last post. I am slowly but surely recovering. This isn’t the worst cold I’ve ever had but it was still bad enough that I spent a couple of days in bed barely able to do anything. I almost fainted a couple of times too but that always happens when I take antibiotics so I’m not surprised.

For the most part, I just slept and I think that helped with my recovery.
Something Weird
But something super weird also happened to me during the height of my illness. My imagination literally just stopped working. I’m someone who daydreams a lot and also I’m a visual thinker. Not being able to picture anything in my head for like three or four days was terrifying. As a writer, my imagination is my main thing. Without it, I’m just another brown girl called Pooja. I would sort of force myself to daydream or use my imagination but my mind was just so empty and blanks.
Has anything like that ever happened to you guys? This was a first for me and I hope it never happens again. Life is awful in the real world without my daydreams.
I also had an odd dream about Kanye West and his girlfriend. And another one about my old house and still being in high school. Cough syrup dreams are wild…
