Oscar Wilde Quote:
What’s Up With Pooj?
I absolutely love this Oscar Wilde quote, one of my favourites. Life is such an incredibly complicated thing and taking it too seriously is the best way to assure that you are miserable your entire life. Life exists to be lived, not figured out or planned or even scheduled. At least that is my belief.
Not much is up with me because I am in the final editing stage of my book which requires a lot of my time and energy. However, I am hoping all the hard work will be worth it. I will be taking a break from it all over Easter though because no matter what our mind and body deserves a break too. Hopefully, that break will leave me feeling more ready to get back into it.
In other news, remember when I mentioned that someone stole my content recently? Well, despite reporting it to WP it’s still not been taken down. I wish WordPress would do better when it comes to stuff like this. It’s really frustrating to bloggers when this platform doesn’t have our back. Which these days is most of the time.
What I’m Listening To This Week:

My favourite is… “…let each man kill that for which he so loveth best; a coward with a kiss, and a brave man with a sword…”
That is an excellent quote, thanks so much for sharing it.
Hey, Pooj.
Currently, I’m waiting for Amazon’s KDP to let me know if the paperback edition of Reunion: Coda is “live” or,ugh, if it ran into problems like it did in the wee hours of the morning. Last night (while I slept), KDP emailed to let me know the hardcover edition was published. I found out this morning (at shortly after 5), along with the news that no, your paperback still needs some fixes before we can publish it. So…a day for cheers and (virtual) tears.
As to what I’m listening to? Musically?
“Kiri Sings Kern”
“Superman: Music Composed and Conducted by John Williams”
Good luck with that last-mile editing!
Ooh I see. I think I saw you posted that it’s up now?
It’s live now (on April 17). It wasn’t when I wrote my comment on the 14th, though.
All three editions are now available worldwide. I know you bought the Kindle edition. Thanks!
Oh great, glad to hear they’re all up now!
Great post, great quote
Thank you, glad you liked the quote.
Good luck 🙌💕😘
Thank you ☺️
Drat, the plagiarized stuff should be down by now (be down before). It’s not frustration only; it’s a crime. On another hand, I find Oscar Wilde delightedly and meaningfully quotable. I often think, for whatever reason, of his saying (through a character in a play) that to lose one parent is tragic, to lose two parents is irresponsible. Life definitely is important not to take (so) seriously. There’s health and there can be humor in living–and talking–life and the bearing of it. Which might be to say, be easy in discussing life because, well, we’re all here. Thanks, Pooja–and I hope your week is off to a good (serious, not too serious) start.
Yes, it’s definitely not legal to steal content but not much can be done about it by me. WP needs to take responsibility.
Glad you enjoyed the quote. Oscar Wilde definitely had a way with words. Exactly, I think we need to accept life as it is and not take it so seriously. Thank you so much.
Hey Pooj, great quote. Life is not to be taken seriously and it helps to know that it’s unfair but fortunately short. No time to sit around!
Last week was super busy, which means no time to think about sad things in life. This week I’m going to pick up my new glasses and look at things thru a totally different lens.
Plus, we are getting together for an egg painting tea party, ambitious and artistic, haha
It’s definitely unfair at times but it’s best to let go of what we can’t control and not take life too seriously.
Oh I see, hopefully you’ve gotten the glasses by now and can see well with them.
That is pretty true, it really is far from being important
Yes, we put too much importance on something that should rather be experienced.
Even in the most difficult times you can always find something to be grateful for.
Yes, absolutely.
true words … (now if only we can remember them when most needed 🤦♀️)
all the best with your book, Pooja…🤍
Haha so true. Thanks so much 💕
Great quote, brilliant writer. ✨ Best wishes with the final edits. It will all be worth it! Enjoy the Eater holiday.
Glad you enjoyed the quote and thank you so much! Have a lovely Easter too 😊
🙏🌹

Yes it is very difficult to plan life. It is full of surprises good and bad. You have to live it while you still can.
Yeah, it’s quite unexpected at most times so it’s best to focus on the present.
You’re right, Pooja, and the route is spot on.
Sometimes, we just have to flow with life and not try to figure it out. Flowing with it is the best way to figure out.
Thank you so much. Absolutely, focusing on the present helps us do that. It’s best not to worry too much about the future we have no control over.
I hope Wp takes takes your request seriously. We own the content we write & share!
Last week was definitely not good for me. Something happened within family which triggered my anxiety. Despite not being solely responsible I choose to punish myself. Whenever I get angry I delete one or two online service. That’s why way to react!
I wanted to delete the blog but choose to delete post instead. Like you say so many good things publicly but in real life – which involves you & your family – things only get worse.
My parents never had a healthy relationship. They verbally fight, argue, and use their frustration on me & my brother. Having mentally unstable parents (stress, anxiety, and physical health) can cause you anxiety often (because you do care & get affected).
I don’t have any friend! No real friends at school and college. Shockingly I often go through suicidal thoughts.
“Emotionally people remain available. No talks & communication. But they demand everything- job, resources, responsibility, making them proud, and anything.”
This blogosphere is the only place where I feel included, open, and comfortable. I don’t relate (not interested) to what my college friends talk inside the WhatsApp group. I don’t want to use Insta.
I hope to secure an offline job in the academic field. Standing up and living with your morals & values is better than being a part of an uncontrolled crowd(they turn violent you get violent, they complain you complain, they get corrupt you get corrupt, they steal you steal).
Sometimes, I think I’m not fit for this world or this world is not fit for me. Then you compromise. On what terms and for what?
(In general I’m okay. I’m good, healthy and stable. I have made progress throughout my life. I still aspire to learn more. I’m hopeful!❤️)
I’m so sorry to hear that. It must have been really difficult for you especially when you were younger. And the problem is when we grow up in that sort of dysfunction we don’t learn to properly regulate our emotions. I hope you feel better soon, try to stay strong and focus on self-care and other things that will better your mental health.

Yes, we must learn to admire the beauty around us and break the rules if that means we find happiness. Societal rules are made to be broken.
Like these posts about life.
Didn’t know you’re working on your book, I obviously missed a lot! Great job, really.
We can learn a lot from you and can only admire you.
Thank you so much. Yes, I’ve been working on it for a few months now and almost done!
Grrrr. . . . Your content should be honored and WP needs to step up. That’s just not right.
But glad you’re having a sense of humor through it all! (Immeasurably important!). And best of luck with the new book!! ❤
Absolutely, I expect them to protect my content and still they’ve done nothing about the stolen post. Thank you so much!
I love the quote. I have probably been planning way too much and not enough doing. Glad to hear your book is in the final edit stage. Happy Easter.
Thank you so much. Planning is great but we have to get started on doing too. I kind of have the same issues tbh lol. Happy Easter to you as well.
The fact that WP hasn’t dealt with the dmca take down yet shows just how understaffed they are. When they can’t fulfill their legal obligations, that is really bad.
Yeah, I think they’ve been severely understaffed for a while now which is also why the customer care has gotten so awful.
Great quote for a great post!
Thank you!
Oscar Wilde is far too flippant for me to comment on! Hope the editing goes well.
Haha that’s fair. Thank you!

Yup, I always say.
I love this quote and I enjoy most of Oscar Wilde’s quotes. I can’t believe you haven’t received any help regarding the plagiarism. I am still having browser issues. I deleted and reinstalled Vivaldi hoping it would resolve my problem. The only other browser on my computer that works well with WordPress is Google Chrome. Sigh.
Oscar Wilde is so fascinating to me as are his quotes. Yes, it’s so disappointing they have still not taken down the post that was stolen. But there’s not much I can do about it on my end other than report it.
Oh no sorry about that, hope the issue is fixed now.
I agree we can take ourselves too seriously, a hard habit to break.
I love your quote, “life exists to be lived, not figured out or planned, or even scheduled.”
Yes, as humans we take life so seriously and are constantly worrying about things we have no control over. Thank you!
It is very appropriate. Taking life seriously is too stressful. I like to approach my world with humor. A smile can go a long way in a much-too-serious world. ♡
Yes, taking life too seriously is what makes life difficult when it shouldn’t be. Humour is the best, it keeps us happy and those around us happy too 😊
Love the quote. And I live by it. If you read what I write, I don’t talk seriously about anything. Especially life!! 🤣😎🙃
Thank you and I think that’s the best way to live! 😅
I’m so sorry I missed the post about stolen content. Can you include the link in a future post? This is disturbing that WP isn’t cooperating. On the most positive note, I had no idea that you were writing a second book already. This is a huge accomplishment, Pooja! I hope it is going well. You work hard and deserve good things to come your way. 😊
Yes, I’ll add the link in a post next week in case you want to read it. It’s definitely really disappointing. As a platform, it’s up to WP to look out for its users and take down plagiarised content. The stolen content is still up and it’s been weeks since I reported it.
Thank you, I’ve been working on the second book for over a year now and really excited to finish it! 😊
Love that Oscar Wilde quote, Pooja! I hope WP takes some action soon!
Thank you! So far nothing from WP but fingers crossed it gets taken down soon.
Well I’ll say that I think your belief is beautifully spot on! And also, you already know deep down that all of that hard work is going to be so dang worth it! 😉 I believe that you’re going to kick so much booty on it! 💪
Thank you so much! Fingers crossed I have a bestseller on my hands lol 😂
Sorry about your content being stolen. Life is best worn as a loose garment at times
Thank you and totally agree about life.
I like this quote very much. Take care.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the quote.
