Tell A Friend To Tell A Friend…

She baaaackkkk!

Shes Back GIFs | G Tell A Friend To Tell A Friend...

That’s right y’all! I am officially back blogging as I usually do (randomly and inconsistently for the most part lol). I’m really glad I took May off, I think I needed it. And I feel like I’m back feeling more refreshed and with lots more ideas. I actually have some posts that I had written ages ago but never shared that I wanted to share next month. But I also have lots of fun news posts too so be on the lookout for those.

Other than that, since we last spoke (read?), I actually got a haircut which was my first one since I shaved my head. My hair grew back pretty curly so finding a style that suited both curly and straight hair was fun. In the end, I look like Justin Bieber in the 2010’s lol:

Tell A Friend To Tell A Friend
Me atm…

I don’t mind it though, it’s very low maintenance.

Overall, it’s been tough for my mental health because I’m still dealing with a narcissist and learning to set boundaries which can take a toll. But I’m getting better, which I count as a win!

Oh and lots of book reviews to come this week so be on the lookout for those if you like reviews!

What have you guys been up to in my absence? Fill me in on all the latest WP goss! What did I miss? Let me know in the comments below because you know I’ve missed you guys like crazy. Or simply stop by and say hi!

  5. Hey Pooj, we have to see your new look.
We are finishing up the school year, getting ready for summer camping, road tripping and concerts going. I forgot to mention art making and cake baking, haha… living the dream…

    1. Will share pics next week when it’s styled lol. Oh wow, so much going on in summer. I’m sure you’ll have a great time.

      1. I’m honestly hoping for more events such as travel

        1. Fingers crossed you can do some travel.

  6. Good for you, sometimes we need time off to be able to regroup. Yes, dealing with a narcissist is exhausting. Remember you can’t win with them, for they’re always the victim and shift blame expertly. Best to minimize your dealings with them. Hoping for an emotionally healthy or even a fair relationship with them is mission impossible, they’re just not wired that way. No, they don’t change, nor do they see the need to. Keep the focus on your own mental and physical health.

    1. Absolutely agree, time off is so important otherwise we’ll end up burnt out. Thanks so much, I agree boundaries are the only way. They never change or even care who they hurt.

  7. I’m glad that you are back, Pooj! ❤️

    1. Thank you 🙏☺️

  16. Good to see you back. I had also taken a break; you come back feeling so refreshed. I’m sorry about the narc, boundary setting as you said is the way to go especially if they’re unavoidable.

Hoping to see more from you in the coming weeks ☀️

    1. Thank you so much. Breaks are definitely important, you really do end up so much more refreshed and enthusiastic. Yes, boundaries are all we can do as they rarely change.

  18. Welcome back Pooja. You’ve been missed.

    1. Thank you so much, I’ve missed everyone here too.

  19. Welcome back! Glad to hear you are feeling refreshed. I have not done much blogging lately either, but neither has Shakespeare. (stolen and modified from a postcard that I have, lol) The weather has been cooperating for the most part so, I did get most of my April outside to-do list done and starting my list for May.

    1. Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying the weather and lol that’s true. Have a great and productive summer.

  20. Hey yoh Pooj! Well, erm, I finally decided to open up on my blog about my dad’s recent stroke, and how I’m not officially stepping up as the sole provider at home. As you can imagine, living in a developed nation only makes it even more challenging.

My last round of technical job interview still hasn’t been followed with a response, so I’m not sure if they want to proceed to the next round or not.

Right now, I’m feeling very hungry because I’m broke, but I am also feeling really motivated because I just closed a new freelance gig (first one since I’ve made the decision to reenter the industry in 2002, and the first one since I left the industry in 2019). Well, my last freelance gig was in 2018.

So, now, I’m just waiting with anticipation for the client to make that upfront payment, and then I can finally stop skipping my lunches.

    1. Hey! I’m so sorry to hear about that. Actually, my dad suffered from two strokes earlier this year too so I can really relate. It’s so difficult when a parent is unwell and there’s a lot of pressure to step up too. I’m so sorry you’ve been dealing with all that and I truly hope things get better and you get more freelancing opportunities.

      1. I’m truly sorry to know about your father’s recent stroke as well. Yeah, it has been quite tough. Well, counting my blessings, the first of my freelance payments are finally in. The deposit came in last night after I had gone to bed. $400. It know its not much, when you consider the challenge that I am facing now. But it is still something I am thankful for.

        1. I’m glad you got the $400 and every amount helps.

  21. Welcome back Pooja. I’ve been in Paris and have been missing in action too for some time.

    1. Wow, hope you had a lovely time in Paris. Thanks so much and welcome back too.

    1. Thank you so much.

  22. This is my 100th rebirth.
Earlier I died my 99 lives.

I have no idea – what exactly I did and why.
I do want to reduce my screentime. So I’ll be less active I guess.

I have to attend two exams in June and finished another one Sunday.
    Busy time, high hopes.

    1. Yeah, having boundaries with screen time helps. Good luck with your exams, all the best.

  23. Welcome back 🙂

    1. Thank you 🙂

  24. Good to have you back, ♥️Pooja ♥️😊💐

    1. Thank you, happy to be back 😊❤️

  25. Welcome back Pooja. 🙂

    1. Thank you so much 🙂

  26. I like book reviews, so bring them on! 😀

    1. Yay, hopefully you’ll enjoy these 😃

  27. >welcome back Girl!

  28. Glad to have you back, Pooja.

    1. Very glad to be back.

  29. Welcome back Pooj!

  30. Welcome back friend! Short haircuts are so much easier to deal with 🙂

    1. Thank you! Oh absolutely, I love only taking a few minutes to wash and style it 🙂

    Glad you enjoyed your break!

  32. Hi! Glad you and your hair are back. Yuck on the ongoing struggles with the narcissist. It’s hard to set boundaries while being pressured not to. So good work on you. Can’t think of anything momentous from my May. I think that might be when some haiku of mine were published (could have been April), so that’s good. Actually, I’m quite pleased. Looking forward to your reviews.

    1. Thank you! Yeah, I remember reading that some of your haiku’s were published in an anthology. That may have been April though. Anyway, have a wonderful June and summer.

  33. I’m glad you’re back, Pooja. I so need a break, but I don’t know the best time to take it. Furthermore, I usually take a break in the fall, but that seems a long ways off.

    1. Thank you! Maybe a couple of days off in summer will help. Even if it’s just a day or two. Breaks are so necessary.

      1. You’re welcome! Yes, breaks help rejuvenate our creativity. I’ll get there, hopefully.

  34. Welcome back, Pooja.

    1. Thank you so much. 😊

      1. You’re welcome.

  35. Yay! I’m so freaking glad you’re back! Obviously I always love me some long hair, but shorter hair is so much better in terms of maintenance like you said. 👍

    1. Thanks so much! I used to have hair so long it reached my butt lol but this is so much easier to maintain 😅

      1. Oh my gosh! You gotta tell me more sometime about how insane that was to maintain! That’s awesome! 😅 And you’re of course very welcome! 💕

        1. Being Indian helps lol 😂 Ooh and clove + rosemary water it helps your hair grow so fast!

          1. Well that has now been typed into my notes! I never expected to learn that today! Yay! 😊😁

            1. I heard it from someone online too and was pleasantly surprised by how fast my hair began to grow with it!

  36. Welcome back Pooja! So glad to have you back. ✨

    1. Thank you so much!! 😊

  37. Glad you’re back, Pooja, and I hope you continue to feel better. Your hair sounds cute too! 💕

    1. Thank you so much, happy to be back! 💕

  38. Welcome backkkkkk
Glad to have you back on my reader!
I’ve been trying my best to write as well. Also, I’m in my final semester of Uni so I’m trying not to overwhelm myself cause school is already a lot AND I also got a content writing job as well which is something I’ve been praying for for a while cause I need a little something in my bank account to sustain me right now. I think that’s it!
    Hope you’ve been well
And yay! On the new haircut

    1. Thank you so much! Wow, you’ve definitely got a lot going on at the moment. Wishing you the best with uni, the final semester is always the most stressful but you’ll get through it. And yay for the writing job, that’s great!

  39. Good to see you post again. Haircut? Do you have a picture?

    1. Thanks so much. Will share the new haircut next week when it’s properly styled haha.

  40. Always good to take a pause and review our life isn’t it. Sorry you are dealing with some unpleasant situations in your life.

    1. Yes, absolutely. Those breaks are necessary. Thanks, it’s been tough but has taught me a lot too.

  41. Welcome back, Pooja! Glad you took a break and hope that helps keep things on the up and up for you. I’ve been very busy with blogging, volunteer work, and cycling. We’ve hot hot, dry weather which is feeding the wildfires in the northern part of our province.

    1. Thank you! Yeah, it’s been really helpful and I feel like I’ve come back more enthusiastic. So sorry to hear about that, hopefully the weather will cool down at least a little soon.

      1. You’re very welcome and thank you. What we’re most hoping for is rain to knock down the wildfires. Cooler temperatures are coming though, too.

  42. Its good to have you back, looking forward to more

    1. Thank you so much, I’m really happy to be back.

  43. Hi P.J. Glad to read you had a refreshing break. Breaks are good for us. I finished reading your poetry collection last night. 👍🏻

    1. Thanks so much. I hope you enjoyed the collection 😊

      1. Very much, thank you. I will submit a review soon. ⭐

        1. I so appreciate that, thank you 🙏

  44. My ex had a lot of issues I wasn’t prepared to deal with. I’d assumed marriage meant I could lower all my boundaries, so I was quite vulnerable to them. I spent a year in therapy after the divorce.

    1. I’m so sorry to hear that, it’s so tough when it’s someone you lived with. I’m glad you decided to do therapy after the divorce, it helps us make sense of everything and learn to set boundaries again.

      1. It did, but then after therapy I was back in the dating pool again and that was a miserable experience, too. I didn’t really start to recover until I travelled and lived elsewhere, out of a cultural matrix I wasn’t suited for,

        1. Oh I see. I’m currently just not dating at all because it really has been a miserable experience for me too and I’m not able to move right now.

  45. So you are telling me that
now after hairfcut you look like justin bieber?

    wow

WP without PooJ must be a MAYDAY MAYDAY

    1. I wouldn’t say I look like Justin Bieber but my haircut is the same as his in the 2010’s lol. Haha well I was gone a month and WP seems to be fine in my absence. Are you back to blogging?

      1. I never left blogging
        just weird scheduling

        I’m not engaging
        but posting
        posted 3 times last month

Let’s try 4 this month atleast

        1. Ooh okay, gotcha. It’s great you’re still trying to post regularly.

  46. Looking forward to the book reviews! ☺️

    1. Thanks, hope you’ll enjoy them! 😊

  47. Happy to hear that you are doing better. Great to hear from you Pooj.

    1. Thank you so much. Hope all has been well with you too.

  48. Yay 😉 Glad you are back, Queen <3 … Wondering how you can wear your crown with a mohawk (lol) !!! No good gossip but happy dancing you're posting 😀 !!!

    1. Aww thanks so much! Don’t worry I’ve had my crown readjusted to fit just right! 🤭

  49. Welcome back, Pooja! 💞💞💞 We’re still here, plunking along 😉

    1. Thank you so much, glad everyone is still here haha! 💕💕

  50. <3

  51. Hey girl Heyyyyyyy!

  52. I went to SoCal with my niece and her daughter to see my son and his girlfriend and his improv school; also visited friends. A great time and a really crazy place

    1. Oh nice, that sounds lovely.

  53. It’s always good to see you, Pooja.

    1. Thank you so much and you as well.
